I want to create a customer ID for thousands of customers and then be able to find the customer by doing a search for the ID later. I'm even thinking of using a customer phone number for the ID. What function can I use to later find the customer?
I’m getting data from query. My data has fields: Item No, Customer ID & Sales rep. I need to find out for each Item number which customer put order and who was the sales rep. (Excel 2002). see file attached.
I have the following formula copied down from A3 to A200 in a spreadsheet, which creates a unique standardized customer number for the each names listed in B3 to B200:
I am trying to create a formula that will determine the number of orders for a specific customer whose orders have a pallet count between a certain range. The customer code is a cell reference, as well as the beginning and ending values I am looking for. I have the data on a separate tab from where I am putting the formula.
Here is what I was trying to use, but it was coming up with "0" for everything:
Name.......Purchase date John........01.01.07 Susan......06.08.07 John........07.07.07 John........01.05.07
I'd like to roll up the sames to create one customer row, but so I see the varience between purchase times. ie)
Name.......Ist Pur date....2nd pur date.....3rd pur date....time from pur 1 to 2 John........01.01.07.........01.05.07..........07.07.07........120 days Susan......06.08.07...................................................(not sure to include this)
I've attached a quick sample, I have two customer ID's, AB1 and AB2, I want to be able to put a formula into column C that will return the latest date for each customer. So AB1 will show 01/04/2013 and AB2 will show 01/05/2013. I know I can use a MAX formula but I don't know how to connect it to the specific customer ID.
I have a spreadsheet of our Customers rankings with a column with the date that they sent their Report Cards in. I need to pull by Cust# the most current date. I tried using DMAX but I can not get the formula to work. The sheet is not sorted and can not be sorted by Cust#.
=DMAX(A$6:D$886,"Report dated",G$6:G7)

I'm looking to count the number of customer accounts in a report based on the branch number. I generally need to know, how many accounts has been opened per each branch without double counting the same account number (as it happens that the report may have duplicate number.
finally I need to know the sub total showing the total per branch and subtotal of all branches together.
I have 2 spreadsheets. One is a promotion calendar that lists the dates that promotions on a certain product runs. The other is a shipment grid of shipments of that product to the customer.
I want VLookup to find the customer and the dates and then bring me back an asterisk in a separate column to show me that that certain week that product was delivered was a promotion week. The problem I have is using Vlookup to lookup 2 things at once (and if they match to the promotion calendar) and return me an asterisk.
I am trying to do a vlookup to 1 sheet based on customer number and return price. If no customer number than I want to do a vlookup based on dunnage number to return the price. This is what I have for a formula but it never returns a value if one is found in the first lookup.
I have this macro below and would like the code changed to find the "Customer Number" column by name rather than by column B. Note that the "Customer Number" column will always be somewhere in row 1.
I have 1) a list of 10,000 customer records with customer numbers (including duplicates) in field A, and 2) a separate list of 25 customer numbers that are "red" accounts.
I want to add a new ID field to the larger customer list, and using the 25 red IDs, I want to mark any of the 10K records that match the list of 25 with an "x".
I thought about using multiple nested-function formulas and concatenating the results, but then, I always do things the hard way! ...
In sheet1, (B2 & C2) are the numbers entered by the user. After they entered, it will create rows of table according to the number of groups they entered on the respective sheets.
I have a large amount of data and I'm trying to count how many unique values I have in one column. I also want to know how many times each duplicate appears. I tried using a pivot table but it's not working for me.
I also tried the following formula: =SUM(IF(FREQUENCY(H:H,H:H)>0,1)) but it's not quite working.
Items in Column A1 are calculated by (B2/4+5)*1.4 Items located under the columns 2000, 3000, 4000, etc... 10,000 are calculated by taking the top number, eg 2000/(A1 cell value)+the column B number. 2000/7+0 = 286 (rounded numbers)
I need to find an way to look up for x number (2000,3000,4000, etc...) find the smallest number in that column and then return the value in column A1.
Cell A1 Number >2000300040005000600070008000900010000 70 2864295717148571000114312861429 84 24236148059971883795610751194
I have attached an example. If I have a set of numbers such as the one attached, is it possible to create a formula that will show me all the combinations of numbers that add up to 55.52? In the attached I have highlighted in different colours all the number combinations that add up to 55.52. The numbers highlighted in blue appear within more then one combination. Is there a formula that can do this for me, instead of randomly adding numbers hoping they add up to 55.52.

I need a VBA code to find the nearest biggest number and nearest lowest number between the data of D2 to H2. In the attached file, I have mentioned my required output (Column A and B - blue highlighted)
to update these values via a form in this sheet. I can find the correct row to be edited by entering a value from column A and B. The problem is if I want display the values of that row first and then change it. If I want to change row 10 data how can I bring back the value in ROW 3 AND THE COLUMN VALUE? The next step would be to do the actual update if I want to change ROW 10 to "Ooi" and a sales value of 200?
This is what I have done so far:
Dim myRows As Integer
With Sheets("Mrt")
'Retrieve history information for row For myRows = 4 To 49 If comboxDay.Text = Range("A" & myRows).Value And textboxdescription.Text = Range("B" & myRows).Value Then textboxbedrag.Text = Range("C" & myRows).Value chkBTW_Ja.Value = Range("D" & myRows).Value txtNota.Text = Range("S" & myRows).Value End If Next End With
I need a macro that will search a value in column D (sheet2) that is noted in cell C7 on sheet3. After that it must copy enitre entire row where searched value was found to sheet3, last empty row.
an example:
entered value in cell C7 on sheet 3 is ABC
on Sheet2 column D, value ABC was found in cell 150 (D150) so it has to copy for 150 to sheet3, last empy row.
I get a ledger dump every month with 20,000 lines of all transactions. There are 1,200 ledger codes, ten departments, and thirty activities. Each of the 20,000 lines has columns with the ledger code, a department, an activity, and other data. There are tens of thousands of possible combinations of ledger code, department and activity.
I have most of the ones which are commonly used every month, and I use them to create a =sumif summary which totals all the same concatenations of ledger code&department&activity. However, every now and again a new permutation arrives and I need to find it and then create the new concatenation for the =sumif to use in the summary. Is there any way to do this by running a routine which will locate the new combination and create the concatenation in the =sumif summary?
i'm working on an excel file that consists of 31 sheets one for each day of the week, the information about how much we make each day is inputted on the end of each day, i've consolidated all the sheets into 1 big sheet and now i want to create charts over the production, so what i would like is a code that searches the huge sheet for Machine name (Found in Column A and Column I) then walk 5 cells to the right and find the number of litre's made by that machine on that shift.
The different shifts are
Formiddagsskift - Morningshift
Ettermiddagskift - Eveningshift
Nattskift - Nightshift
I will include an example of the data. The data should be pasted to the "Formler" spreadsheet. It doesn't matter if you don't wanna do this i can simply do it later i just need the code to search, and go 5 cells to the right and remember which cell it is, and make sure it is in the right "Shift" ie, all the 282 machines for morningshift are summed in c7 and c10 has eveningshift and c13 has nightshift.
Quite time consuming to search through 31 days of production to find the correct machines on the correct shifts. And the data changes for each month so this would be a great asset to me.
I would like to create an excel program with Macros. The program would allow me to find out which distribution a random bunch of data belongs to. For an example, Weibull Distribution, Exponential Distributions etc;
I need the code to create a find box into which a search string is input. The code should find the string at a particular cell, then copies this cell and four cells to the right to a location in sheet 2 of the same workbook
The code runs but comes back with a runtime 424 error. I believe the issue is being caused by "nextCell" but I cant see why.
Sub FindStrings() Dim firstCell, nextCell, stringToFind As String ' Show an input box and return the entry to a variable. stringToFind = _ Application.InputBox("Enter J Number and Stage Number. For Example J1234 ST1", "Search String") ' Set an object variable to evaluate the Find command.
