Display Different Text Based On Data

We are working on having the spreadsheet display the correct options, depending on what criteria are chosen. There are three choices in the first criteria and two choices in the second criteria. These choices are presented using data validation so they will always be formatted correctly. Worked on conditional formatting to display results but did not make much progress. Started working on "if" statements to display results, looks like this may not be efficient. Spent a lot of time reading, trying to find a solution.

Display TEXT Only Based On Number Rating And Calculations?

I am trying to display result of risk assessment matrix in excel. I have three columns PROBABILITY , IMPACT and RISK RATING (probability *impact).

Probability = Very Low(1), Low(2), Medium (3), High (4), Very High (5)
Impact = Low(1), Medium(2), High(3)
Risk Rating = Low (value between 1 -3), Medium (value between 4 - 6), High (value between 7 - 15)

Is there any way that I just use TEXT in the cell (visible to user) and excel does its magic in the background using the numbers that I have for each TEXT? I don't want to display numbers.

Display Named Range Contents Based On Text In Cell

I have some dynamic named ranges in sheet1, and in sheet2 I have data validation dropdown list which has the names of all the DNR's in it.

What I want it to do (in sheet3, no less) is for the user to be able to pick a named range from the dropdown list, and have a particular column in sheet3 then display that entire named range.

I have made a 'data' worksheet which is the source for the data validation in sheet2. Each item in the list identically matches the name of each of the named ranges. I was hoping to be able to use some form of =INDIRECT but alas, no such luck.

So it's almost like a copy and paste function I'm after, where:

If you pick "Schedule_From" out of the DD-list, then DNR 'Schedule_From' is what is pasted in Column B in Sheet3.

DON'T want to use a PivotTable.

I am trying to do in the title so here it goes. I want a user to be able (on form 1) to enter a list of codes that refer to specific requirements (e.g. code PB114 may mean the user needs to perform a pressure test) and then excel will automatically display the requirement somewhere below. It is going to be somewhat of a database. In otherwords lets say in cell A1 you type in a code, e.g. PB114. In a range of merged cells or somewhere below that cell I want the information "Perform a pressure test" to appear.

For example, if I select December then data would be pulled from other tabs and displayed. If I Select June the information would change and select other data from the same tabs.

How can I display everything after the 'SHIP TO - ' in an adjacent column. one of my suppliers can only provide me with a basic .xls product list as shown in the attached test sheet.xlsx.

Is it possible to create and run a macro from test sheet.xlsm that will extract data from test sheet.xlsx, specifically from below the heading on row 64 down to and above the heading on row 123 and paste into the (new) worksheet in test sheet.xlsm

This sheet is updated daily and all the heading rows are constantly fluctuating as products are sold and added.

I can do this manually easy enough but if there's any way that this can be automated

A1 - width (in inches)
A2 - height (in inches)

Converts the text box to that height & width.

I have a workbook with 2 sheets.

Sheet 1 will act as a summary for sheet 2, showing only the last 5 entries from sheet 2.

Sheet 2 is based on football results of a season which will have a total of 34 league games plus cup games.

Sheet 2 has 4 columns:

Game Number Home Team Result Away Team
1 United 2-0 City
2 Sportive 4-2 Uniao
3 Real 1-0 Ateltico
4 Villa 1-3 City
5 United 2-1 Real
6 Atletico 0-0 Villa

So sheet 1 will show the last 5 results as the season progress's and new data is added.

I have been able to extract column 'GAME NUMBER' using the following formula:

=INDEX('Back end 1'!A:A,MATCH(9.99999999999999E+307,'Back end 1'!A:A)-ROWS('Back end 1'!A2:A$6)+1)

I am struggling to find a way to pull the last 5 data that is text based.

I am using Excel Mac 2011.

How To Hide / Display Text

I am trying to hide/display text by using form fields. I swiped the idea from a spreadsheet I obtained from a vendor and thought I would extend it to suit my purpose.

When I check the box for "table one", I'd like for the data that I have associated with it to display. When I uncheck the box, I would like for that data to be hidden. The goal is to be able to choose one data source and see at a glance which fields come from that source and what their names are. The formulas that currently exist for the cells in column I do a nice job of putting text in a field when the box is checked, but I don't want to have to rewrite the formula in the cell if/when the source of the data changes. It's a lot of long schema/table/field names. Maybe that's the only way, though...

I scrubbed and mocked up column J to try to demonstrate. It's sorta color coded.

And it might be that using form fields is not the best way to hide/display text based on source type.

irst Problem:

I need a little help with the same employee time sheet that I am working on in Excel 2007. I have a dropdown box in Cell E1 that lets the employee select their name. Example, if the choices in the drop down are: Smith, John Jones, Paul Nelson, Bob and Hall, Bill. So the names are Last Name, First Name. Once the employee chooses their name, I would like Cell G1 to display "Hello (E1). Welcome to AA Company." (where E1 is the employee's name but First Name Last Name - so it is reverse order of the choices in the dropdown). If E1 is left blank, I would like Cell G1 to display "Hello. Welcome to AA Company."

Second Problem:

How can I get rid of #VALUE! in a cell without messing up the formula of that cell or the cell it corresponds to??

When I enter a url in a cell it shows up underlined and with a different color (blue). I tried formatting as general or text to no avail. I deleted and reentered without http etc. but it still is underlined and blue. Anthing I type in that cell now is underlined and blue. If I click on the cell it launches my browser. I just want the text of the url in the cell.
