When I add a text box in Excel 2007, when I type the text box, instead of the cursor moving forward as I type, the cursor stays in the same place and the text moves backwards.
when I try and navigate back through the text, pressing right will make the cursor go left, pressing left will make the cursor go right
I was able to input barcode reader data into A1, and automatically get the date inserted into B1. I wish the next activecell to be C1, instead of A2 as the above code is doing at the moment - so how do I alter the code above to make this happen?
I know that the shortcut for moving the cursor to cell A1 of an active sheet within a workbook is Ctrl + Home. However, I thought there was a shortcut (using just keystrokes) to do this for all the sheets within the workbook. Is there such a shortcut?
I am working with a VBA userform and several textbox's, setting SetFocus and or TabIndex doesn't leave the box ready to accept input and there is no cursor shown to indicate it is ready to accept input.
I need a macro which will put "P" when the cursor will be moved by right arrow key in the range c19 to AG55 if the cells are blank suppose cursor is moved from c19 to c20 & if c20 is blank then "P" will come on, if c20 is not blank say "Z" is in c20,then at c20 "Z" will remain at c20 and the code will not put "P" at c20 then.
i have an excel file that has several worksheet tabs most of which i have hyperlinks running on them, what i need to do is colate a couple of the sheets to a seperate excel file but when i try to copy them from the original file to the new file they will not copy because the info is hyperlinked!
At this point, I have a list in the first column that looks something like the following:.......
First, I want to delete any cells that have two or more '' characters and delete any cells that do not have any text after the first '' character. Then I want to take the text before the character and put it in column B, deleting the ''. Once I have done these things, my original post and this one can be marked solved.
In Excel VBA Userform, how to copy the text from textbox automatically when the cursor is being moved from the textbox. And when i put CTRL+V then the copyed text has to be pasted.
I have an excel work book with 6 tabs. I would like to have Excel move an entire row from one tab to another tab (removing the row and inserting it in the other tab). I.e. Example I have a tab with items that are marked as "Open Actions" so if I were to change the drop down to close. Excel would move that entire row of actions to the tab with the "closed actions" and insert into the next available row. Now if someone were to come back at a later date say no it should be reopened than I would change the drop down to open and excel would move that row back to the open actions tab into next available row. I tried a PIVOT table and no good I played with few macro and not.
I would like to make a macro that will move rows from one worksheet to another worksheet.
I have an excel spreadsheet with multiple columns and rows, within one of the columns there is some text that refers to SOS or County, I need to move everything that has SOS to another worksheet title UCC SOS and everything that has county to be moved to another worksheet title UCC County. Here is a sampling of the worksheet
Moving Colored Text within a automatically adjusting table containing More Than 3 Colors, from Coloum to Coloum. i have managed to put this little chart together to use on our gaming wedsite but i would like to go one step further with it. may table automatically moves the colums up and down the table as i enter the infomation in to it,, "but" I the colours in the text do not stay the same as they move up and down the coloums. how to make the coloured text keep its colour in the table as it alters its position in the table
I need to remove numbers from a string of text and put them into new cells in Excel Starter 2010. There are two different values which need moving. The first is in parentheses and the second follows the parentheses.
Here's a few examples of what I mean:
Original text RED008 - Wickaman and Hoodlum bandwidth (0.06Gb @ 2.00) 0.12 MFR005EP - Various Artists bandwidth (0.19Gb @ 2.00) 0.38 RAZORS010 Future Cut bandwidth (0.01Gb @ 2.00) 0.01
would like to split into...
Cell 1 RED008 - Wickaman and Hoodlum bandwidth MFR005EP - Various Artists bandwidth RAZORS010 Future Cut bandwidth
I have a macro I found here on the boards written by Lenze to delete an entire row based on what is found in column A. I would like to delete any row where Col. B contains 10 or less characters and I have modified it to do so (or at least I think it does). My problem is that it takes about 12 minutes to run the macro (I have about 50k lines to run through). I was wondering if this is the fastest method or if it examines things other than just column B.
Sub Test() Dim i As Long LR = Cells(Rows.Count, "B").End(xlUp).Row For i = LR To 2 Step -1 If Len(Cells(i, "B")) < 11 Then Cells(i, "B").EntireRow.Delete Next i End Sub After this runs, I am left with Columns A to somewhere around AH. The columns are generally in the format of text followed by a numeric column. An individual text column has the same name through all of the rows. The numeric columns have varied values whether negative or positive. Ideally what I would like: If a given cell (ie. C2) in Row 2 is numeric, then copy the cell to the left (ie. B2) into (ie. C1) and then delete Column B. I need this to work for multiple columns from B to C, skip D and E, and then from F to AG (and maybe beyond).
I'm talking about the little black box that appears anytime you put the mouse on a cell, or drag the mouse around a group of cells - mine doesn't show up. I can still edit the cell, but I have to guess about which cell I am on.
I try to move the cursor using the keyboard arrows it stays on the cell it is on and the whole spreadsheet page moves across the screen in the direction of the arrow. So how do I restore cursor movement to the arrows.
How do I make the cursor jump down to the next row. Example: once I entered value on H2, I would like the cursor jump down to A3 then once I reach H3, the cursor would jump down to A4 and so on.
For many projects I work on I use listviews in forms, this time I thought I'd try something different.
I've created a scrollable frame with dynamically added controls and have started creating their events in a class module.
Here is the problem I now face. If I create for example a label at design time I can click on the MouseIcon property and navigate to the "hand.cur" file I have. When dynamically creating the label control I have been able to reference to the file by using:
What I've now done is embed the file on a worksheet, but hat the correct syntax is to refer to it. I've come up with the following but it doesn't work:
I received this code from the board about a month ago. It works perfectly to highlight the row the cursor is currently in but, has one flaw. Once you place this code in the sheet module and the code initiates, it will "erase all other highlight colors" within your sheet. Is there a way to correct this problem?
Here is the code;
Private Sub Worksheet_SelectionChange(ByVal Target As Range) Cells.Interior.ColorIndex = xlNone
With Target.EntireRow.Interior .ColorIndex = 37 .Pattern = xlGray25 .PatternColorIndex = 24 End With End Sub
I am wanting VBA language in a macro that will move the cursor a certain number of cells in a certain direction. For example, I want the cursor to move right one cell, no PARTICULAR cell, just right one cell. Is there something I can use?
Usually when I select a number of cells with my cursor excel adds up the cells and shows a total on the bar. It's stopped doing this now and will only show the 1st cell showing "max=No"
I have created a simpel userform that shows sales total and it is activated [.show function] whenever an entry is made in the order column. All of this works fine.
The only problem I have is that the curser jumps in to the text box and doesn't return to the order column where next entry needs to be made.
How do you move the curser out of the userform, back to the activesheet? Ideally it should move to the next cell for the user to make entry.
I am attaching my sample file here. It has some odd things that I was just playing around with as learning experience. But the main question is how to control the curser.
i have faced a problem i want to draw straight connector using code imagine when you select straight connector to draw line mouse cursor changes when you move it to a node i want to do this with excel vba code without going to shapes and selecting connector.
