There are no blank rows and Colume A has the names sorted.

I am attaching a sample excel sheet showing what I need to do.In the first tab, I have a list that includes duplicate rows (first column only). I want to remove those duplicate rows but I don't want to lose the data in the following columns which can be unique or duplicates as well.
see the desired result tab in the sheet to get an idea of what I am looking for as the end result.
Keep in mind that the actual source file I am working with could have up to 50000 row, and the expected results could be around 2000 rows. So nothing can be done manually.

i tried the advanced filter - copy unique record to another location but it would only copy the unique column a values to another location and not values on the same row attached to that column a value.
I'm just using the "=COUNTIF" function to count how many times a particular website was repeated, but I have no idea if such website is among the top five that appear the most throughout. Finding that manually, given the ridiculous size of the data provided, would take days!

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a spreadsheet that is updated daily with data that falls into one of two categories: a) completely new to the sheet or b) existing from the day before but not taken care of yet. The items which fall into category a are evaluated, and notes added to the sheet. The items in category b must be compared to the new data, and duplicated lines deleted but notes from previous evaluation must be kept on the sheet. In addition, anything on the sheet that is not included in the new information needs to be deleted. I've set up a sheet with all old and new data with dates the data showed up as well as the notes associated with the old data, and have concatenated all the info from each row into column V (from another suggestion I got on a similar but not exactly the same problem which I also still haven't figured out). The sheet has been sorted by col V so any matching rows should be within 3 or 4 rows of the original. The problem is that my code does absolutely zilch!

I am building a template ("Table") that will import data from 4 other spreadsheets and then format the data once its all in the template. I need to delete all rows where a name didn't import. The names are landing in column B (starting with B22), so I set up my code using an active cell loop macro to examine each cell to see if it was empty, and then to delete the row if it were. I've tried 4-5 iterations of code but nothing is working correctly.
Apparently when the fields are copied over from the other spreadsheets, some empty cells actually have something in them such that they are not completely blank. What syntax I can use so that I capture every instance of a blank/empty cell and delete that corresponding row? Some of the code I've tried is below.

I have a excel file which contains dublicate rows. The duplicate rows can be identified based on few cell/column values. I need a macro to delete the duplicate rows when the below condition is satisfied: let us consider row 5 and row 6:
If column 7,12,13,16,17,18,19,23,24,27,28,29,30 in row 5 = row 6 then row 6 has to be deleted. This condition has to be followed for all other rows in the excel used range. Have attached the sample workbook.

I am trying to get two cells to be used to adjust other cells on the same sheet repeated times.
In a inventory sheet I have 5 columns as such , A1 previous balance, B1 Qty received, C1 qty on hand, D1 last cost, E1 current avg cost What I want, is to be able to enter my weekly received items in the B1 Qty received and the new cost in D1 Last cost cells and have them calculate my current average E1 and update my qty on hand C1 total. This in itself is not the biggest challenge. I was asking if there is a way that after the E1 current average cost and C1 qty on hand are updated by that formula, that the next time I enter a new B1 qty received and new cost in D1 Last cost cell they will update again basically without changing the earlier calculations achieved .
Example: Today I have item X with a A1 previous balance of 10 , with a D1 last cost of $1, and E1 current avg cost $1
I want to receive B1 10 more today at $.50 D1 last cost, which ideally would end up showing
A1 previous 10 (or 20 if adding) , C1 Qty on hand 20, D1 Last cost .5, E1 current avg $.75
Next week I want to receive B1 10 more at $.25 D1 last cost , which then would update showing
A1 previous balance 10 (or 30 if adding), Qty on hand 30, Last cost $.25 and E1 current avg $.58
I am trying to solve a column total where rows that have a repeated column A value only have their column B value totaled once.
For example the table:
A B
item1 20
item1 20
item2 50
item3 30
The total I am looking for column B is 100 (20+50+30) and not 120, as item1 should only be added once.
I made a few forum searches I made and did not find my answer, though I suspect this is a repeat question. I am guessing there may be a sumif(frequency solution out there that I'm just not hip to yet.
In colmn A:A i need returned, which numbers (if any) are repeated and how often each repeated number occured.
Admitedly... I'm lost on this one.

i have a list of prices and i need that list in other column with any price repeated.... and theses prices are imported data, so they change, thats way need to be formula =/

I have searched high and low for a more efficient macro than the current loop i have. I have a range that varies in size but always follows the same format. After i reach a certain value output from a formula, "4", I want to delete all lines below that line. So I want to find value "4" then move one row down and delete all lines to line 2004. I have attached the macro that i compiled but it takes a couple of minutes to run.

I am trying to delete rows that do not have values in column B. This is a quote form that takes up over 1000 rows but not all are needed (ie lines that do not have any value in B "qty"). Is there a way do have excel delete these without doing it manually?
