Inserting Text And Moving Onto Next

I have text from subjects in rows, and I need to fill out the empty spaces with the specific text. For example my data looks like this:
Name1
Name2
Name3
Name4
Name5
Name6
I need it to fill out the empty cells below each name, with the top name so it looks like this:
Name1
Name1
Name1
Name2
Name2
Name3
[Code] ......
For example, one can see that Name3 has no empty cells below, hence it should just move on to the next (name4) etc.

I need a bit of VBA code which will run automatically when a csv file is opened. The code needs to move anything after column F onto the next row and repeat until there is no more data. The data is generated by an external program but is put on the same row (not sure why it does this). I have included an example of the csv file (the data in it is garbage so ignore it) for you to look at. the header row which needs inserting needs to be:
A1=Status
B1=Job No.
C1=Date
D1=Name
E1=Room
F1=Description
Hope this is enough information for you. bear in mind the amount of data being generated could be quite large. it has to be run automatically in order to be used in seamless mail merge.

Can someone help me i have a few columns of information i need to move over to a another sheet, but the problem is the information i need to move is the end result of a formula and when i move it the answers are gone how do i fix this,,,,, and both sheets are on the same work book as well

i have an excel file that has several worksheet tabs most of which i have hyperlinks running on them, what i need to do is colate a couple of the sheets to a seperate excel file but when i try to copy them from the original file to the new file they will not copy because the info is hyperlinked!

I have pulled a report from a website. The website only allows a certain number of characters. For instance it might go to john.smith@, dave.bird@, tom.jones@... this has been pulled into an excel sheet. I want to add the domain at the end of the email address so it would become
john.smith@whatever.com
dave.bird@whatever.com
tom.jones@whatever.com
But I have a list of 2000 usernames and I don't want to go line by line inserting whatever.com. Is there a way to automatically do this?

I have data (from a very large spreadsheet) that has data as shown below in various columns. The data should be as in col A but there is a lot of it in different formats as in B. Is there any way to change the data from B into a new column say E where I can get the data into a leading number of 3 digits, the text with 1 or 2 letters and the remainder into 4 digits with the final text subscript if it is there?

When I add a text box in Excel 2007, when I type the text box, instead of the cursor moving forward as I type, the cursor stays in the same place and the text moves backwards.
when I try and navigate back through the text, pressing right will make the cursor go left, pressing left will make the cursor go right

At this point, I have a list in the first column that looks something like the following:.......
First, I want to delete any cells that have two or more '' characters and delete any cells that do not have any text after the first '' character. Then I want to take the text before the character and put it in column B, deleting the ''. Once I have done these things, my original post and this one can be marked solved.

If I have a cell value (formatted general) of say ... OneOne .... somewhere in row 2, can i insert a formula between the two One's that inserts the row number. The intention is to have the cell display .... One2One. Conceptually the cell would read One=row()One. If you know what I mean.

Yesterday I got the solution to insert the text by using custom format. Exampe: 112233 to Ab-112233 by using "Ab-"General
But when I tried the same method to inserset the Ab on 11-1122
Like 11-1122 into Ab-11-1122 in same cell, it doesn't work.

I have an excel work book with 6 tabs. I would like to have Excel move an entire row from one tab to another tab (removing the row and inserting it in the other tab). I.e. Example I have a tab with items that are marked as "Open Actions" so if I were to change the drop down to close. Excel would move that entire row of actions to the tab with the "closed actions" and insert into the next available row. Now if someone were to come back at a later date say no it should be reopened than I would change the drop down to open and excel would move that row back to the open actions tab into next available row. I tried a PIVOT table and no good I played with few macro and not.

I would like to make a macro that will move rows from one worksheet to another worksheet.
I have an excel spreadsheet with multiple columns and rows, within one of the columns there is some text that refers to SOS or County, I need to move everything that has SOS to another worksheet title UCC SOS and everything that has county to be moved to another worksheet title UCC County. Moving Colored Text within a automatically adjusting table containing More Than 3 Colors, from Coloum to Coloum. i have managed to put this little chart together to use on our gaming wedsite but i would like to go one step further with it. may table automatically moves the colums up and down the table as i enter the infomation in to it,, "but" I the colours in the text do not stay the same as they move up and down the coloums. how to make the coloured text keep its colour in the table as it alters its position in the table

What I need it for is an automated report that should be used for several different projects. Each projekt have events on different dates, and I only want the report to show a specific date if there is some text (i.e. event) on that date. As it is now, it's a looong report with several blanks with only a date showing. So it should insert a row (the tricky part) + the date + the text if condition is met, and do nothing if they are not. The script should add and remove rows and text depending on what project the information is taken from.
The data it should grab is in this form (many more data inputs though..):
Date Date Date
TEXT
And the report:
Date:
Date: TEXT
Date:
and should be like:
Date: TEXT

I need to remove numbers from a string of text and put them into new cells in Excel Starter 2010. There are two different values which need moving. The first is in parentheses and the second follows the parentheses.

I'm working with a large report that includes ~6000 rows of data. Within the report the data is separated into a couple hundred town names - "Town of XXX" - and I need a page break at each town. Is there a way to insert a page break based on text in a cell? Should be an option in conditional formatting but... Need to avoid VBA.
