I need to adjust the code below to copy values only. right now it is copying
format as well.
the following code filters data and copies to worksheets specified in code, can this code be shortened to make the macro run faster. Also in my second criteria how can I put "Contains "PT2" in the criteria as nothing happens when i run the macro, is *PT2?
With shtRec
.AutoFilterMode = False
.Range("A7").AutoFilter Field:=8, Criteria1:="LEHMAN", Operator:=xlAnd
With .AutoFilter.Range
On Error Resume Next
Set rng = .Resize(.Rows.Count - 1).Offset(1).SpecialCells(12)
On Error GoTo 0
End With
If rng Is Nothing Then
MsgBox "No data to copy"
Else
rng.Copy shtLehman.Range("A6")
End If
.AutoFilterMode = False
End With
I found the code below and it works perfectly if I want to copy all the other sheets to a master sheet. But, I need to specify specific sheets. Basically I have a workbook consisting of multiple sheets and multiple "master" sheets so I need to specify in the code which sheets it should be copying.

Consider two instances of Excel - one with a workbook containing a chart and some VBA code, the other containing a blank workbook. When I paste a chart from the first instance of Excel to the other, all the VBA code from the original workbook is also pasted into a new third hidden workbook in the second instance of Excel! If that weren't weird enough ON WINDOWS XP (but not Windows 2000) if the VBA code included WorkbookOpen or AutoOpen this code is executed in the second instance of Excel, which of course fails if it references sheets that only existed in the workbook open in the first instance of Excel! This is the first time I've seen the same version of Excel do different things on different versions of Windows! Example attached - What's going on!? Auto Merged Post Until 24 Hrs Passes;...note: this does not happen when pasting charts between workbooks open in the SAME instance of Excel
View 6 Replies View RelatedI need a Macro that Copies all the duplicate values in a column (and their corresponding rows) over to a new spreadsheet.
For example,
1 A B C D E F G
1 Z X Y D R M T
2 B 5 7 8 9 0 4
Because 1 is a repeated value in the first column, the macro copies the first two rows over to a new spreadsheet.
I currently have the following code that copies a range opens notepad pastes the range opens save dialog and types the file name. The problem I have is with overwriting the existing file.
Range("A1:A202").Select
Selection.Copy
Shell "notepad.exe", vbNormalFocus
SendKeys "^V"
SendKeys "^s"
SendKeys "Total_IEDs_Hour_Of_Day_2009.xml"
SendKeys "{TAB}"
SendKeys "a"
SendKeys "{ENTER}"
Everything works fine to this point. Then it opens the do you want to overwrite dialog and I cant get it to hit yes.
I have some buttons in different sheets in an excel file, each button has its own code, that is the reason I can not move the code related to each object to another location (sheet or module).
And I have one piece of code in Module1 (Auto_load) in order to execute automatically this routine every time file is opened. Inside "auto_load" routine I initialize some values of some check buttons,options buttons and positions of some objects in diferent sheets, but I can not pass the value of variables between Module and Sheet's code even when I declare as public variables and/or function.
I have the following structure: ...
I have set of data in multiple range ,need to fill the and replace the old values depends upon two column values (AH & AL)
IF Active Calls is "TATA" In AH:AH, and IF Action Onwer Col is "Blank",in AL:AL
Then Fill the Blank cells by Values "SVC" in the col Action Owner,Then Replace Old values by "Updates Awaited" in Status Col(AM:AM)

I have some numbers in the range A1:A10, any macro make 20 copies of these numbers and paste them one after another down column A?

I need the number of copies printed on the label also such as 1/20 ,2/20. I found a good macro on this site but i can't get it print 1 of 2, 2 of 2. Can anyone help me?

I have created a spreadsheet containing about 30+ macros and then copied it with a new title eg, sheet2013.xlsm (original) and sheet2014.xlsm. My problem is that every time I open the 2014 sheet it re-connects to the macros in the 2013 sheet (if this makes any sense). Is there a way to lock macros to a spreadsheet, ie open both sheets and use the macros within those sheets?
View 1 Replies View RelatedNot sure why this Code is not copying data across to the second worksheet.
The attached file 140404 Need Range.xlsm is an extract showing only the relevant elements of a much larger structure.
Drivers upload a stock record each day onto the Data Input sheet, listing what products and volumes they have loaded.
Because the range of products varies every day, this has to be set as a "dynamic" range on the worksheet.
To create a printable form, I need to copy each Item ID and Quantity from the Data Input sheet into the "Van Load" spreadsheet.
So Data Input D10 copies to Van Load E6 and the quantities from C10 to G6, down one row, repeat, etc. until the last row of variable Data Input range.
Option Explicit
Sub VANRECORD()
Dim lRow As Range, oCell As Range, nRD As Range, ws As Worksheet
Set lRow = ActiveSheet.Range("B" & Range("B65536").End(xlUp).Row)

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a sheet which is a basically my template, it has a bunch of formulas etc on it
I need to create about 200 copies of this exact sheet and its formatting etc, is there anyway you can bulk copy a worksheet or does this need to be done individually?
I have 5 opened files. I have copied into those files a set of formulas from my master sheet (with the macro). In A3 of ALL the open files, there is a date (ex. Date: 1/4/2014) Based on that date I want to copy the result of what I copied into the files (below is the code that I used to copy into the open files, maybe I could add something to create a named range of the resulting paste) back into the master sheet into a tab called 2014 and into a cell two cells below the cell in row 12 with the MATCHING date.
View 14 Replies View RelatedQuestion 1) Is there a way that whenever I select Cell B39 that it will copy cells B39:V39 ? From there I can manually paste that selection to where I need to.
If this is possible, it would save the effort of having to select B39:V39 manually and clicking CTRL-C. I am gathering data and the copying and pasting is killing me.
Question 2) Is it possible that when I click on Cell A9 that it can paste any data that I just copied from another worksheet to cells A9:D29? The size of the selection that I would copy is the same size as A9:D29 (4 columns & 29 rows).
I have searched for a solution, but I am not having much luck since I am anaware of the proper terminology for these types of actions.
I need is the code for a command button to copy the info in specific cells, to a text box that I have created.
Lets say the cells are in sheet1 and the text box is on sheet 2. The command button will be on sheet3
Also I am copying multiple cells. so If the code can include an example with multiple cells it would be great
I need an excel macro that will copy the last row of data from one worksheet within a workbook to another worksheet in the same work book. The last row number of data will alwasy vary
View 9 Replies View RelatedI am looking for a Macro, which would first ask me to input the member notation in a new tab (Say M1 in the example). After I give the input as M1 or M2 or M2 or so on, it would display only rows for Section 1 (min and max values) and section 4 (min and Max values)(highlighted in Red). I know it is petty simple, but I am still an amateur with regards to Macros.

I have created a macro, which copies data from 1 sheet to another, in order to Format and rearrange the columns.
The problem I have is that if I "Insert" a column on sheet 2, I have to amend all of the ranges in the macro to reflect this.
Sample of the code
Worksheets("FTIS Data").Select
Range("e5:e" & Range("e" & Rows.Count).End(xlUp).Row).Copy
Worksheets("Quote Tracker").Select
Range("c5").Select
ActiveSheet.Paste
Worksheets("FTIS Data").Select
Range("g5:g" & Range("g" & Rows.Count).End(xlUp).Row).Copy
Worksheets("Quote Tracker").Select
Range("d5").Select
ActiveSheet.Paste
i created a sheet and called it "Original" (which somehow is a template), in another sheet i created a big Button named "Create account" ,then i created a macro which copies that "Original" sheet and by default it names it "Original 2 " now that i need a new account each time i click that button to create a new sheet and rename it by the client name i need, in order to keep the "Original" intact as a template. It happens sometimes by mistake that i rename the "Original" one ( The template one) which therefore returns an error when i click the button!
Is there anyway to add to that macro a code which rename that "Original 2" something else lets say "Account" to differentiate it from the Template one?
Or to Protect only the "Original" sheet from being renamed out of the whole sheets i have , in order not to rename it accidentally?
I have created a tab that will be used as a template. Is there a way to quickly duplicate that tab in the same workbook 500 times?
View 9 Replies View RelatedTrying to create a spreadsheet to track transactions. Sheet "A" is the working file with a limit of 25 rows. When a transaction is complete, I would like a macro button that copies one of these rows (1-25) to an archive file (Sheet "B"). I would like it to copy and paste to the next available row on Sheet "B".
I would like to create a macro to enable a user to enter the number of copies to print, and then print that number of copies of a predetermined range in a spreadsheet. My InputBox routine works fine, but I don't know how to use the info I just captured. The code I have so far is as follows, but I guess I don’t know where this number is stored, or how to use it in a print statement. Needless to say, this routine doesn’t print the number of copies entered by the user.
Sub TestPrint()
' Ask user to input the number of copies to be printed.
Dim Message, Title, Default, MyValue
Message = "Please enter the number of copies to print" ' Set prompt.
Title = "Number of copies" ' Set title.
Default = "2" ' Set default.
' Display message, title, and default value.
MyValue = InputBox(Message, Title, Default)
Sheets("PaidOut").Select
ActiveWindow.SelectedSheets.PrintOut Copies:=1, Collate:=True
End Sub

Each workbook will have small differences in the data held. This is because I will refresh the sheet before saving it. There is a dropdown list on the 1st tab of the workbook that contains the names of the sites. The sequense, I suppose would be like: select the next name on the dropdown list"calculate" the spreadsheet to enable the refreshsome sort of "save-as" with the name from the dropdown list forming the name of the file.
