I need to use two types of fonts to not only display a string of characters in a textbox but also past to a cell as viewed in the textbox.
An example string:
[#|:.010(M)|A|N(M)|B(M)]
The above string in Arial font would look like this:
[TP|Ø.010(M)|A|N(M)|B(M)]
I am simulating a GD&T instruction (Geometric Deimensioning and Tolerancing).
My dilema stems from the first character "[" and the last character "]". I use both of these characters to open an instruction and close the instruction (as if all characters are surrounded by a rectangle).
What I cant figure out is how to isolate the first "[" and the last "]" (They will always be the first and last characters of an unknown string length). The first "[" would be an "Arial font" and the last would be an "Arial font" everything in between is another font (in this case Verisurf). See attached example jpg file. "verisurf1.jpg"
Verisurf uses both "[" and "]" as alternate characters. I only need to capture the first and last character if: 1. The first is a "[" and or the last is a "]". They will never be vice~versa.
I want to display mutliple columns in a form control combobox. Tried activex and the easy part was the multiple columns. I couldn't get the activex combobox to update properly when a cell value changed.
The form control combobox updates properly but it is only displaying the first column of my named range.
I created a UserForm then linked ComboBox1 to range A2:A, TextBox2 to range E2:E, and ComboBox3 to range M2:M of the same worksheet, named Sheet3. The row contents in Column A, Column E, and Column M are associated. Therefore, when the UserForm is active I want to be able to select a row from Column A in ComboBox1 and have the UserForm pull the contents from the same row of Column E into TextBox2, and Column M into ComboBox3. Here is what I have so far, but its not quite doing it.

I've written a workbook that enables my workmates to enter sample information easily (workbook attached). What i need help on i cant get the combobox 's on the user form to pick up the related info in worksheet named "data" and insert it into the relavant coloumn in tab named "Results". I can get it to work without using combobox's and just typing the info into a textbox but i wanted to use combobox's.
Another thing i wanted to do was pick invidual results and send them the "Report" for printing. how would i do that.
I have two types of lists that has to be populated into comboboxes. First type is in a column with a header - lets say A1:A20. For them I`m using a following script:

With them all is fine until I need to start for example from row 26. (lets say range to populate is T26:T32) Then I`m lost. changing Offset(1) to Offset(26) doesn't work and I`m getting an error. That however can be handled with a workaround - creating another list that starts from the top. So I gave up on solving that. I need to populate a list from a range that is a row - B5:B20

Because of some strange reason the script doesn`t see the number 1 in cell B5 and unless there are some more numbers in the following cells, it gives the "no cells found error".
I have created a userform with several comboxes in which the user can select a value which is in the worksheetrange a1:a70. Now what I want to do is, when the user selects a value I want a textbos to be filled with the value out of the cell next to it. (if user selects a5 I want the textbox to be filled with the value in b5)

I created a data entry form that contains a ComboBox. The ComboBox is based on a range that has three columns and many rows. The purpose is to have the user select an item from the first column, and the other two columns are automatically filled in on the table.
The form works and the data is transferred to the table as it should. The issue is that when you select the ComboBox, it displays the data from all three columns wrapped in two columns. Some of the data is repeated and it looks confusing. How do I have the drop down show only the data in the first column?

I have a userform called "Description_Form". I had a listbox on this which worked 100%. I then decided to replace the listbox with a combobox. I replaced the word listbox1 with combobox1 in teh code below and now I am getting an error message:

I am trying to create a form with a combobox drop down menu. The list I need displayed is in cells C4:C20 but I only want to show unique values not all of them.
I have a simple user form that has a combobox and 5 textboxes.
The combobox gets its row source from all the data in column A of the worksheet and the 5 textboxes will have decimal number inputted.
when commandbutton 1 is clicked I would like exel to find the value in the combobox on the worksheet and input the 5 textboxes in colums B-F. I'm sure it has something to do with "offset", but I can't quite figure it out.
Right now I am constructing a macro so that upon exection, the user will be forced to select one of the dropdown menu options which are listed in a dynamic array. The dropdown menu should be in a popup of somekind created by the macro and not on any of the worksheets or charts. I would like to then assign the choice that the user makes to a variant. I have searched the web but not found what I am looking for and was hoping that someone could give me some phydocode that I can look at. The restrictions that I am operating by do not allow me to place a combobox upon any of the worksheets which is what I find in all the examples posted online.
I have a form set up with excel (2003) using vba. I'm doing a check to see if textbox1 is empty, if it is, a msgbox pops up with a warning that "textbox1 needs to be filled out". I click OK and the cursor goes to textbox2. I want the cursor to return to texbox1 without user intervention but can't figure out how. I'm using "Private Sub TextBox1_Exit(ByVal Cancel As MSForms.ReturnBoolean)". I know it can be done because I did it with vba Access, but I can't seem to find it using vba Excel.

I am into inventory of items and I have created a userform and placed a combobox (as dropdown list for me to choose the products) and a text box for my qty input. I have been able to create a userform that allows users to fill out a form without the need to navigate throught the excel spreadsheet form that has been created. to further refine this I am trying to use either a list box or Combobox to display specific items for certain cells, ie Travel Method (Air / Rail / Other), or Department (Projects / Finance / Engineering / Admin etc). I can create these in a spreadsheet without to much problem, but sofar have been unable to get them to work in the user form.
I have a spreadsheet that records data on various sites with data entered on a userform.
Every so often a site may need to be added or deleted. Is there anyway to use VBA to add an additional field to a Userform, and then also delete the field if necessary?
1) I have a user form that picks data from a spreadsheet - This is for scheduling a course. Works fine
2) I have a second form which should do 2 things: a) On the bottom half of the form, select people from sheet 'Staff'. Works fine b) On the top part, I would like to select a course (using combo box) and fromt this select a date for when the course has been scheduled (from sheet 'Scheduled Courses'). Courses are run a few times so have multiple entries. With some help, have done this and it works well
The problem is that when I select a date for a course using combobox2, I would like to populate the text box 6 & 7 with the cost of the course and the location. This goes wrong as it starts taking cost and location from the first cell. Eg when i select SPIN Selling, all is fine as this are the first courses. However If I take 7 Habits, it gives me costs for SPIN. If I take OM, it still gives me costs for SPIN. The dates in combo box 2 appear fine
What I've done so far is... Created two buttons (Add and Find) in my Excel sheet1. If I click my Add button Form1 opens. In Form1 the user enters a number of values that are inserted into sheet2 of my Excel book. If I click my Find button Form2 is displayed. This form contains a multicolumn textbox that shows some of the columns from sheet2 that have values in them. Now to my BIG problem....
I would like to be able to select a row in my multicolumn textbox, click my OK button there and then Form1 should be displayed with ALL the values from that particular row from sheet2. As I mentioned I'm very new at this and I'm not even sure how to do this logically and much less the correct code for it. I hope that someone could thoroughly explain to me what I have to do and why to be able to get this working.

I'm attempting to add the values for a combobox and (2) text boxes to a list box on a form. The list has 3 columns. When I run code to add to the list box the values are added on separate rows instead of the same row. See code below and attached screen shot.

I am trying to populate (via VBA) a textbox/combo box from one user form to another user form.
The first user form has a room number in a text box1. If certain conditions exists, a button is selected to bring up another user form (both forms are modeless).
I want to pass/populate some of the 1st user Form info into the other user form.

I have a userform with a combobox and a textbox, I would like that when I click the dropdown on the combobox I can pick an item from a list found on a spreadsheet in column A. This spreadsheet has two columns of data A & B. I would like to automatically populate the textbox with the data (from Column B) based on what was chosen in the combobox for (column A).

If I was to pick John in the combobox, I would like for the textbox to populate with $6.75.
