View 9 RepliesI'm trying to create a macro the saves a report and then opens an email dialogue box populating the recipients from a list. I have the following code so far but the receivers are constant.
[Code] .....
I have attached a simplified example of the list. The list is always sorted by time and date. Not including headers, the list can be from 1 to an unspecified number of users long and users may repeat throughout the list any number of times.
The user name always appears as their email address prefix and the email address will always end in "@example.com".
I am aware that a loop could perform this task but do not know how to employ it in this case as it must not repeat recipients and will also need to populate the EmTo line. Possibly a second loop for this?

I have two worksheets (sheet1(1687 rows), sheet2(767 rows)). Both have part numbers in Column A
I want to be able to search Column A for duplicates found in the other worksheet. When it finds those duplicates, iw oudl like for the Part Number(columnA) and the cost(column D) to be pasted onto a third worksheet (sheet 3)
I have found lots of similar things out there, but nothing that does what I want.
I will do this Each Monday morning. I am ok with VB but what takes me 3 weeks sometimes takes you guys 10 min.
I am trying to loop the following code for a total of 15 worksheets without copying and pasting that same code 14 more times for each worksheet. Right now it is only executing the code on the "CAN" tab. Is there a way to make it loop where indicated below?
The 15 worksheets are:
CAN
USA
ASG
Gallia

I’m looking for a code that finds all duplicate words in column A & B and change the font of the found duplicate word in column B to ColorIndex = 11 and .FontStyle = “Bold”
I need this code to run frequently and possibly we can combine it with http://www.mrexcel.com/board2/viewto...272792#1272792
The wb is a dictionary and as I’m adding new words in new rows the wb needs to update. It is of course mostly important it updates when I open the wb, but it would be interesting if it could update for every new row (word) added as I might not want to close and re-open the wb just for this.
I have a table that looks like this:
ID
HostLocation
NDaysinHost
marina.silva
USA
100
[Code]....
I would like to obtain a table in the following format where I can find
ID HostLocation NDaysinHost
marina.silva USA, Norway, Bolivia, Italy, Ecuador... 100,45,67,8,9...
tatiana.gottig Venezuela, Chile, Peru, Canada 89,54,32,6
Searching in the net I found the following code:
VB:
Sub groupConcat()Dim dc As Object
Dim inputArray As Variant
Dim i As Integer
Set dc = CreateObject("Scripting.Dictionary")
inputArray = WorksheetFunction.Transpose(Sheets(1).Range("A2:C9").Value)
[Code]....
However I only obtain the first two columns concatenated. It says that for more columns repeat the loop, however I did and the result was not the expected, it returned me the same two columns again concatenated. How can I arrange this to fit my criteria?
I have 12 Workbooks (each for every month) name Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, May, Jun, Jul, Aug, Sep, Oct, Nov, Dec
These workbooks contains something like the following
Name
Days of Vacation
Something Else#1
Something else#2
Something else #3

I want something to loop through the months and copy all rows for mary in a summary sheets and sum the Days of Vacation from Column B.
Note that The first Workbook has some data, the 2nd Workbook is the Jan and the 13 Workbook is the Dec, the 14t is the Summary Workbook
VB:
Sub SearchForString()
Application.Calculation = xlCalculationManual
Dim LSearchRow As Integer
Dim LCopyToRow As Integer
LCopyToRow = 2

I wanted to know if there is any way possible to get vba to insert a formula in a cell to each worksheet in each workbook in a folder and then using loop to extract all the info from each worksheet of each workbook in same folder into a master workbook?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have this code attached to a button on the first sheet of a workbook with hundreds of sheets.
it is suposed to look for a cell that contains "SAY:" and then move one column to the right and make it a zero. It works on the first sheet but not on any other sheet.
I have spreadsheet application which have a ton of sheets and macro into it, and i work on devlop and program it , and add new feature and codes
i wana Module_Macro to find and replace lines of vba code and replace it with lines of codes .
i know ,i should use vbide and vbcompnent , but i dont know from where to start ?
I have a workbook that contains, say, 50 worksheets: the first two worksheets summarise the data and are static in that they don't move position. However, the next four worksheets contain certain data for any given month. Each time a new month comes along, say, November, I insert four new worksheets after the two static ones as a result October's four worksheets are simply moved down the line in terms of worksheet order.
I need a macro to refer to the first six worksheets only (not the other tabs). I opted for index referencing for each worksheet, ie one - six. Now within these six worksheets in any given month, I need to sort the data by a certain column. The problem: in sheets 1,4,5 and 6 I need to rank by column E, but in sheets 2 and 3 I need to rank by column C. I have stepped through the code, which works for sheets 3-6, but doesn't seem to refer to sheets 1-2.
Sub WorksheetLoop()

' Loop through an indexed number of worksheets; _
' & this ensures that the worksheet range is dynamic _
' and is able to adjust when new sheets are added/removed, etc.

Just need to delete some hyperlinks in column A on 50+ worksheets. Thought a loop through all the worksheets would do it. Only works on active sheet. Forgive my ignorance, don't really even know where it goes, once it works - module or workbook?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to find duplicates withing an Excel document across 4 Worksheets.
The data that needs to be checked is in column A on every worksheet.
So basically worksheet 1 contains the master data and worksheet 2,3 & 4 contain other data. I want to subtract 2,3 & 4 from worksheet 1 and have it display the data thats left in worksheet 5.
We receive huge Excel files and we need to validate for and delete duplicate records before they are imported to a software product called Exceed Premier. We are having a difficult time with Excel spreadsheet duplicate record validation because we have to first export the files from the Exceed database into an Excel spread, merge the thousands of other new records from multiple Excel files, then import back into Exceed.
Is there a method in Excel/VBA that can merge several worksheets and check for and delete duplicate irecords? The records will be in the 20-50K range and growing.
I'm trying to use this Find Method and combine it with a countif or loop. Something that will count a number of occurences of a unique type of character. I'm looking to find all "F" characters in Bold, Italic and Size 16. Here's my find code that I'm trying to use. I can get it to work by itself but not along with a countif or loop.
Sub count_4()
Dim r As Range
Set r = Range("A1:A6")
With Application.FindFormat.Font
.Bold = True
.Italic = True
.Size = 16
End With
r.Find(What:="F", LookIn:=xlValues, LookAt:=xlWhole, SearchOrder:=xlByRows, _
SearchDirection:=xlNext, searchformat:=True, MatchCase:=True).Activate
End Sub
I have a macro that delete empty cells in a column, what i wanted to do is while deleting the empty cells is that the macro will also delete duplicates in ENTIRE WORKSHEETS. My file has so many sheets so i need a macro that run or loop on my entire worksheets.
This is my code. that only runs in a single sheet.
Code:
Sub deleteblanks()
Columns("H").SpecialCells(xlBlanks).Delete (xlUp)

I am trying to copy worksheets from a master workbook to numerous other destination workbooks. I would like the code to check if the destination workbooks already contain any of the sheets being copied and if this is the case, miss out that sheet and move on to the next. Currently, if duplicate sheets are present, a second sheet is created and copied to the destination file.
VB:
Sub CopyTrend()
Dim Filename1, sFileNameAndPath, sThisWorkbookName As String

I have a number of sheets in my workbook which I'd like to run the same code against. Rather than calling each by name is there a way to define each sheet as an array number and use that to loop through?
For this example we'll use Sheet1, Sheet2, Sheet3 and Sheet4
I have a simple macro with a loop which selects sheets in a workbook. sheets are named "Sheet 1" to Sheet 6". Two sheets are missing (say sheet 3 and sheet 5). The On Error code works when the macro tries to find sheet 3 but crashes on the second error (when it tries to find sheet 5).
Sub SelectSheet()
For i = 1 To 6
MySheet = "Sheet" & i
On Error Goto 10
Sheets(MySheet).Select
10
Next i

I have a excel 2007 workbook that has 5 sheets "MASTER" , "RED" , "WHITE", "GOLD" & "BLUE". There are 7 columns in each sheet and the master has about 8,000 rows . In column D of each sheet there is a unique number (approx. 8 - 10 digits ) that I would like to at the press of a command button search through sheets "RED" "WHITE" "GOLD" & "BLUE" against the unique numbers in the "MASTER" sheet and if there any duplicates numbers delete the entire row but leave all the data in the master sheet.

It’s just the looping (as always) I’m having trouble with. The code I’m trying is:

Basically I have 20 Worksheets currently. The first one is called "index", then I have 17 called App1, App2, App3 etc up to App17 and a final two called Collate and register.
What I want to do is to copy cells A2:E2 from App1 and paste it in the next blank row of "index". I then want to do the same in App2 and so on to App17 and then stop. I don't want it to do the same in index,Collate or Register.
in the past i have used something like (this is from something else I am using at the moment)
HTML Code:
Sheets("App1").Select
Range("a2:e2").Select
Application.CutCopyMode = False
Selection.COPY
Range("a1").Select
Sheets("index").Select
Range("a2").Select
ActiveSheet.Paste
[Code] ....
Is there a way without having to write code for each sheet (which seems very inefficient) to complete the same task but ignore the three other tabs.
This macro should copy all data from all worksheets and past them into the sheet named "Consol" however It is not looping and only pastes the one sheet.

I have over 200 worksheets in my workbook. I made a macro to have the sheet change to landscape orientation and adjust the column widths how I wanted them. I don't know how to make the macro loop to all the sheets in the workbook.

I have a worksheet ("Issues Report"). Based on the value in column A, I'm trying to cut the entire row and paste it on another worksheet ("Closed Issues").
Here's what I've written so far:
Dim C As Range
Dim xlSheet As Worksheet
Set xlSheet = Worksheets("Issues Report")
Set C = xlSheet.Range("A:A")
With xlSheet
For Each cell In C
If cell.Value = "Ready to Close" Then
ActiveCell.EntireRow.Select
Selection.Cut
Worksheets("Closed Issues").Range("A65536").Select
Selection.End(xlUp).Paste
End If
Next cell
This seems logical to me, but it's not working as planned. The code gets hung up on the 11th line of code.
Trying to write a macro that will reference one cell in about sixteen different worksheets and return the value of each of those cells. Is there an easy way to do this?
ie.
For n = 1 To n = 15
Worksheet(n + 1).Cell("A1")
Return A1
I know this isn't even close to the right code but this should give you an idea of what I'm trying to do.
