I am currently trying to keep the print feature disabled in excel untill any of three specific cells are filled out. So that any of the following possibilities would work:
Private Sub Workbook_BeforePrint(Cancel As Boolean)
If IsEmpty(Range("A2,H2,P2")) Then
Cancel = True
End If
End Sub
This code works for A2 but I can't get it to work for H2 or P2. i.e. print will be enabled if A2 has content and disabled if all three cells are blank, but if A2 is empty and H2 has content print will remain disabled.
I am creating an excel application and have come a bit stuck. I would like to able create a macro button for printing a blank version of the workbook...when I say blank I mean the cells that the end user is able to type into.
I think I am able to do this providing all the cells are on the same sheet as the button using this ...
I have found a macro which disables all print features in excel. I have rwo other codes to print. When I put this macro, It also disables the print from the other macro. How can I use this code so that normal print features will be disabled but if someone takes the print from the macros, Print will be allowed. The code which disables the print is given below:
Private Sub Workbook_BeforePrint(Cancel As Boolean) If PrtOK Then Cancel = False Else MsgBox "Can't print from here!" Cancel = True End If End Sub
Is there a way to auto-populate all of the empty cells with the word "Need to Review" in a cell range (A1:A250)? Once any of the cells in this range is populated, whatever is inputted should house the cell.
Is there any chance to cancel print for set of worksheets? For example in workbook with Sheet1 to Sheet4, i wish to allow printing only for sheet4 and all other sheets to disable print.
I have a spreadsheet with a print button which allows the user to print only the parts I want them to see. I have removed the Printer icon on the toolbar, but does anyone know how to remove the Print option on the File menu? (File/Print)
I am trying to disable a command button if 4 textboxes are empty. I can make it work if one of the textboxes are empty but not all of them. this is what i have so far.
Private Sub TXT3_Change() If TXT3.Value = "" Or TXT4.Value = "" Or TXT5 = "" Or TXT6 = "" Then CommandButton13.Enabled = False End If If TXT3.Value "" Then CommandButton13.Enabled = True End If End Sub
how to disable autocomplete for a specific cell. There is only one cell (A11) that I don't want to use auto complete but I want every other cell to be able to still autocomplete. I think it may have something to do with matchentry being set to 2, but I'm not sure how to do this.
I don't know what sintax I need to use. I've tried this line of code but it doesn't work
1) 4 values contains in each row based on the values from those cells the max value will display.
2) if more than 2 cells have empty,NR or NA text means the entire row has to delete.
3) if 2 or more that means 3 cells having values the empty cell,NR or NA cell will place value with the condition of macro that is 75% of other values which is maximum among them.
I have a long range of cells (U3:AX3), all of which are empty save one. Is there a way to search through the range of cells, and return the contents of the one cell that contains text?
I would do this with a series of nested IF statements if there weren't more than 30 of them!
Is it possible to make a cell "really" blank/empty based on an If statement? For instance:
=if(a1>10,a1,"")
Has a value_if_false of "". But Excel interprets this a bit differently than a cell that never had anything typed into it.
So if you have a column full of this formula copied down, and hit <control+down arrow>, you will go straight to the bottom and skip over all rows. Whereas if you have a column with values and empty cells alternating and hit <control+down arrow>, you will only skip the empty cells and go to the next value. Excel treats the conditionally empty cells as if they have a value, when it comes to this type of navigation. This holds even if you copy and paste "Values" for the cells over the formulas.
Is there any way to tell Excel to make the cells truly empty?
How I can look up non empty cells as shown in the below tables by use of a formula (I guess shifting data to the left without any empty cells between the data)?
I found a code which is very useful for my project, I have somehow copied the coding and tried to use it, however, I seek help to accomplish it. My question is as follows:-
I have 3 forms,namely PO1,PO2 & PO3. All the data is extracted from the spreadsheet, how do I call up the PO2 form if the row selected is PO2? Attached is my file for better understanding.
I am trying to swith between different printers to print out sheets within a single workbook. Recording the macro doesn't work very well and the code I found online doesn't work either (error: object doesn't support property).
How can I set this up to be a dynamic printer setting? Code I tried:
I need to get a button to print specified columns of data. There are columns in between the data that I don't need. So what I need is something that will allow me to print everything in column D starting at row 4 down to the last cell with data in it as well as G and H starting at row 4 down to the last cell with data in it. I have somewhat figured it out but the data ends up being put on different pages when printing. If possible I need it to print side by side on the same page.
I am seeking the most efficient code to print all excel worksheets beginning with sheet "XYZ" and ending with the last sheet in the workbook.
- Sheet "XYZ" is always the starting point - The number of sheets after "XYZ" is variable - The names of the subsequent sheets are unique and not sequentially named/numbered - The printing will be to one report (i.e. don't print pages individually)
Using Excel 2003 I am trying to write a macro to set the print area according to the amount of data in a particular range of cells. I find I can include this instruction
I have a workbook that has multiple sheets for patients (each named with SSN) with all such sheets having identical structure. I have the VBA code below that prints all sheets. Each sheet will have 7 pages when printed. Is it possible to amend the code so that it prints page 1 and page 3 from each sheets only?
VB: Sub PrintSpecificSheets() Dim WS As Worksheet, mySheets() Redim mySheets(0)
I'm looking to setup a macro that will print specific pages on the current worksheet. What pages will print in that same worksheet will be determined on the value of a specific cell.
Here is what I have that isn't working.
VB: Sub Print_Specific_Pages() '''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''Prints only pages that contain data '''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' If Range("B3").Value = 0 Then Worksheets.PrintOut from:=1, to:=1 'Prints page 1 when there is no data.
I'm trying to find a solution to print to PDF specific worksheets in multiple Excel files. The files reside in the same directory, and I would like to be able to print them all at once to PDFs.
I have a workbook which serves as a master database at work. it contains two sheets: current residents of our facility (let's call this Sheet1), and those that have left/been discharged (Sheet2). It contains 87 rows and 34 columns of info.
I'm looking for a macro that will do the following:
When I click on a cell in any row (i.e. I need relative references) on Sheet1, the macro will (once activated):
1. Select the info between column D and column AH (inclusive) on the row where the selected cell is... i.e if I click on cell F4 before the macro is started, it will select the info from D4:AH4.
2. It will COPY this info
3. It will paste the info into the first empty row on Sheet2, starting from column C (i.e if the first empty row is 200, it will paste the info from C200:AG200)
4. It will then have a popup asking for: a. 'Date Left' and b. 'Reason', with two empty fields to input the info into. 'Date Left' is (obviously) a date value and 'Reason' is a text string. Once OK is hit on this popup, the Date Left will be pasted in column A of the same row (in our example, A200), and 'Reason' will be pasted into column B (again, in our example B200).
5. The macro will then go back to Sheet1 and delete the info that was selected between Columns D and AH inclusive (in our example, D4:AH4)
I have a User form with a combo box that is populated with numbers (1 thru 50) and four text boxes for first name, last name, email & cell number.
It all works fine. However: I would like it to transfer the data to (Sheet3) in numerical order... In other words, If the user picks number 5 his data would be entered in the fifth row.(or sixth counting header). Or if he chooses number 37, his info would be entered into row 37 (38 with header) of (Sheet3)
It currently populates the next empty row.
My code is below, How would I modify it to accomplish this?
Code: Private Sub EnterButton_Click()
'Populates GetNumber Combo Box
Dim w As Worksheet, x As Long Set w = Sheets("Sheet2") x = w.Columns(19).Find(Me.GetNum.Value, lookat:=xlWhole, LookIn:=xlValues).Row w.Range("S" & x).Delete
