Creating Bucket List Depending Upon Value

Formula/function to put a set of values into a bucket, depending upon the value.
I've attached a spreadsheet with sample data for your review.
I'm looking to put the Ranking # into one of several Ranking Buckets based on the criteria below:
1-399
400-449
0, 450-499
500-549
550-599
600-649
650-699
700+
I've tried using a LOOKUP function, but I think I'm missing something with it.
=LOOKUP(C2,{1-399,449,499,549,599,649,650,700},{"1-399","400-449","450-499","500-549","550-599","600-649","650-699","700+"})

I am having trouble using formulas in a smart way in excel.Basically, I am trying to calculate percentile for a range. But since my data set is huge, I dont want to select the range in percentile formula manually. my data set includes buckets and would love to be able to search for that field and then calculate percentile on a range. is that possible?

With reference to thr great charts that Andy Pope has made available on his website; specifically the thermometer chart and the dollar spit chart. Is there any way that one can use these methods on something shaped like a bucket or do the shapes have to be "straight line shapes"?
What I was trying to do was to adapt the thermometer method to work on a bucket but I realised that the chart is built on a column chart. Thus a bucket would not work cos the top is wider than the bottom.

i mtrying to get a validation list change depending on what is chosen in another list. I have attached an example, Yellow box is my validation and weather List 1 or List 2 in chosen I want the red box to be a choose of the list attached to those options. I've tried to put an If in there but I’m al a loss.

I'm creating a spreadsheet to keep track of my costs of production in an online game. Within the game there are a range of spawned resources that appear for only a short time before being unobtainable these resources have specific types that is shared between multiple spawns of the resource but each resource spawn has a unique name.
My first worksheet lists all the resources and their various qualities and the later worksheets are meant to allow me to choose from a list resources matching the requirements of the item I'm looking to craft. The example i have shown in the second picture requires Tatooinian Fiberplast and Lokian Wild Wheat to craft so in the Chosen Resource column I would like to have a drop down list allowing me to select the named resource type i would like to use - for Tatooinian Fiberplast the only thing on the list should be Omnitwixi and for the Wild Wheat it should show Fizi and Krad

I would like to be able to compare the "standards" in Column A with the Assessment status in Column B and the Assessment period in Column C in order to generate a compact list in another workbook (ideally) or tab (if not). A list might typically contain all the standards that have been M (mastered) during a given Assessment period. I realize that filters would achieve this to a large extent but I was hoping to automatically populate another worksheet or tab.

I am looking for a Macro that would randomly select 20 items from my inventory list for performing spot checks. Column F of Active Coil Log tab is where the data would need to pull from, however I would like all data in the row to go along with it. I've explored the RAND functions, but they don't seem to be the right fit .

I need to have a drop down list which displays a different set of values depending upon the value selected by a previous drop down list. ie. (drop down box 1)= x, y, z. (drop down box 2)= either x1, x2, x3, or y1, y2, y3, or z1, z2, z3. I can produce a single drop down box thats not a problem but linking several drop down boxes is beyond me .

I am developing a workbook, one part of the book is to track discipline I have a page for this and a userform on the front page to enter data into it. I would like if you will a summary box (list box or whatever is best) displayed on the front page and I would like a line to appear in that box maybe saying john smith requires a warning. I need this to appear if john smith has been entered 3 times into the name column on the discipline sheet however only if the offence is the same 3 times for example 3 lates not 2 lates and 1 non attendance.
After it displays this line in the summary box I would like to be able to double click it where a small userform appears where a user can then select discipline received or something and for this lien to disappear in the summary and all 3 entries in the discipline sheet.

i have 5 lists of names which i want the sheet to enter depending on the cell value of C1. C1 is a drop down of 5 different departments so when C1=department 1 for instance i want A4:A25 to automatically update the list of names that i have against that department.
im sure its fairly simply but i just cant get any formula i use to work!

I would like to use or not use a dropdown list in data validation depending on the value of another cell. The application is to be able to choose a state from the dropdown list only if the country selected in another cell is "US". If the country is not US then I want the user to be able to fill in free text and there be no dropdown list. I know it's possible to have a dropdown list and allow entries without it being on the list but I need the dropdown list not to appear at all if the value is not US.

I have a drop down list in a column where i want the user to select one of the options which is an action to be taken. The actions would be dependant on the what the persons performance rating was, so for example, if the person has Exceeded their performance targets, the only 2 applicable actions would be High Potential and Emerging Talent. Please see attached file for the actions related to the peformance rating.
I want the validation list of actions to change accordingly depnding on what the persons performance rating is. So in the example attached, i want to look up the rating in column A and have the options appear according in the same row in column B.

I'm trying to make a listbox that contains a list of items from ranges that differ depending on the contents of one cell.
In other words, say the contents of the cell in question is 'flower' the listbox will be populated with the range of cells containing flower names; if the cell was 'shrubs' the same listbox would be populated with the range of cells containing shrub names.
I've scoured the site, but can't find an exact query that matches mine (though I've probably missed a bunch of them).

Now i would like to create a list in sheet [Employee] where one the users with Yes in column A is shown.
In this ex.

No need to show yes or no.

Im currently creating a spreadsheet for my work, with common problems and solutions to one of our websites.
When the spreadsheet is opened, the user will click a button depending on what sort of problem he/she is having. In the example attached, if the user clicks on "make payments" a form will appear. This will have a list of problems.
if the user choses problem 1 from the drop down list, then I would like the list of solutions to problem 1(from the MPData sheet) to show in the box below. The same goes for problem 2, problem 3 etc.

i had a user form with a Combo box,list box,text box and a command button. I need the code that works upon selecting:
1)An Item from the combo box should display the list in the list box.
eg: If Country is selected from the combobox then the list box should contain all the names of the countries from the country Column
2)An item should be added to the list in the worksheet when an item is entered in the textbox.
Like wise, when an item is selected from the combobox from "Delete Items List" all the items relating to the item selected from the combobox should be displayed in the list box and a choice to delete the items relating to the combobox item should be provided.

I am trying to make a calendar spreadsheet to enable me to track allowance payments i am due from my company.
This payment is worked out by three conditions - where i am working (7 regions), how many days of the week (4,5,6 or7) and how many hours (<7,8-9 or 10-12)
I have made drop down lists to select each of the values for the three conditions and want to show the total for them
i can total the entire spreadheet for the month up using fairly large "COUNTIF" statements, but i want to be able to show what the exact amount is in each cell not just a complete total.
i.e. i am away for 6 days i get £15 extra, if i am in Europe i get another £50 and if i work 12 hours i get £30.
I want to be able to calculate this total in each cell for that day.
I can send a copy of the spreadsheet i have got at the moment if that will make things clearer than what i have tried to explain.

I have a cell in my spreadsheet that I use to control the size of a column. I formatted the cell as a number and added data validation to make sure the number is greater than zero. Then I realized that I need to also allow for the option of auto sizing the column as well. This would require a data validation list type with something like True and False for the choices.
What I want to be able to do is have it both ways. I want a drop down list in that cell with the options Auto Size or Custom. If Auto Size is selected the cell value gets set to that. If Custom is selected I then want to be able to type in a number.

Is there a way to setup a cell such that the value is either an item from the drop down list or, entered directly (depending on the list selection)?
I know I can do it with dependent lists but that would require two cells, one for the auto size mode (true/false) and the other for manual width value.

I see that IF statements can only be nested 7 times. How do I create a cell that checks to see what item was selected in the dropdown box of 20 different choices and choose a particular cell range depending on what is chosen?

I thought this would be a simple task, but i cant seem to figure out how to do this.
I have a list with names and its a fixed number of rows, say A1:A200. In the next column, B1:B200, there is either TRUE or FALSE. I want a make a new list with all names with "TRUE" on the same row, without any blanks. How can I do this?

I have got a worksheet wherein Column A contains the Customer Code, & Column B contains the Customer name. I want to create new worksheets based on the Customer Codes in Column A i.e for each Customer Code, new worksheet should be created wherein I would later on enter some formatting & data in the worksheets. When I select Delete worksheets, all the work sheets other than the 1st worksheet should be deleted.

I want it just to give me a list of every instance a certain word is used in a column, just like on the autofilter. But each value should in the cell beneath.
Basically I have a list of clients, now when using the autofilter I can select to see the cases from just that client.
But what I want is it to list all the clients relevant to certain months in a column.
