Macro Adds Blank Rows When Pasting Data In From Another Sheet?
Mar 11, 2014I have a macro which opens a csv file, moves a few columns about then pastes the data into a master workbook. The problem I have is that even though there is only around 1,500 rows of data on the csv file, the sheet on the master workbook is showing up to row 1,048,576 after the data has been pasted in! This is causing issues as I use this data later on in the macro and there are a couple of 'find and replace' commands that take an age to run because of the number of blank rows.

What I am trying to do is find VBA code that will move data by date from an (Entry) sheet to a (Historical) sheet. I want to enter a date in B3 on the (Entry) sheet. I then enter data into C3. What I would like to happen is when the data is entered into C3 the sheet goes and finds the same date that I entered in B3 and copies that data from C3 into Column E of the (Historical) sheet.

Aug 8, 2014 I use my workbook to track sales data from one store to the next. I use my workbooks to compare data from year to year. Each year's data is displayed on a separate worksheet. '2013' has 2013's data, '2014' has 2014's. On the 2014 sheet, I have a Prior Year's Sales that pulls data from the previous year's spreadsheet using a formula which I just drag down each day I enter sales. I would like to automate this process and have the VBA code check for today's date and automatically pull the previous year's sales data from the '2013' sheet and put it in the appropriate cell on the '2014' worksheet. I hope I have explained this well enough to understand. I've included a link to my workbook for reference.

May 14, 2014What I have is a sheet that is copied periodically from some source sheet, and on this sheet is a table. This sheet is called "Onsite Checklist Template" and it's table is titled "Checklist". I also have another sheet called "Loggers and Initial Notes" which has a tabled titled "Record", and then finally a title sheet call "Proj Details".
To clear this intro up - The sheets, in their order, is: "Proj Details", "Loggers and Initial Notes", "Onsite Checklist Template". The tables: "Record" on "Loggers..." and "Checklist" on "Onsite..."
When the user wants to make a new site visit, he/she fills in the requested date and then selects a button on "Proj...". When this button is selected, it copies the table data on "Record" and puts it on "Checklist", then inserts a new worksheet tab, always in the 3rd position (the title is based on the site visit date in which the user entered), which is a copy of "Onsite...". Now we have another sheet with a table called "Checklist1", and upon another new site visit, there will be another worksheet with "Checklist2", and so on.
On the "Onsite..." worksheet, there is a button on it which also gets copied with the worksheet so that every new worksheet has this copied "Checklist ???" and this button. I'm looking for a macro that, when the button is selected, will bounce the active sheet's table "Checklist ???" off of "Record" and make changes as needed.
"Checklist ???" data range is B11:M20 (the header is on row 10); "Record" data range is B29:Q78 (the header is on row 28); Column headers are titled the same, just that "Record" has 4 extra columns, 3 in the middle and 1 on the end. "Checklist ???" columns 1-12 to "Record" columns 1-7, 10-12, 14-15. The search criteria is the 4th column in both tables ("Trk #").
I need the macro to do the following:If it finds a match, then update "Record" as needed with data from "Checklist ???", changing whatever cell is different in the row that contains the matching "Trk #", so long as the cell on "Checklist ???" is populated (i.e, if a cell on the target row of "Record" has a value, but it's blank on "Checklist ???", then "Record" wins; if it's blank on "Record", but populated on "Checklist ???", the Checklist wins. If both populated but different, then Checklist wins.If a "Trk #" exists on "Checklist ???" but is not on "Record" then add the line to "Record" (the 1st empty row, table size remains)I see no need for any "delete" at this time.
My concerns: The last column on record (column #16) is the filtering column for the worksheet copy event and needs to be left alone (it's formulated to produce a "Yes" or "No")I would like the ability to adjust table sizes if needed without modifying the macroThe table rows on "Checklist ???" will not be changed, deleted, or altered in any way by the macro.

Have Userform Populate Only Active Sheet Not By Sheet Name
Dec 4, 2012I have a userform in my workbook with a button to access it on twenty different sheets in the workbook. Currently the userform will only populate the sheet titled "Blank1". How can I change it so it will populate the active sheet without naming it? So no matter what sheet I'm on when I hit the submit button the userform will populate only the sheet I selected the button on? See macro below.

Jan 16, 2009I am running the formula =VALUE(RIGHT(CELL("filename"),15)) to read the tab name in a workbook with 90 sheets. When a new account is opened, the operator inserts a new sheet from a template (which contains the above formula), and labels the tab to the account number. The formula then 'reads' in the account number and performs look-ups based on it.
The problem is that the sheets are only working when the sheet is active. They all seem to reflect the data in the active sheet or give me a #VALUE error. Where am I going wrong? How do I fix the problem?

Oct 11, 2006I have been trying to create a macro in excel to chart a selection of data and to output the chart on the active sheet where the data was taken (as opposed to a named sheet). So basically, I have about 300 worksheets with data, and I would like to have a button on each page that automatically charts that data when clicked, and outputs the chart to the page where the macro was clicked. However, I have not been able to figure out a relative reference that will allow me to make the LocationasObject reference simply the ActiveSheet as opposed to a specifically named sheet. Apr 18, 2009I want to be able to copy a name from one sheet (Available Players), paste it to a cell in another sheet (Round 1 through Round 20). The cell that will be copied is fixed but the place where it will be pasted will be different and may be on a different sheet.

Jan 1, 2014I have a workbook where Sheet A is a Master Order Form. Employees will input the quantities they need in Column C. The sheet will be otherwise protected. Sheet B is a "printable" order form that only contains the rows from Sheet A where the Quantity on Sheet A is not blank and is >=1. This will allow me to print sheet B with no blank rows for the items I don't need.
I found the following formula which claims to be able to do what I want:

Mar 31, 2014See attached my workbook, I have a user form and when the OK button is pressed I need to get the data to write to the master sheet. Sheet1 behind.
Is there also a way I can re-populate all the data back to the userform using my search URN combo box?
Then the recorded can be altered and when update is pressed on the user form the record just updates on the master and not adds another record.

VBA Code Not Copy Data To Other Sheet
May 16, 2014My vba code to copy row A110 of "Mod" worksheet to A9 in Table A of "Email Data" worksheet using some logic like - in Mod worksheet it searches for data i.e. "COUNT(DISTINCTM.TRANS_ID)" if found then it searches for "row selected" and it searches for data between the two . And then it pastes 34864 to A9 of Email Data worksheet . I have written code for this but it doesn't works.
Also i need vba code similarly for searching "CAP_ACTV_LN_SEQ" and then the values inside it to be pasted i.e. row 128 and row 129 in Mod worksheet to be pasted in table e in Email Data worksheet . Remember there are 2 rows but there can be any number of row anytime.
Also the vba code for "NULLPOINTEREXCEPTION'" is there in the sheet which is working fine. It can be used for your reference.

Mar 18, 2007i m looking for code that would copy the contents of cells A3:E100, but there might not always be 99 rows of data so could it check for rows of data below row 3 between A and E, and then copy G3:H4, all this data is in ' sheet 2' and could it paste all this data in 'sheet 3' but two columns away (to the right) of any existing data already pasted in row 3.
