i have created a workbook that has a userform with a microsoft date and timepicker control which works perfectly.the problem is when i try to open the workbook on my laptop the the user form will not open. i think this is to do with the datepicker control. in additional controls in the vba editor on my laptop the microsoft time and datepicker is not there.is there a reason why it is not there or do i have to download it and put it there

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to use a Monthview Control to put a date in a textbox and need the format to be in 'dd mmmm yyyy'.
The problem is that whilst I can get the date in that format, it is US format - so it is putting today in as '05 March 2013'.
I'm building a userform excel application and am using the MS date/time picker control. I've run into the familiar "computer doesn't have OCX" problem and want to avoid using a custom OCX.
I was thinking of just making my own control instead. Has anyone made one in VBA? I found some VB examples which I could port over, but they use a lot of api calls. For reliability, I'd like to keep this as simple as possible though.

View 2 Replies View Relatedcreating 2 fields in my userform that the user can input 2 dates that would serve as the range to set the autofilter. So user inputs field1 = 11/01/2011 and then field2 = 01/31/2012.
I was previously using a month range in my userform, populating from the known months and allowing the user to select a range. Since our data is now spanning a new year, this is no longer possible as I cannot make the combobox range go from 11 - 1 (November to January)

I have some excel tools developed in Excel 2003 which uses the date and time picker control (DtPicker). When I open my files in Excel 2007 the DtPicker is missing and the change_event will not load the calendar. I cannot find and activate the datepicker in the Reference base.

What I am struggling with is that I'd like to have the calendar that pops up in cell C18 (which is Date of Birth) default to starting on 1st January 1987 not todays date. Also, if there is a value in either of the 3 cells that use the calendar, then I'd like the calendar to display that date. If the cell is empty then todays date is fine for cells G3 and G26.
I am using the Microsoft Date and Time Picker Control 6.0 (SP4) from the more controls option on the developer Ribbon. The issue I have is when I protect the sheet I lose the functionality?
I have ranges selected as editable by user when the protect is on - this includes the linked cell to the date picker but it still doesn't work.
I have just added two date and time picker controls to my spread sheet to allow the user to select the date range.
They are linked to cells C9 & C10.
The problem is that the formula I using to check whether the first selection pre-dates the second has stopped calculating correctly when using the date and time pricker controls.

Basically it was “highlighting” the todays date but if one of the cmd_button was clicked then it would highlight the today’s date plus 15 (making the highlighted date, if we take today as an example: 2014/05/22).
Now with the Month View is there a way to select the exact same thing? I mean I know if I deactivate the “Show Today” in the properties but is there a way to make the selected date to have the “Circle in Red” around the date IF I click on a command button?
I have a workbook that has multiple spreadsheets. Data is added to the spreadsheets using userforms for each spreadsheet. I have created a pop-up calendar to add dates and want to know if there is a way to add dates without having to create multiple calendars for each txt field on each userform. I would like it so that when I click on the calendar it would put the date into the text field it was launched from.
This is the code in the calendar which only puts the date into the field named Dat_Clsd.

I am trying to add a calendar picker to Excel 2010. Everything I read online says that it is possible, you just need to use the ActiveX control "Microsoft Date and Time Picker Control 6.0", and that it should be listed under Developer Tab -> Insert -> More Controls ->... But it's not listed.
I also tried downloading the Microsoft Windows Common Controls-2 6.0, but when I tried to add it to Excel using "Register Custom...", it says "Cannot register this control".
Why this control is missing? and I can't add it?

I have populated the TreeView control with data and what I want to be able to do is to drag the nodes off the TreeView control to the spreadsheet control.
I can drag onto a normal worksheet but not onto the spreadsheet control (the no drop mouse pointer keeps showing).
How do I determine which control the user is currently modifying on a multipage form (either changing, enterying or exiting the specific control). when I use "userform1.activecontrol" i get "multipage1" as the control name but I need the actual control on the specific active multipage. (also the .TABINDEX is for the multipage regardless of the on-page control) I use a generic data-field change SUBroutine so need the control name (and the TABINDEX) to provide my SELECT CASE. (so every fieldname_CHANGE calls the same SUB [with no parameters])
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a program where I can update the calibration due date of an item. I have attached a cut down version of my program showing the relevant areas. There is usually password protection on the worksheet so it can only be edited via the form (the vba coding removes the password protection before editing, then re-enables the password protection after editing). The "Update Calibration" button is usually on a "Menu" sheet.
Once the form is opened a serial number is typed in the textbox. The calendar button is then clicked, which brings up another form with the calendar on. The due date is selected on the calendar. When "OK" is clicked, the date label caption is then changed to the selected calendar date. When "Submit" is clicked, the spreadsheet will search for the Serial Number, once found, the label caption (being the date selected) will be entered into the cell to the right of the serial.
If the day selected on the calendar is greater than 12 the date is entered correctly onto the sheet. example: calendar date selected = 15/01/2010. shown on sheet as 15/01/2010. However, if the day selected on the calendar is 12 or less, the date is for some reason entered incorrectly onto the sheet. example: calendar date selected = 08/12/2010. shown on sheet as 12/08/2010???? What is going on here? how come the day and month are swapped around if the day is less than 12????

I do not know how to do userforms and so that is why I wonder if I can add this in just a spreadsheet.

Has anyone out their ever seen an Calendar type of control totally built in an Excel vba UserForm?
My problem that Ive tried to resolve for some time is utilizing some type of pop-up calendar to eliminate format issues in my published Excel forms. I have tried a number of calendar controls but all have to be registered on the local machine and this cannot be guarantied for every machine.
If someone could direct me to a vba UserForm that has this built in that might do the trick. Or is their another way to deal with this?
I have 2 macros: 1 controlled by a checkbox activex (PA_03) and the other a combobox (PA_03_rows) in a worksheet. I display the results from PA_03, and the user than then increase or decrease the number by using the combobox. But when I change the value (PA_03_rows.value = x) it causes the macro to jump to the macro.
I don't think it did initially, but it does now. According to another post, I saw it shouldn't do it! Is there something I'm just not seeing here?

I actually wanted to get a future date using a Dynamic two day off as my the offs keep on changing as well as incorporate Holidays and Leaves if any..
Now Holidays would be official Public Holidays and
Leaves would be taken by the employee..
The code needs to pick the Leaves + Holidays and different offs maybe even more than 2 offs...
I have a table of data (total 142 rows). Column contains dates, in the format dd-mmm-yyyy.
I tried to filter using DATE FILTERS->EQUALS and in the custom filter window, I chose EQUALS then picked a date from the date picker icon. The date I picked was 5/4/2009 (this is May 4, 2009, formatted automaticall by excel as m/d/yyyy).
When I clicked OK, nothing showed up despite the fact that there are 6 occurences of May 4, 2009 (formatted as dd-mmm-yyyy in the data table)
So my questions are:
1. Is this due to the formatting?
2. Is there a way to change the date format supplied by the date picker?
I am now trying to create a excel macro to auto populate all the dates with reference to a start date and end date. The catch is that only working days are required in the range. My reference cells (start and end date) are in Sheet 1 while the destination cell range are in Sheet 2. The reason for creating a macro instead of a function is that the intervals between the start date and end date changes frequently (annual, semi-annual and quarterly) Best case scenario would be a button which I can just press after i input the dates to generate the range of dates in another sheet.

Example
Initial Date :- 1st of January 2014
Frequency :- every 5 weeks
Current Date :- 9th of March 2014
Next Due date should be :-12th of March 2014 (if I worked it out correctly from my paper calendar)
I want to use a cell formula to do this for different initial dates and varying frequency periods (the frequency will always be whole weeks i.e. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,8,10)
