The first Command Button ( called CommandButton22 ) displays the result of some other calculation as its Caption ... this caption will therefore be changing from time to time.
I would like the second Command Button (called EnterButton ), when clicked, to send the caption from CommandButton22 to whatever cell on the active spreadsheet the user clicked into just prior to clicking on the 'EnterButton'.
I would like each time that I click on the 'EnterButton' for the Caption in CommandButton22 to be sent to the next cell down and so on and so on etc.
I'm building a keypad out of commandbutton controls, and there's this strange resizing behavior with the commandbuttons. I've attached an example, as it's much easier to see than describe.... but essentially, clicking a button seems to enlargen it slightly, and then two clicks later, it 'dezooms' back to original size (even with shadows turned off). while this is not hugely noticeable individually, it feels really strange when there's a whole keypad of commandbuttons.
I have a form that allows users to browse for a file so the location can be stored in a cell. When they select a file the form then creates another area so people can browse for another file. (Similar to an attach a file on an email)
The problem I have is that when I create the next button I don't know how to add a _click event to it.
I want to write a macro , which creates a form and once the user double click the form i get a popup message "hello" , but when i run my code i get compile error : Sub or function not defined for the line Sub one().
This is the code on my module:
Sub one() CommandButton1_Click End Sub
And this is the code i get when i double click the button
Private Sub CommandButton1_Click() msg "hello" End Sub
I'm working with 2 different sheets, sheet1 and sheet2.
I'll type in entry 1 to 4. 2 comboboxes, 2 cell values. then click on the command button1.
i'll pass over the values to sheet2 like this: array(comboBox1.value, range("a2").value, comboBox2.value, range("a4").value
I was asked to check against the last time the user click on the command button. if combobox1.value, range("a2").value, comBoBox2.value, range("a4").value MATCHES exactly the last entry in sheet2, it'll give a popup Box before it continues.
I have this code that ideally should change font color in usedRange to red upon button click. The problem is it's not working and I've been pulling my hair out all day (not that there's much left of it)
HTML Code: Option Explicit Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range) Dim UsedRange As Range Dim cel As Range
[Code]....
and the related "End If" this works i.e. if I click on any cell within respective sheet font in used range all changes to Red but I only want this to change on CommandButton1 click which I have inserted in sheet.
I created a UserForm in which the user inputs data and then press "OK" in order to save an output into a specific worksheet. Once the "OK" button clicked, the UserForm repeats itself with some textboxes in blank so that a new output can be generated.
I am trying to display in a Label of the UserForm the number of times the "OK" button is clicked BUT starting from one. In other words, before pressing "OK" the Label indicates "unit no1" and once the "OK" button is clicked it should go "unit no1 +1" and so on.
For that purpose, I am using the following code:
[Code] ......
The label displays Unit nº1 when starting (which is right). However when I click the OK button it still displays "unit nº1" and then it starts counting normally.
The thing is that it should display "unit nº2" from the 1st "OK" click.
I have a command button in my excel sheet, if I or my team person clicks on it, the same file has to go to my manager's mail ID from my or my team person's (who clicks) outlook.
Need a method for launching the color palette from a Button Click event so that the palette opens, the palette may be used to set a color, then have the color palette return the Long INT color value to the calling click event routine?
How can I have userform 3 when clicked fill in a textbox on userform2 and then finally assign it to cell F3 on my worksheet.
VB: Private Sub CommandButton2_Click()End Sub
So I need commandbutton2 (which needs to retain a value of 1` when clicked ) on Userform3 to assign the value of 1 to TextBox44 (Which is using control Source F3 so the value here ends up in F3
VB: Private Sub TextBox44_Change() If TextBox44 > 5 Then MsgBox "Your entry must be part between 1 and 5", vbCritical Exit Sub End If End Sub
i want the user to be able to change the cell color on the click of a command button. the worksheet is protected. when the user click the command button the active cell changes to red and offsets by 1. then the work sheet is locked again.
The two problems I am having is 1. I want the range to begin from row 10, column k to column FD. all cells down
the second problem is the current code allows me to edit locked cell columns A to J ...
I've implanted data validation into some cells and I need to be able to catch any modifications to these cells. If the user change the value from A to B, I would like to trap this event using VBA. I've tried to record a macro, change the value of the cell using the data validation but unfortunately, it didn't generate any code at all.
I got a problem though with specificying a 2d array. I basically want to click the "command button" and display one collum with names and the one next to it with results. The only problem is trying to get vba to display this on the work sheet.
Running into this issue of "transworksheet macros"
I have a master "update" commandbutton on sheet 1. I have two sub "update" buttons on sheet 2 and 3 respectively.
What I would like to do is have the user click the master button, that would "click" the two sub buttons so they run their respective macros on their respective worksheets (within the same worksheet.
I have tried pasting the macro code in the master button, telling it to select the sub worksheet and then run the macro, but the marco runs itself on the master worksheet instead.
Is it possible that when you press a command button, that the first thing it does is to execute the code assigned to another command button (IE in another sub).
How can I return name of a command button on click? I want to create some sort buttons on a sheet I will use regularly to speed things up. I thought if I could call each sort button by the column letter the button sits in I can use this in a single sub for all buttons
e.g the button sitting in column A is called "A". when i click the button, it returns it's name to a variable which I can then use to sort column A. I know I could create a seperate routine for each button but I was just trying to think of something neater.
i want to create a save button in sheet 1, on clicking the same the data entered in the particluar cells of sheet 1 should get saved in sheet 2 in given format
This is probably really straight forward but cant see why it happens, the following macro works fine when called by a button created by the form toolbar but doesnt when called by a command button, get the runtime error 1004, "select method of range class failed"
I have a simple spreadsheet. A value is inserted in cell B4.
I want to increase that value or decrease it by adding a button in the next cells, C4 or D4, to increase and decrease that value instead of manually typing in the new value.
I am trying to write some questions on cells of Sheet1 of a workbook. Then I want to write the answers on cells of Sheet2 of the same workbook. I want the user to be able to double click the question-cell on Sheet1 and be taken to the respective answer on Sheet2.
I am creating a spreadsheet that has various form controls, etc... in it and I wanted to create a "help" macro. I have a small Question Mark icon and I want the user to be able to click the icon and have little text boxes appear on the excel sheet with instructions.
I was wondering instead of making a toggle event where the user clicks once to turn on and again to turn off, if there was a way that the user could click and hold on the icon to make my text boxes visible....and when the user releases they disappear.
I have read several articles saying using a command button as a toggle button can't be done but some articles have said it is possible using the state properties.
.State = msobuttondown .State = msobuttonup
Is there any way to combine this with the onaction property so that when you press the button, it stays down and activates a macro then when you press it again it pops back up and activates another macro.
