I would like to change A1 cell's Interior.ColorIndex to red color and A1's font format to Italic, while mouse cursor on top of A1 cell.
Can i do it with a VBA code or any different way to do it?
For example:

I know how to change the cursor with a custom one. The pb is for me to identifie that the pointer is over the cell so as to launch the cursor change macro (and reverse when going over another cell).
Excel does that, for ex, with commented cells but can VBA do it also?
I know you can see it but If set to default when the mouse moves over an object it changes to that object's cursor. Access had a screen property that may have detected this change. I am working with a VBA userform and several textbox's, setting SetFocus and or TabIndex doesn't leave the box ready to accept input and there is no cursor shown to indicate it is ready to accept input.

Each location is colour coded based on performance / measure, in a basic thermographic way [e.g. dark blue for very poor, solid red for high performance] with users being able to change metrics and re-colour cells accordingly.
The sheet is already information rich, but I'm wanting to detect the cell address directly under the pointer and populate a text box or other cell based on the value in the cell directly below the mouse pointer.

I know I can use Filter and filter out characters like &'!/; but that takes too long because I have a lot of lists to go through with thousands of entries. There must be a macro that will close spaces between words when only one space exists, but eliminate every word if 2 or more spaces exist between words - as well as eliminate unwanted characters like the ones I described above. I know I could use substitute and eliminate the spaces between words =substitute(a1," ","") but then I'd have to filter each and every instance of unwanted character.
On my worksheet, i want to execute a macro to calculate and display some informations when the mouse is positioned over certains cells. I look around but did not found how to do it.

I want to select a function from a right mouse click that will place the current date in the selected cell.

This would occur in real time - that is, as my mouse moved over the spreadsheet, B7 would update in real time.
Note I would also accept someone selecting the cell - hovering (no select) would be ideal but selecting is OK.
I was just wondering if it was possible to get a collapsible menu/dialog box
for excel when a user clicks on the cell of interest. I don't want to use
the collapsible list function as I would rather the user be able to click on
the cell of interest and then have that cell produce maybe another
window/dialog box which will show the user what I have put in there - maybe a
chart or table or just a set of data - and perhaps allow them to cut and

dialog/window box to appear rather than having to group and use the

I am on the row 100 in column G. I had a freeze the first row where i have hypertext and other function. I want add here (in the 1. row) something like hypertext, but i want to stay in the row where i was.
When i am on row 100 in column G and i want to create function which move my cursor to column W but in the same row (row 100 in this case).
Next time i will be in row 154 and i will want to move my cursor again in column W and use this same hypertext/function or what.
