Conditional Format Not Working

I have a conditional format that I wanted to add another argument to, but although the statement is true, conditional format will not toggle.
My original argument was:
I have a Sheet ( Named "Summary" for Example ) of about 4,000 Rows that has a LOT of Conditional Formatting.
I Added Another 100 Rows this Morning and when I Tried Saving it a Message Saying that Not All the Formatting for the New Data that had Been Added had Been Saved. Is there a Macro or Something I can Run that will Make the Conditionally Formatted Cells Stay the Colour that they are but Delete the Conditional Formatting Part of it Achieved Using "Format" & "Conditional Format" from the Menu Please.
Ideally I would like to be Able to Enter the Number of Rows ( From Row ? to Row ? ) that I want this to Apply to.
I have five fields that have a conditional format applied to them: (see attached).
Columns J, K, L, N and O. These conditionals highlight if a minimum number is entered. Ex. Minimum pushups for a 30 y/o male is 27, if a 26 is entered it highlights red. The total score (where I need this to perform) is calculated in column Q. It will format red if the total score is below 75 but what I can't figure out is how to make it format if any of the previous minimums have not been met.
Ex. In cell L4, his crunches were 25 (a automatic failure -- red formatting). Now the total score is above 75 so it calculates as passing (green), but I need it to highlight red regardless because of the minimum not met in cell L4.
I have a range which has conditional formats based on other cells. I want to copy this range into another sheet and retain the current formats as fixed formats without copying the conditional formulae. ideally in VBA.
View 5 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to change the format of cell AI3 based on the format of cell C3 and D3? I have C3 and D3 set to turn red based on what is in cell C2 and D2. I would like the following done:
If AI3=C3 & C3 is red, format AI3 blue
If AI3=D3 & D3 is red, format AI3 blue
Otherwise, leave AI3 unformatted.
Possible???
I have a spreadsheet that i am tracking some Training dates on. i have the requirements written in the box categorgy on the attachement if anyone wants to see it. Ok so so far in the B colum (contains date of a computer based training (CBT))i have this conditional formatting: Formats for Red background
View 2 Replies View RelatedIf a1=today and b1=null then colour of cell should be green, or If a1=today and b1between today and +7days then colour of cell should be yellow
If a1=today and b1 between today and +14 days then colour of cell should be green
I am trying to do this in conditional formatting, but it doesnt work. As when we try copy to all cells the ref is still for B1 so it wont work on a spreadhseet with many data rows.
How well does Excel / VBA deal with data in a binary format? I am working on a Base64 decoder, which in basic terms means I will have 4 numbers, which I need to convert into their binary representations (6 bits each). I then need to combine these binary groups together, and then divide them up differently to give me 3 numbers (made of 8 bits each).I'm just wondering if anyone has any examples on how best to work with binary in Excel? Also if there are an gems of builtin library functions?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have set up a basic sheet for a colleague, whereby the Team Leader can enter client names into a control sheet, and then the team can add the client names into the allocations sheet when they take on the care for that client, and Conditional Formatting colour codes the cells to show which program a client comes under.
My problem is, the conditional formatting works perfectly on my computer, and another colleague's computer, but for two other colleagues, only half of the colour coding works... leaving half of the clients cells white, indicating they are not allocated to a program.
I have checked that we are all using the same network pathway, macro security settings etc.
I have a spreadsheet that has values in the end column that read Addition, Deletion or No Change. I am trying to get the row cells in Column A to shade red, green or yellow depending on the value of the cells in Column I. I have tried the folllowing:
="IF(I4=No Change)"
I chose the fill to be green for this but when I click OK nothing happens but I do not get any error messages.
I have the macro below that I want to use to conditionally delete all columns where the first row of each column does NOT have the following values but it seems to be deleting most of these columns as well all the others.

Sub Deletecolums_Conditional()
Application.ScreenUpdating = False

I need to run a loop through a column of values (attachment col B) and when it finds a "J" it will apply conditional formatting to a row of 4 cells directly adjacent. The attachment is a theoretical before & after.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI've been working on a particular spreadsheet and I've just noticed that
double clicking the format painter will only format one cell. It won't
retain the format to be put into the next selected cell which it should when
its double clicked. The same goes for copy and paste. Normally once you've
copied something you can paste it into a number of cells individually, one
after the other, but after the first paste selection, the paste option is no
longer available. I can't see any settings under options to fix this. What has happened, and how do I fix it? (I'm using Excel 2003 SP1 - is there a SP2?)
I am trying to do a conditional formatting for the number of working days. What I am trying to do is:
Example:
As in the row D7 I give the actual workdays required to finish the task the Gantt Chart gets a specific formatting on the right appears for the number of working days.
Problem:
I want to avoid the formatting if there are any weekend (Saturday or sunday)
Suppose I give number of working days as 20 then there would be 6 weekend days so it shall add to the overall actual working days but again sinnce we are adding 6 additional days one more weekend day would come in between so the formatting shall take care of this.
I have a spreadsheet which uses conditional formatting to highlight cells with certain values. It's works perfectly, except for a single cell. The formatting formula is and should be exactly the same as other cells in the sheet. For whatever reason, this cell will not change with the formatting rules. The cell is not protected, it doesn't have any oddball values or anything that I can see.

If incomplete date is there, then hyphen should place the gap i.e.
For date like APR-2014------> Output should be 2014/04/--
For date like 1998 -----> Output should be 1998/--/--
The below macro works only for row number 11, 15 and 16.

I have a conditional formula that highlights dates red when it meets a certain criteria. The file named MS Working, the conditional formatting formula (formula below) works as it should with no issues. The other file MS NOT Working, the conditional formatting formula (formula below) has stopped working as it should. What I did? I inserted a new column to the left. Where the MS Working file has only 1 column to the far left, the MS NOT Working file now has 2 columns to the far left.
It seems as if the formula adjusted itself when I inserted the new column; however, its not working.
MS Working
Conditional Formula: =AND(TODAY()>B3,NOT(ISODD(COLUMN())),B3<>"",OR(C3="",C3=0),B3<>0)
MS NOT Working
Conditional Formula: =AND(TODAY()>C3,NOT(ISODD(COLUMN())),C3<>"",OR(D3="",D3=0),C3<>0)
When I copy or cut, I usually get a dashed border around the cells I have copied (or cut), I can then right-click somewhere to paste, but at some point in time recently this functionality has stopped working. The format painter doesn't work either - the paintbrush icon stays pressed for about half a second, then just goes away and I can't paste my formatting.
An operation I often do in excel is to copy a date from one cell, then highlight a few cells elsewhere and press enter to paste the date into them. I also like to right click on a row and Cut, then past it further down my list to re-order things, but this won't work either.
I don't know what I've done to make it go away. If I restart my computer and open a workbook, then I can copy/paste at least once (maybe a few times) then it stops again.
This is caused by a Skype 'click to call' function, but I don't have that installed here. I have actually just tried installing it, so I could run through the uninstall (thinking there might be debris from something previously), but it made no difference.
I have created a spreadsheet that will show me where people are working on what day, etc. however i want to be able to filter by week to create a list of say 2 particuar shifts - in this case "syl ld" and syl n so that the spreadheet would show the people who are working these shifts and I could print out. I have tried Multiple Filters and Advanced search but cannot achieve what I require

On one of our computers at work, Excel is acting especially strange. The conditional formatting in Excel on one of our computers is not working. In addition, we cannot fill a cell with any color or change the color of the writing. We can click a color for the letters and type it in, but immediately after another cell is highlighted, the writing goes black again. When we try to highlight multiple cells with the cursor, the cells are black instead of the normal color. This happens to not just spreadsheets that are new, but existing spreadsheets on our shared drive from only this one computer as well. No other computers are affected this way. All other computers show the spreadsheets fine and do not have any functionality issues.
I am trying to apply icon conditional formatting in a cell. The cell contains the following formula: =VLOOKUP(D20,'owssvr(1)'!O:W,9,FALSE The formula results in a "2", "1", "0" or "-1" in the cell. The icon conditional formatting is not working at all (no icon appears). I have the conditional formatting setup as numbers Green 2, Yellow 1,0 etc based on value. If I delete the formula and just type in any of those numbers directly, it works. I have changed my cells to "number" and it still does not work.

I have a tab called SAP DUMP where we copy our raw data to, from here we manually copy and paste into another sheet called ORDER TRACKING SHEET. When we do a fresh dump (overwrite) of raw data into the SAP DUMP tap we need to see if the there is a new entry which needs to be copied across to the ORDER TRACKING SHEET. I've got a vlookup to show this. The one I can't work out is that on the ORDER TRACKING SHEET I also need to see if there are any entries are now no longer on the SAP DUMP tab. This is where I thought a condition format might work, color the line red if it's no longer on the SAP DUMP tap. Can't make it work.....
I have a workbook with 12 worksheets corresponding to months. Each is formatted in A1 with the month (Date, Jan-01) and all rows below, starting at A5, are the days of the month (Custom, ddd d). All cells are linked so they change accordingly with A1.
I'm trying to apply conditional formatting so that all Fridays will have light grey shading across the row. I can get it to shade every 7th row using the MOD & ROW functions, but the shaded row changes with subsequent months and years (not necessarily Fridays). Can I get it to recognize every Friday through the year.

Disregard the First Table. I cant remove it. refer to the Second Table
This table is a Task Tracker. The Start Button Adds the Current Date in Enercon's Row C1 and the row below (C2) will automaticaly filled with color using Conditional Formating. My Question is how can I code a conditional format for Trail1 Rows. For example when Trail1 Cell is active then you click the start Button instead of Coloring D2 Cell it should Color D3 Cell.
Here is the Code in Start Button
Sub cmdStart_Click()
Dim i As Integer
Results = MsgBox("Are you working on " & ActiveCell.Value & " today ?", vbOKCancel, "")
If Results = vbOK Then
With Sheets("Sheet1")
i = .Cells(2, Columns.Count).End(xlToLeft).Column + 1
.Cells(2, i).Value = Now()
i = i + 1
End With
Else
Range("A1").Select
End If
End Sub

I would like to conditionally format a column of cells such that it formats when a cell's text equals to that in another column.
Example, in column A I have
1 Cat
2 Dog
3 Mouse
...
In B I have
1 Chicken
2 Mouse
3 Monkey
...
58 Cat
Based on the B column I would like to highlight A3 Mouse and A1 Cat.
Additional complexity, In B I have
1 Chicken Mouse Dog
2 Rat Monkey Fish
3 ...
Given that this is the format I have the text in how would I search column A and conditionally format A2 and A3.
I am having trouble with a conditional format of a date. I need it to turn the date red if it is 35 days older than today.
