Date
Clicks
Impressions
Click Through Rate
01/06/2012

3.23
02/06/2012

The chart plots the number of impressions and the Click through rate (on a secondary axis) against the date.
I think I need to use the offset property but am not totally sure how to do this
I am trying to measure how long it takes to locate a file the user wants to open. Eg., from when they click File|Open to when they click the "Open" button in the Open dialog box (after they have navigated through the directories to find their file).
I have approached this by using a class module and withEvents. This uses the Click event to trap when they have hit the File|Open button from the File menu and timestamp it.
class module: EventFileOpen
Public WithEvents cbOpen As CommandBarButton
Private Sub cbOpen_Click(ByVal Ctrl As Office.CommandBarButton, CancelDefault As Boolean)
MsgBox "File open started at: " & Now()
End Sub
Private Sub Class_Initialize()
Set cbOpen = Application. CommandBars.FindControl(ID:=23)
End Sub
Private Sub Class_Terminate()
Set cbOpen = Nothing
End Sub..........
I want this filecopy to:
1. create a new folder in a subfolder called "/certificates".
2. name that folder the current date. ie. "/certificates/23.11.11".
3. copy the file into that folder.
4. If it's a duplicate then rename the file " - 2" or what ever the next number is.
Code:
Private Sub CommandButton2_Click()
Application.ScreenUpdating = False
Application.DisplayAlerts = False

I found some vba codes in this forum which record the date and time in column A when a file is opened.
Can the codes be modified such that when someone opens the file the second time on the same day, the date and time are recorded in column B?
Attached file for your reference.
I m Trying to add some features to it and run into an issue. Here are the fields we are working with!
A1= 13:30:00 17/12/2008
(in other words 1:30pm on date given) - Need to know proper cell number format!!
B1= 23:00:00
(this represents 23 hours) - format for cell is [h]:mm:ss
C1= Unknown function
(This field is my problem!!)
Answer here SHOULD be "14:30:00 16/12/2008"
I need a function for C1 (using A1 and B1) that will give me the time and date 23 hours earlier or however many hours:mins:secs is specified in B1! Also need to know what number format to use for both A1 and C1
I am currently working on a VBA function that searches a spreadsheet for a particular time and date. In the time and date column, there exists a cell for every hour of the year from January 1st 12am to December 31st 11:00pm. So for any given date, there are 24 entires with the same date, but each with a different time (that is the intervals are in one hour increments.)
What I have been attempting to put together is a simple worksheet. Find method to search for a date, I.E. 1/22/2006 3:00:00 AM. I have read countless posts and websites saying that you must format the date and time into a window date format such as 1/22/2006, but you lose that time constraint. Well if I search for that in my spreadsheet, i have 24 cells that meet that criteria. Anywhere from 12AM to 11PM. But I may want the one for 11PM... Also, since find searches from top to bottom, I always retrieve 12AM since its the first hour of the day. I apologize for my wordiness, but It is kind of a complicated matter.
How can display the last modified date and time of my excel file in a particular cell - Say in cell E1.
This is the same value that we get when we Right Click excel file->Properties->General and look at the label "Modified".
I need to write a macro that will find the most recent date of file. For instance, I may have the following:
A B C
BIBLIO.MDB367411204/30/1998 22:27:36 CDT
BIBLIO.MDB361062407/25/1996 01:00:00 CDT
BIBLIO.MDB361062404/24/1998 01:00:00 CDT
Where Biblio is the filename, then the size of the file and the dates. I want to do this for a very long list and get only the most recent date used and delete the others.
I have a list of several thousand files and I want the macro to be able to go all the way down the list.
I am using Excel 2007.
I just installed Office 2013 Pro. In my Office 2010 Additional Controls toolbox, the control toolbox has a Date and Time Picker(DTPicker1) . I cannot find it in the Additional Controls toolbox in Excel 2013. I certainly hope they did not choose to not make it available in Excel 2013 - this is an extremely important control for my Excel spreadsheets as it allows inputting a date range on a userform with DTPicker1 and DTPicker2 and generating reports using VBA in conjunction with Autofiltering code on a Generate Report button.
View 8 Replies View RelatedIn the included workbook I've got a sheet that needs to be updated every time a userform is completed. So I intend to run a macro after the data is entered to find duplicates, and delete the older row.
so, column A must match then column C must match then look in columns AK & AL to find the newest entry to keep. I also need to delete any rows where column A is empty(light Green), no matter what other columns have data.
In my example sheet all the yellow's match for column A but the bright yellow's are the only "keepers", because one has a different number in "C" and the other is the newest.
Also remember that this is just part of a much bigger, multi-sheet book so I will need to I.D. this sheet in the code.
I am pasting a large amount of data from a sql server query into excel. There is multiple tables output in each query. Some of the data is date/time and excel is formatting all of these cells to time. The date/time cells to not neatly line up in any row or column, so I cannot just format any give column or row. I need a macro that will find all of the cells that are formatted as time and change them to a date format.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI work for a chicken hatchery. So, a couple preliminary things by way of explanation:
1. The day we place our eggs in the incubators, we fill in an excel file containing a list of all the farms from which those eggs came. This is called the "Egg List" workbook.
2. After 21 days have passed, and the eggs have turned into chicks, we open that original file. We copy cells from one column of that file (the workbook is called the “Egg List”, we copy “Sheet1” cells B7:B50), and paste them into another Workbook called “Chick List.”
My question is this:
Is there a macro I can put into the “Chick List” workbook that will automatically locate that particular “Egg list” workbook file that is 21 days old, and paste the contents of its cells B7:B50 into cells A7:A50 in my “Chick List” Workbook. It is preferable if this can be done without opening the old “Egg list” file. But if this is not possible, I’ll take whatever I can get.
Here is what I have, which works okay as far as finding the file. I bootlegged this from another part of this helpful website. But I cannot figure out the syntax for getting cells B7:B50 from the Egg list to copy into cells A7:A50 of the Chick List.

i am trying to find the time difference between two cells and present the date in a third cell. The data in the cells are in a non standard date/time and i need to create a special format i think. The cells look like this.
fldcollected fldaccepted Type Time between being received by database and eccepted

I have a large data set which contains four coloumns: Supplier, Supplier number, order number, and date/time of delivery. The date/time coloumn is formatted as YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM with a 24h time notation. What i want to do is to find deliveries that occurs within 1 hour and that are from the same supplier. So i basically want to group (?) the data with regards to the suppliers and then, within these subsets, check for date/time entries that occurs within 1 hour from each others by "reading" each date entry and compare it to the following one(s) (and maybe stop comparing when the 1 hour interval is passed)?
Furthermore, even if this one might be very hard, it would be good if i could make sure that the entries that are "tagged" as within a 1 hour interval, wont be used as basis for a new interval or be included in other intervals.
The result i am after would be number of 1 hour intervals for each supplier and the number of entries in each interval.
Below is an example from the date/time coloumn:
12-03-08 15:32
12-03-08 15:33 ... Interval with 2 entries
12-03-12 14:54
12-03-28 11:57
12-04-16 09:10
12-05-07 13:41
12-05-07 13:46 ... Interval with 2 entries
12-05-28 11:55
12-05-28 12:00
12-06-04 12:01 ... Interval with 2 entries
12-06-04 12:09
12-06-11 08:30
12-06-11 08:31
12-06-11 08:59 ... Interval with 3 entries
12-07-02 11:10
I am attempting to pick up a date with time entry on a worksheet and place it into a TextBox on a UserForm. Format on the sheet is mm/dd/yyyy h:mm AM/PM. The UserForm is placing the value as mm/dd/yyyy 12:00 AM. here is the
Private Sub UserForm_Initialize()
If Not Range("dDate").Value = "" Then
TextBox2.Value = Range("dDate").Value
TextBox2.Text = Format(DateValue(TextBox2.Text), "mm/dd/yy h:mm AM/PM")
Else
TextBox2.Value = ""
TextBox2.SetFocus
End If
End Sub
"dDate" is the named range where the date is sitting. The format is also set on the TextBox2 exit event. Can anyone see why only the date portion is being transfered with the default 12:00 AM for no time component of the value?
I have loaded a .csv file in which the first column contains date/times, e.g. 01/12/2012 00:00. How do I now tell Excel (2010) that this is in fact a date/time format? If I select one or more of the cells, click on the Number dialog box launcher and try to pick a suitable format tghe cells resolutely refuse to budge from being text (i.e. left-justified, still allows me to edit the 'seconds' component to a number > 60). Also which data type should I be using? The only one that appears to have a full date/time format listed is Custom (not Date or Time).

View 9 Replies View RelatedI am trying to create a time stamp that shows elapsed time. So I enter my start time, and if I enter any text in cell B7, return the elapsed time in A7 based off of start time in A6. I have attached an example workbook.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a column of values resulting from subtracting a static date and time from the current date and time.
This means it is constantly updating, which makes it impossible to sort.
All my work depends on sorting those values, though.
I import data from a program that exports dates and times as text. I have been successful using "text to columns" to separate the time from the date and then using =text(A1,"00:00")+0 to get the time to show as serial time but I'd love to be able to do the whole date/time string in one step. In cell A1 there is data that is general format and is in this format:
01/01/13 00001
No matter how you try to format it, it is not a date or time. For this project I need the serial number for the date/time. Any formula that will format it as date/time and then allow it to show as a serial date/time?
I have 04/02/08 12:00:01 AM (mm/dd/yy hh:mm:ss AM/PM) in text format in a cell. I need to convert this to date/time custom format as given above so that I can make comparisons with NOW() output.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a macro enabled file with some functions. Now I want to create a fillable pdf file from this file.
I am able to create a pdf file from Excel 2007, but not able to make a fillable one
I am using Excel 2013. Anyway, the first issue is that I need to pull a date and a time period from text. So, for example, if I see something like Sunday Prime Time 7/6/14 8:37PM, I would want to pull ONLY the "7/6/14 8:37PM" out of it. Each text box could potentially be different, so it might not always be in the same format as "Sunday Prime Time 7/6/14 8:37PM" it might only show just the date and/or the time without all the extra text i.e. 7/6/14 8:37PM. Some of the cells will have text, others might only have just the time or even just the date and the time. The only thing that I am worrying about in each cell is extracting just the date and time. If this is too much to ask of excel, I would be ok with extracting ONLY the time - 8:37PM and not the date, but I would much rather be able to get both the time and date.
THEN, onto part two of my question. After I would pull the dates and times, I need to compare them with each other. So, when I have the same date with two separate times on that date, I need to write a formula to show if those times on that date are less than 30 minutes apart. So, if I have 6 times on 7/6/14, I need to know if any of them are less than 30 minutes apart.
I would need to have the formula say something like "Problem" if the times on 7/6/14 would be 5:30PM, 5:48PM, 7:00PM, 8:00PM, 8:15PM, and 9:00Pm for example. I would like to see the word "Problem" since 5:30PM and 5:48Pm is only 18 minutes apart, and "Problem" after 8:15PM since that is only 15 minutes past the 8:00PM which is obviously under 30 minutes. The times that are more than 30 minutes apart such as 7:00PM and 9:00PM for example are more than 30 minutes apart from any of the other times that were extracted.
VBA coding for automatically saving an excel file as another file using the current date as part of the file name together with "32ga" as a constant add-in. I also what this macro to run at a particular time of the day let say 00:20hrs. The excel file i want to save as is always open . It has data that changes every 24-hrs.
