I am attempting an If Or formula and keep retuning a #Value error, I can't for the life of me figure out why.

This is the formula that I have written.

=IF(OR(H44,H45,H46,H47,H48)="Other:","True","False")

Cells H44,I44,J44 have been merged into one cell (H44), and the same for 45,46,47,and 48 - Could this affect the Formula?

Before my workbook is open the following code is run, which asks the user to enter the password. Depending on the password Range("name").Value takes values from the worksheet "Data" from table "M4:M20". The list of passwords is in the table "L4:L20". My code seems to be not optimal (too long). Does anybody know how to optimize this code?

Determine If Value Exists In Column & Copy Range If It Does

I require a row of details to be copied to another worksheet by typing in a unique ID using a macro so Sheet 1 is a data base of items (every item have a unique code like 1001, 1002 etc) and sheet 2 has a table, and next to the table is a cell, which i need to work like a search engine.

i need to be able to type the unique id in a cell, in sheet 2, then click an Add command Button. This button then finds the unique id in sheet 1, and copies all the items details in the same row, into sheet 2 in the table, then i require the search engine to be cleared for the next item to be added. (Assumed Experience:Below Average, I know few formulas and know very basic macros)

I'm sure this will be an easy question, but I've been searching for awhile and can't seem to find an answer. I'm trying to write code in VBA that will check if a directory within c:documents and settings...my documents exists, and then save a file to that directory. The problem is, I'm having trouble finding the my documents directory. Is there some object or property that I could use to find the my documents path? Note that the worksheet that I'll be working with is in a separate directory, and therefore neither activeworkbook.path nor thisworkbook.path would be an option.

Determine If Custom Commandbar Exists

I have programmed an Excel file that removes all the standard commandbars from Excel and then opens a custom commandbar, I built, with limited functionality ( Named "Limited"). When I open this file on another computer, since that custom commandbar does not exist in that copy of Excel no Limited commandbar shows. So I created a macro that builds the custom commandbar when a file is opened. What I want is when the file is opened on subsequent times that it checks to see if that commandbar already exists. If it does, it skips the macro which builds this custom commandbar for the first time. It then disables the standard Excel commandbars (code written already) and enables the "Limited" commandbar (code aleardy written).

I have two columns of data with a minimum value in the first column and a maximum value in the second column. What I'm trying to get is an indicator in a third column which tells me if a whole number falls at or between the minimum and maximum values. Here is a sample of my data:

Im trying to write a formula that will check if a name that I have in column A also appears in column B and if it does I want it to return a value for example TRUE in column C.

I'm currently doing a survey and I have all employees in column A (600persons) and then column B I enter thos that have taken the survey. So If an employees name exist in column B he/she has done the survey and then they I get the value "TRUE" or "1" or something else. So in this way I can easily see who has and who hasn't done the survey. I've been trying with VLOOK and so on but I can not get it right? Maybe I need VBA?

I'm needing a formula that will determine the number of days that fall in a specific month based on a date range. For example, if I have a date range of 10/15/2009 to 01/13/2009, I need the formula to determine the number of days in each month within the range (October has 15 days in the date range; November has 30, December has 31, and January has 13.) I have a large spreadsheet that would be so much easier to manage with such a formula. Currently, my spreadsheet is setup as follows. I need the forumla automatically fill in the number of days under each month.

the active sheet contains a number of defined named ranges. i would like to delete range names beginning with "Sales", yet the number of defined ranges changed from sheet to sheet = for example, Sheet1 may have 3 defined ranges (Sales1, Sales2, Sales 3), Sheet 2 may have 1 (Sales 1). Is it possible to included a wildcard search in the following code?

I just want to search through range A16:Z16 and if the word "FALSE" exists delete the entire column. The word "TRUE" is the only other word that would exist in range A16:Z16

How To Find Specific Word And Sum The Column According To That Word

I would like to have a formula find a specific word in column L and return the sum from column E for the same fund from column C.

I tried using =SUMIF(L:L,"*annual*",E:E) but that gives me the sum of annual for the entire column. I need to be able to specify the fund.

word "annual" also appears in "semi annual" so I need to be able to separate the two.

I'm trying to copy the content of a word document (File A) to another (File B) using Excel VBA. File A has about 100's of pages (not sure of the number as it varies) and this needs to be split to different files, each having 15 Pages.

Below is my code, where I'm able to select the content of the first Page and paste it in the target folder, but not sure how to determine the number of pages in word using excel VBA.

I have a row (will always be row 3) where each cell contains a day of the week, the days repeats for a year or so, making the row almost 400 cells.

Like this,
Mo - Tu - We - Th - Fr - Sa - Su - Mo - Tu - We - Th - Fr - Sa - Su - and so on...

Though, A3 doesn't have to be "Mo" because the days in this case can change (A3 can start with "Tu"), hence I think I need a macro.

So if this row contains a weekend, "Sa or "Su" I want all the cells in the column beneath that which contains a specific value to be cleared.

Example, if "Sa" or "Su" has 3 values in the columns under them, all the values that contain "X" or "Y" has to be cleared.

Like this:
Rows (1,2,3...,)
1----
2----
3 Mo - Tu - We - Th - Fr - Sa - Su - .. and so on..
4 A --- B --- X --- Y --- X --- B --- Y
5 A --- B --- X --- Y --- X --- X --- X
6 A --- B --- X --- Y - --X --- Y --- C

After the macro it should be:

3 Mo - Tu - We - Th - Fr - Sa - Su

I have 2 sets of data in my excel spreadsheet.

Column A has a bunch of numbers and some duplicates
Column B has the same numbers but lots more and no duplicates
Column C describes what column B number does

All I want is for my formula to return the value in C when A#=b#:b#. The if statement, that I can't figure out how to get it to work right is this. =IF(A2=B2:B1021,C2:C1021)

This is fine if the 1st value is true (meaning a2=b2), the problem is the IF statement returns the 1st value in the array(I think) which in this case is false. An example of the array is below, the result of my formula is always false unless i change B2 to equal A2.

I have a worksheet that contains active rows and hidden, inactive rows. On occasion, I would like to unhide an inactive row. I intend to do this by running a macro which will generate an input box to enter the file number of the row in question. I can restore the row, but what I am unable to find a solution for is converting the file number to the row number to be restored. The file numbers reside in column A, so if I input file number 2300, I need the macro to look through column A, find the cell that contains the value 2300, and return (as a string?) the row number that contains that value. From this I can have that row returned to visible status.

Basically, I want a formula that searches for more than one word anywhere within a cell, and if the cell contains any of those words somewhere in it then I want to display a value, but if the words aren't there, then stay blank.

For example, my cell could say: "Magenta, Rose, Lime, Lavendar". I want to search this cell for any of the these words: "Lime", "Forest" or "Teal". If any of these appear, I then want the cell with this formula to say "Green".

I know the formula to search for only one word /phrase in a cell, I use: =(IF(ISNUMBER(SEARCH("yellow",A1)),"colour","-")), (i.e. if the word "yellow" appears anywhere in cell A1, then this cell will show the word "colour", if not then a "-".) I tried adding an 'OR' function in this to search multiple words but it didn't seem to work.

I have a worksheet that will have tabs added as time goes by and a macro within the workbook currently selects all of the sheets and copies and pastes formulas within all of the sheets simultaneously. Right now, if a tab is added, the macro needs to be updated to select that specific tab name as well.

I would like to simply have the macro select all of the sheets starting with "IL" until the sheet before "reference", or all sheets except the first 3 and the last 2 if that is easier. Any ideas? And thank you for your help, you people really amaze me sometimes!
