I have browsed this subject on the thread but I did not find specific answer to my problem. I am into inventory of items and I have created a userform and placed a combobox (as dropdown list for me to choose the products) and a text box for my qty input. Will you kindly help me put the right code if I choose product A in the combobox list the textbox entry will fall into the same row as the product on the appointed column in the excel sheet.
I created a UserForm then linked ComboBox1 to range A2:A, TextBox2 to range E2:E, and ComboBox3 to range M2:M of the same worksheet, named Sheet3. The row contents in Column A, Column E, and Column M are associated. Therefore, when the UserForm is active I want to be able to select a row from Column A in ComboBox1 and have the UserForm pull the contents from the same row of Column E into TextBox2, and Column M into ComboBox3. Here is what I have so far, but its not quite doing it.
Code: Private Sub UserForm_Initialize() Sheets("Sheet3").Activate Dim ColARange As Range
I have created a user form that needs dependent combo boxes. I have created multiple lists to use for different types of contacts and just want to use the if function to say that if combo box one's value is this, combo box two will use this list in its drop down box. This is what I have at the moment below.
cbosoi is combo box one and cboname is combo box 2. If I select Duty_manger from the first list I want it to point to the Duty_Manager list for combo box 2. It does that but it selects the duty manager list for anything I select in combo box one!
If cbosoi.Value = duty_manager Then Me.cboname.List = Worksheets("lookuplists comms").Range("duty_manager").Value End If
I have around 50 items in my combobox list where i would like to attach an image on each item and show up on the userform when a certain item is picked. Kindly assist on what code is best for this operation.
I've been asked to build a pricing spread sheet for large construction projects. Each "Room" can be priced from a 15 different list price for the same items. I have a combo box that selects the correct list price row for the items to be price in a single "Room". I would like to be able to copy & paste a room and change the list price selection. This work fine except for the Cell Link in the combo box, which holds the original cell in the Cell Link reference when it is copied. It does not let me use a formula as the Cell Link reference.
I have a drop down combo box with 4 options in (1, 2,3 and 4). Under this I have a label. What I want to do is have it so if I select, for example "2", then it says "D11 DJJ" In the label. The name of my CBO is CBOCarNum and the name of the label is LBLRegi
I am creating a user interface for inputing info into a sales order, and then printing the sales forms already pre-filled based on the user's input. SO, I need the user to be able to type text into a textbox that is in a multipage control that is in a userform, and then have it automatically populate a specific cell in my workbook. Seems like this should be relatively simple, but I am just getting started with vba and can't seem to figure this out.
I am using Excel 2010. I am creating a flowchart which will require formulas. Unfortunately the flowchart connectors work best with text boxes rather than the cells. To make this method work, data will be entered into the text-boxes and will be calculated into other text boxes. Basically I need the data I enter into a text box to automatically fill itself into a cell in the background. I know there may be other ways to do this whilst not using text boxes at all, but I will not be using them.
I can fill a text-box from a cell by using F2 on the textbox and then typing =A1 etc, but I am having a hard time going the other way - getting a cell to fill from the value in the text box.
I am building a userform which also needs to display current data from a cell in the most recent row of a worksheet. This current data and all userform selections are then to be written to a row in a separate worksheet. I have not been able to properly reference the current data; My (rookie) approach intended to set the ControlSource properties of a TextBox to the desired current data.
Private Sub CommandButton1_Click() 'Begin form ' find last gps reading
Dim LastRow As Long Dim Source As Worksheet Set Source = Worksheets("Sheet1") Set Dec = Worksheets("DecimalForm")
Let's say I place a rectagle/textbox on a worksheet. If I select it and go to the formula bar and write =A1 the content of cell A1 will be displayed in the rectangle (and of course if i change the content of A1 cell, the content of the rectangle/textbox will be updated). How can I do this from a VBA macro? How can I link the content of a rectangle/textbox to a cell?
I am building a conversion calculator on a userform. There is a textbox I've named "UserPctOff" where the user enters their value. I've got a label that I'm using to record the converted value. I keep getting Type 13 Mismatch error.
MFI is the named ranged that is referencing a column of data. This works, but I want to be able to change the MFI to a different named ranged.
So what I am trying to do is using an ActiveX Combo box so I can reference the named ranges that I have set, for example MFI, so each time a user chooses MFI or another named range, it will output to a linked cell (A1). Then the linked cell will be referenced into this forumla.
I have created a userform with several comboxes in which the user can select a value which is in the worksheetrange a1:a70. Now what I want to do is, when the user selects a value I want a textbos to be filled with the value out of the cell next to it. (if user selects a5 I want the textbox to be filled with the value in b5)
I've several values which you may be wanting toknow
I'm attempting to add the values for a combobox and (2) text boxes to a list box on a form. The list has 3 columns. When I run code to add to the list box the values are added on separate rows instead of the same row. See code below and attached screen shot.
VB: Private Sub cmdAddToList_Click() Dim i As Integer Dim iRow As Integer If Me.cboParts.ListIndex = -1 Then Exit Sub For i = 0 To Me.lstParts.ListCount - 1
I am trying to populate (via VBA) a textbox/combo box from one user form to another user form.
The first user form has a room number in a text box1. If certain conditions exists, a button is selected to bring up another user form (both forms are modeless).
I want to pass/populate some of the 1st user Form info into the other user form.
I have tried the on initialize textbox1.value = textbox other.value but no dice. I can populate a user form text box from a spreadsheet but from box to box in separate user forms has me a little stumped.
I have a userform with a combobox and a textbox, I would like that when I click the dropdown on the combobox I can pick an item from a list found on a spreadsheet in column A. This spreadsheet has two columns of data A & B. I would like to automatically populate the textbox with the data (from Column B) based on what was chosen in the combobox for (column A).
Example A B Don $5.00 John $6.75 Jerry $4.75
If I was to pick John in the combobox, I would like for the textbox to populate with $6.75.
I have a user form that has a combobox, two textboxes, and a button on it. When the form is loaded, the combobox fills with data from a worksheet I created. THe worksheet has a column with the item names, and another column with the quanity of each item. The combobox is filled with the item names. SO far I have this done. My issue is that when the user selects an item from the combobox, and enters a quantity in to the first textbox, and then clicks the button, I want the quantity in the textbox to add to the quantity cell that the part number from the combobox references to. Then I want this new quantity to show in the cell and the second textbox.
i have this userform which has a combobox for a selection of months. beside it, i have this textbox which asks for the year. scenario: if i choose January in my combobox and i will type 2007 in my textbox, the combined entry will be January 2007 that will be saved in cell A1 of Sheet 2.
I am trying to insert information from a combobox into a textbox. The issue I have is that the information in the combobox is generated by accessing a network folder and filling the combobox with the names of the various folders. The combobox only generates the first seven digits of the folder...
Private Sub combobox1_DropButtonClick() Call ShowFolderInfo("j:Consultant ServicesState Projects") End Sub
Sub ShowFolderInfo(folderspec) Dim index As Object Dim fs As FileSystemObject Dim folderObject As Folder Dim SubFolders As Folders.......................
