i had a user form with a Combo box,list box,text box and a command button. I need the code that works upon selecting:

1)An Item from the combo box should display the list in the list box.

eg: If Country is selected from the combobox then the list box should contain all the names of the countries from the country Column

2)An item should be added to the list in the worksheet when an item is entered in the textbox.

Like wise, when an item is selected from the combobox from "Delete Items List" all the items relating to the item selected from the combobox should be displayed in the list box and a choice to delete the items relating to the combobox item should be provided.

Filling Two ComboBox Depending On Another ComboBox And ...

I want to fill two Combobox (cmb 2 and 3) dependent on what the user has chosen in a first ComboBox (cmb1).

The first combobox ist based on on the first sheet, and the second and third combobox shall be filled with values from other worksheet corresponding on combobox 1 selection.

Add Data To Row Depending On Combobox?

Basically I have a column filled with names (A) that the combobox is filled with, I then have a text based inputbox and a submit button. Right now the submit button transfers the data from the inputbox to the same row depending on the combobox choice and edits the existing text which is fine.

However I also want the data to be submitted to another sheet where the data is not edited but added.

Example: I choose James from combobox and writes 10 in the inputbox, the submit button will then edit the existing value on the "Data Edit" sheet on the row James and add the value to the row James on the "Data Add sheet".

This is the edit code, I basically just need some pointers as to how to add data to blank cells in corresponding rows according to combobox selection.

Populate Textbox Depending On Selection From Combobox

Attached is my sample data.

In sheet "support data" I have two columns.

One column is a client reference and the one next to it is a client name.

On my form the combo box is populated with the client references.

When i select a reference in the combo box I would like to populate textbox1 with the corresponding client name from "support data"

(as an advanced feature it would be good if the textbox1 kept changing as the mouse was hovering over the list of client references in the combobox)

I have a userform where I have 2 comboboxes. The first combobox shows the the first column (only 1 of each) and the second comboBox shows me the secondary list that correlates to the valuse in the first from column B. Now I have a text box that I am trying to get the value from column C depending on what I have in the first 2 comboboxes. What is the easiest way to do it? This is all in VB since it is a UserForm, and using Vlookup seems to be too many lines if I go that route. Is there a way to use Index and Match in VB where it would be more efficient? I attached just a sample of how the data would be layed out in the Excel sheet.

I need to have a drop down list which displays a different set of values depending upon the value selected by a previous drop down list. ie. (drop down box 1)= x, y, z. (drop down box 2)= either x1, x2, x3, or y1, y2, y3, or z1, z2, z3. I can produce a single drop down box thats not a problem but linking several drop down boxes is beyond me .

Need Help in resolving the following issue:

Update a list using a Combo Box works fine when the list is on the same worksheet but when the list is on a different Worksheet it does not work.

Is this achievable? I guess so! but was wondering how to do it.

e.g: if my range defined name called let us say "SP" with a range AD1:AD60 in Sheet1 when I use a combo box the Listfillrange will contain: SP

When inserting a new entry using the combobox it works fine but when the same defined name range points to a different Worksheet example: Sheet2 then the update does not work although the ListFillRange contains the same Range name: SP.

I am developing a workbook, one part of the book is to track discipline I have a page for this and a userform on the front page to enter data into it. I would like if you will a summary box (list box or whatever is best) displayed on the front page and I would like a line to appear in that box maybe saying john smith requires a warning. I need this to appear if john smith has been entered 3 times into the name column on the discipline sheet however only if the offence is the same 3 times for example 3 lates not 2 lates and 1 non attendance.

After it displays this line in the summary box I would like to be able to double click it where a small userform appears where a user can then select discipline received or something and for this lien to disappear in the summary and all 3 entries in the discipline sheet.

i have 5 lists of names which i want the sheet to enter depending on the cell value of C1. C1 is a drop down of 5 different departments so when C1=department 1 for instance i want A4:A25 to automatically update the list of names that i have against that department.

I would like to use or not use a dropdown list in data validation depending on the value of another cell. The application is to be able to choose a state from the dropdown list only if the country selected in another cell is "US". If the country is not US then I want the user to be able to fill in free text and there be no dropdown list. I know it's possible to have a dropdown list and allow entries without it being on the list but I need the dropdown list not to appear at all if the value is not US.

I have a drop down list in a column where i want the user to select one of the options which is an action to be taken. The actions would be dependant on the what the persons performance rating was, so for example, if the person has Exceeded their performance targets, the only 2 applicable actions would be High Potential and Emerging Talent. Please see attached file for the actions related to the peformance rating.

I want the validation list of actions to change accordingly depnding on what the persons performance rating is. So in the example attached, i want to look up the rating in column A and have the options appear according in the same row in column B.

I'm trying to make a listbox that contains a list of items from ranges that differ depending on the contents of one cell.

In other words, say the contents of the cell in question is 'flower' the listbox will be populated with the range of cells containing flower names; if the cell was 'shrubs' the same listbox would be populated with the range of cells containing shrub names.

Im currently creating a spreadsheet for my work, with common problems and solutions to one of our websites.

When the spreadsheet is opened, the user will click a button depending on what sort of problem he/she is having. In the example attached, if the user clicks on "make payments" a form will appear. This will have a list of problems.

if the user choses problem 1 from the drop down list, then I would like the list of solutions to problem 1(from the MPData sheet) to show in the box below. The same goes for problem 2, problem 3 etc.

Auto Fill Cells Depending On Drop Down List Selection

I am trying to make a calendar spreadsheet to enable me to track allowance payments i am due from my company.

This payment is worked out by three conditions - where i am working (7 regions), how many days of the week (4,5,6 or7) and how many hours (<7,8-9 or 10-12)

I have made drop down lists to select each of the values for the three conditions and want to show the total for them

i can total the entire spreadheet for the month up using fairly large "COUNTIF" statements, but i want to be able to show what the exact amount is in each cell not just a complete total.

i.e. i am away for 6 days i get £15 extra, if i am in Europe i get another £50 and if i work 12 hours i get £30.

I want to be able to calculate this total in each cell for that day.

I can send a copy of the spreadsheet i have got at the moment if that will make things clearer than what i have tried to explain.

Single Cell Value From Either Dropdown List Or Enter Manually Depending On Selection

I have a cell in my spreadsheet that I use to control the size of a column. I formatted the cell as a number and added data validation to make sure the number is greater than zero. Then I realized that I need to also allow for the option of auto sizing the column as well. This would require a data validation list type with something like True and False for the choices.

What I want to be able to do is have it both ways. I want a drop down list in that cell with the options Auto Size or Custom. If Auto Size is selected the cell value gets set to that. If Custom is selected I then want to be able to type in a number.

Is there a way to setup a cell such that the value is either an item from the drop down list or, entered directly (depending on the list selection)?

I know I can do it with dependent lists but that would require two cells, one for the auto size mode (true/false) and the other for manual width value.

I am trying to filter a list for a ComboBox using VB.
I have the following

Defined Name 'MemMapSel'
1stCol 2ndCol 3rdCol 4thCol 5thCol
Alarms a BOOL 2001 4000
Commands i BOOL 4001 5000
Status s INT 7001 8000
Free x DINT 9001 10000
etc
etc

I am using a combobox to select which row i require and am mapping the 4thCol to a cell
At present the property 'ListFillRange' is set to 'MemMapSel' displaying all 5 columns and bounding column 4 as the value

What i really need is to Filter this list, so that the combobox only displays the BOOL entries in the 3rdCol, or the INT, etc
I think i can use the Select function to do this, but i am not sure how to go about it.

Trying to get the list from a combobox in an online form. I'm doing this as a check to make sure what I need to be there is there. Then the macro will select what I need and move on. If not found in the list, then it will move on...

So I start thinking about it and I'm not quite sure how to do that in Forms. Does ListIndex get me there?
