Copy Sheets From Another Workbook Without Named Ranges

I have VBA code that copies over several sheets from a workbook, but I'd rather not have all the named ranges come through. Whenever I run the macro it gives me this notice: "A formula or sheet you want to move or copy contains the name 'rngRegion2', which already exists on the destination worksheet..." The destination sheet doesn't originally have this range already, it runs into problems because the sheets I'm copying have rngRegion2 defined on different sheets. I'd like to try and avoid this problem all together by not copying named ranges if possible.
If thats not a viable option, is there code that I can use to tell it to automatically select "Yes - To use the name as defined in the destination sheet" as opposed to prompting the user to select yes/no?

This should be a fairly simple question, I've already got the code for copying sorted, I'm just curious about several of the named ranges within the sheet and what happens to them when I copy it all over.
I'm working from a spreadsheet made by my predecessor and they've got a template sheet with numerous named rages all scoped to the workbook, on the new template I've created, it has lots of ranges scoped to the sheet itself. The new template works just fine as it is but I just want to try and make sure that when I change over the templates it will continue to work fine and the current template's named ranges are going, so far I have actually copied everything and are running tests, but you can't test for everything, so if the named ranges on the new template being only scoped to the sheet will affect it at all?

I have got a named range, which gives me a list of all the students. I would like to put that data returned in named range in excell workbook.
For example:
named range called "Students" is getting populated from A1:A10 with values:
Student1
Student2
Student3
Student4
Student5
Student6
Student7
Student8
Student9
Student10
I would like to put this data in other worksheet.
and instead of putting all the students, it just puts only
Student7
Student8
Student9
Student10
I entered in named range name ("students") in all cells I wanted to put data in.

I would like to know if their is a way to export about 100 Named Ranges from 1 workbook to another. I work with about 20 pricing templates and have just been tasked to start tracking about 100 of the fields out of each template. I named about 100 ranges on one of the templates and want to name those same fields on the other templates with the same names so I can build a macro to just pull all of those ranges from the different templates into a metric tracking workbook. My question is if there is a way to name those same ranges on the other workbooks w/o doing it manually. If I copy and paste or copy the worksheets from one book to another I will spend just as much time deleting links from the other workbook as well as updating the contract information.
All of the Ranges are Sheets that are named exactly the same and in the same exact cells on each sheet.

I have tried using PULL from Harlan Grove's posts to workaround this but am coming up with #VALUE errors.
Here's what I have:
Column B contains the acct # being referenced e.g. 5230
Column E="_"&Br where r is the row #
Column F=MATCH($B$3,INDIRECT(Er&"Rows")) where _acct#Rows is a named
range referring to an external workbook e.g. _5230Rows
Columns G-R=INDEX(INDIRECT($Er),$Fr,COLUMN(G$6)) where_acct# is a named
range referencing an external workbook e.g. _5230
I thought that INDEX($Er, $Fr, COLUMN(G$6)) should work in Columns G-R however it returns #REF!
I need a solution to replace INDIRECT so I do not have to have both workbooks open together. The named ranges are static, but reference external workbooks.

I have the following
wkbDataFile.Worksheets("Admin"). Range("January_Data").Copy Destination:=wb.Worksheets("Admin").Range("January_Data")
In some cases the range "January_Data" won't exist and the macro breaks. Is there a check I can have the macro run through first to ensure the range exists in wkbDataFile.Worksheets("Admin") before going through with the .Copy?

If I copy worksheet in Excel, the named ranges are copied too. If I copy in VBA, they are not. Is the only solution to loop thru the named ranges or is there something smarter like some "fullcopy"?

I will try to keep a version control of a template I develop on an ongoing basis. The version number I will try and use to provide an easy way to upgrade any file based on an older version of the template by simply copying values that reside in cells that I see on a list of named ranges into a file that is a copy of the new template.
1: I will use the version control suggested by Tom Ogilvy in http://www.excelforum.com/showthread.php?t=479156
And keep the version number in a property named "Version".
2: I have a hidden sheet named "config" in which i have a list of cells holding the names of all the ranges that must be copied. The list of named ranges is right below a cell named "Config_values_to_copy", so
range("Config_values_to_copy").offset(1,0).value holds the name of a range (e.g. "Priority_Column") in which case there is a column off values there, that must be copied to a blank instance of a new template and placed in the same named range.
3: I will keep the newest version of the xls-file (template) - not as a xlt file, just xls for now somewhere - on the LAN in a specific folder and always have the name of the latest version being: "Risc and issue documentation Template, latest version.xls" (If possible I will manually include the version number into the file name instead, and make sure that there is only one file in the particular folder.) For this help let's just say that the folder is local "C:latest-version-template" I think that this can somehow be done based in parts on the answer Ron de Bruin gives to this topic http://www.excelforum.com/showthread.php?t=564858 - but I am not sure that it is all there...
4: When a user opens a workbook based on the template a control button named something like "check for new template version" should be accessible - alternatively I will hide the code and do this when the user opens the file.
5: Now here goes: The code must somehow check current version from step (1) against the version found in the folder with the latest-greatest version of this template. If the template available in that folder is newer than the template that this current file is based upon, then prompt the user if he wants to upgrade. If YES then I must somehow iterate throught the named ranges and copy all the values onto a copy of the new template and afterwards save this intelligently on the users harddrive.
I imagine using this kind of iteration to go through the named ranges - this code is altered a bit from elsewhere in the file:

I looking for a macro to look in a list in worksheet "Map_Ref", and take the Range Name of column "A" and copy that range in the corresponding Tab and range as specified in Columns "C" and "D" (i,e. take range name "BB Staff Counts_Tenured" from cell "A2" and copy that range in worksheet "Sheet2" (as specified in cell C2), range "A2" (as specified in cell D2). And so on.

Been playing with this for some time and can't quite figure it out. I'm trying to copy a named range and paste special value to another named range of the same size. I recorded a Macro that does what I need, and I'll use if necessary, but thought I'd try to consolidate the code a bit and can't get it to work. The recorded macro is as follows:

Again, I can use the longer version with no problem, but in the interest of learning and since I have spent some time not being able to come up with the solution, I thought I'd ask the experts opinions before I gave up on it.

I have written this macro to convert into a csv file to run for all defined named ranges in the activesheet. It run jst perfect when I hit SAVE button and it creates that many different CSV files for each named range.
However I am trying to use same macro in the another file and the problem I am facing is there a lot more named ranges and I want to run the macro for only selected NAMED RANGE. In this case 2 Named Range / 24 Named range.
What part of code do I need to change and to what to make it work for just 2 named ranges ?

I am trying to use a macro to move a range of excel tabs to the front of the workbook however some of the tabs could be missing due to no information.
If I simply record the macro by moving them manually if the procedure arrives at one that is missing it would report an error.
So in essence I need it to look for the tab and if its there move and if its not move onto the next until it arrives at the last one.

In my project I have two workbooks. I am working on getting one to pull data from another depending on which employee is selected from a drop down list.
TestLOG.xls contains a worksheet for each employee, with named sections within for various training the employee has, and down each row has information on the date this was received, initial, recurrent, etc. It is only this single worksheet for each employee that any data entry occurs, which makes things a lot more organized and efficient.
TestFORMS.xls is the workbook accessed by the records department which has different worksheets depending on what data is to be presented. When an employees name is selected, I need the form to pull the specific data from another workbook, and post it on the current worksheet. This get repeated a couple times to fill the adjacent columns of data. I can't just select the whole table from the other workbook because in this current worksheet for example, only specific columns are pulled from the other workbook.
To better explain the flow...
Current workbook is TestFORMS.xls
Current sheet is Test
Closed workbook is TestLOG.xls
In TestFORMS, sheet Test, when named cell Employee is selected with a value...
Then open TestLOG in the background and open sheet of same name as Employee, and cope range ACtype.
Back in TestFORMS, sheet Test, paste the ACtype data in the range named Type.

My current hangup is that I get an error at Range("ACtype") as that is not the proper way to call the range.
There's more work to be done with the macro yet, like having it pull the data with TestLOG closed, which I believe is done by listing the path to filename.
Then I need to maintain cell formatting on the new table when the data is posted to it.
Hopefully the final task is to get this working so that when a new employee is selected in TestFORMS, the previous employees data is cut and the new posted, as the worksheet is just printed out for each employee and put on hardfile.

Now what I am looking to do is search my spreadsheet for specific criteria and then copy and paste these rows of information to a new sheet.
In my first spreadsheet that I am using as a database, I want to be able to select any entry from the month and copy it to another spreadsheet named for that criteria.
In other words, I want to find every entry for January, copy just that data's rows and paste them to the January spreadsheet, February to February, etc. My date fields are in column A.
I also want to do the same with representatives names found in column B.
This will break down the data for each rep and each month. Using the filter, then copy and pasting would be cumbersome.

I have a named range within a sheet. It was pulled across when i performed a move/copy - create copy from another workbook. The name contains characters that cannot be displayed or recognised and so they are displayed as square
symbols. This causes me an issue as i cannot delete the name. Even if i paste the list names, i cannot copy/paste the name as the characters are not recognised. I also tried using a macro to delete all names, which did delete all names, with the exception of this one.
The VB code used was :

Merge two columns into one list in excel
I would like to combine List1 and List2 into a 3rd named range called List3. I was wondering if this were possible without using any additional cells/columns (i.e. I don't want to use Column C like in the example shown in the link above).
Here's the formula from the example:

I have attached the xls. I have an input sheet with 3 columns to enter data. Each column is linked to a separate worksheet with a formula (Carrys 1000 rows long). I need to be able to pull the populated data from those 3 worksheets and paste into 1 column continuously on another worksheet so all data is on top of another without any spaces.
I made an if statement so that if there isn't data pulling from the input sheet the a blank cell is left to indicate the last row to copy data from and paste on the final sheet.

I am looking for a code that would copy the data from each worksheet in a given workbook and then paste to just one worksheet within a different workbook. The Sheet names are auto generated when I run this canned report but the naming structure is always the same...the first worksheet is named Repair Details and then the next sheet is named Repair Details_1, the next sheet is named Repair Details_2 and so on for every sheet in workbook. So I would like to copy all of the data(Headers to last cell) and then paste in a worksheet(ex: Master Repair Report.xlsx and the worksheet could be titled Master Repair Details) on a different workbook, then the next sheet would copy from the one under the header to the last record and paste to the same workbook. This process would repeat for every worksheet in the Repair Details Workbook and paste to Master Repair Details worksheet in the Master Repair Report workbook.

I have two spreadsheets in different workbooks ( workbook 1: sheet 1 and workbook2: sheet1), here i need to compare column 5 in Book1 and Column 5 for all cells, say X is the value we are looking for..
X occurs once in book1 and might occur more than once in book2..so if a match occurs ( that is once the code checks that there is X occuring in both books in columns 5) it should copy all rows in book 2 where X occurs to a new workbook 3 in sheet 1 and also it shoud copy entire row data where X occurs in book 1 sheet 1 . But this data from book 1 has to be copied at the end of row after the data from book 2 has been copied.
if X occurs 4 times in book 2 , then 4 rows have to be copied in book 3 and then data from Book 1 where X occurs only once is copied 4 times at the end of the data from book 2.
this process has to repeated for all cells in columns 5 in book1 and column 5 in book2 .

I have a number of files in a directory, with data in columns A:E, and variable rows deep (200-300) that I’d like to copy to the active workbook. I’d like to have a file window open to the same set directory (ie. “CArchives” and be able to select any file in that directory to copy.
Note:
There are 2 separate ranges to copy, which must be done separately because the headings are to be moved 2 columns over - also, there is data in beteen the headings and main data in the active workbook.
Range 1: Two headings cells in A1:B1 get transposed to C1:D1.
Range 2: the files’ data starts at A4 but gets inserted starting at cell A6 of the active workbook.

I'm using some workbook-scoped named formulas to define some dynamic ranges which will be referred to by numerous worksheets. The named ranges are defined like:
NAME: gTable_costDetailsEquipment
REFERS TO: =globalParameters!$B$5:INDEX(globalParameters!$B$5:$C$1048576,1+countAdjacentNonBlank
(globalParameters!$B$5,"down"),1+countAdjacentNonBlank(globalParameters!$B$5,"right"))
From either of the tabs "Reports" or "DOR_Template" the user can press the large "+" icon to add a report (which copies the template or the last report to a new sheet).
When this Sheet copy takes place, excel is repeating my named formulas - this time it's making LOCAL versions scoped to the newly made worksheet.
I've used this copy sheet trick before and have never had excel create new, locally scoped, named formula for each workbook level name.
I also just recently started using excel 2013, is this a problem with the new version? I've just never seen this problem, usually workbook-level names are NOT duplicated on sheet copy.

I am successfully opening a .csv file using a variable value stored in a named range in my Main file (the variable includes the directory and path).
I copy data from the .csv file to the Main file then I need to close the .csv file without saving but I want to do that by using the
Windows("xxxx").Activate
command where "xxxx" is the namedrange in my Main file which stores the .csv filename (without the directory and path prefix).
I can use the
ActiveWindow.ActivatePrevious
command but if I have another workbook open, this one closes instead of the .csv file I opened from the macro.
I realise this is probably very basic and I've searched the forums but can't find any identical postings.

I have a master sheet and 102 'advisor named sheets'. The master sheet is updated daily with information (number and text) along 1 row in different columns (A:W). I would like when the advisors name is typed (W) =joebloggs! for this whole row to be auto input on joebloggs sheet. There can be multiple of these entered daily for same person, so the information would need to populate on the next row so not to type over the previous entry.

When I copy data from a source that needs to go into different sheets on a different workbook it works great as long as the destination is sheet 1 or sheet 2. See my code below and I'll explain further.

There is data in a workbook that is on row 45,columns G thru K. This data changes and determines which sheet in another workbook it needs to be copied to. If the destination is sheet 1 or sheet 2 the code above works great,but if sheet 3,sheet 4 or others it fails. The code in all instances is identical with the exception the destination sheet numbers change.

Is there a way to copy all sheets in a workbook ( with macro ) where you do not have the sheet names / variable names.? I am opening a sales workbook from a master workbook and need to copy all sheets to the master however the tab names and sheet numbers are variable and cant seem to find the correct way to do this.
