Dec 7, 2008I have a cell range of L3:N3 on Sheet 1 and on Sheet 2 in A1 i have the value of N3 of Sheet 1.
Now, if I move L3:N3 to eg. R10:T10 I want the value A1 ( Sheet 2 ) to be updated to T10 ( Sheet 1 )
Right now, it wont update dynamically, value of A1 stays at N3...
Dynamically Reference Range Of Cells?
Jun 27, 2012I have a 'receipt' worksheet with about 500+ lines of data, here is an example of what could be in cell A166: 1.1 NET_AMOUNT 742,523,253.83
In another worksheet, is there a way to look at the whole worksheet for column A in receipt to say:
if 1.1 is true, capture text to the right of 'NET_AMOUNT' then format using =Dollar?
Dynamically Adding And Removing Checkbox - Linked Cells
Sep 15, 2014I have problems with dynamically adding and removing checkboxes. I have a form and there is a button to add more rows to the table. Every row includes a checkbox too.
So first i add a row, and then add a checkbox to a specified cell in that row.There is a button for removing rows as well (witch should removes checkboxes as well).
My problem is when i ad the checkbox the linked cell property only works for the first one.When i add the second row the linked cell of the firstly added checkbox changes to the one in the new row and the new checkbox has no linked cell. I am adding the stuffs as follows:

Dynamically Updating Range Of Cells Via Dropdown Menu
Apr 20, 2009I'm hoping this is a simple question someone might help clear up for me.
I've defined a few cell ranges on a worksheet (in my example I've defined their names as site1, site2, site3, site4, site5). All these ranges are identical in # of columns and rows.
On a separate worksheet, I'm trying to display a single named range, depending on the value in a dropdown menu.
In my example, I have a pulldown menu with the following items: site1, site2, site3, site4, site5 (mirroring the named cell ranges). I'd like to display one of these ranges, depending on which name is selected in the dropdown.

I need to search for all words "table" even if the word is "My_table" or "aTable" and suck them into one column. I have to do this one several words.

Apr 23, 2009I have a rather large amount of data that comes to me very frequently in a bit of a mess and I have a need to somehow do the following:
I need to look for a cell that has date text in the format of 3 characters for the month followed by a four digit year i.e.Apr 2009 or Sep 2009 along with one marked YTD.
The cell then needs to be merged with the 2 adjoining cells to the right.
This heading structure repeats itself frequently over about 700 hundred rows so it will need to repeat itself until all date looking cells and YTD's have been merged with the 2 adjoing cells.

Jul 30, 2007I want to make a report wherein the macro has to merge cells based on duplicate cell values in column A and to put corresponding data in columns into one cell which we do manually by pressing ALT+Enter.
How this can be done through a macro or other tricks as I need it for a large report and need to use repeatedly.

Feb 9, 2010this is my first post in this great forum. let me start talking about what I need, I used to convert some statement from PDF to XLS format for my work purpose. sometimes I am facing a problem that some text in the statement will come in more than one row, actually I need it to come in one cell but it is coming in several rows that mean, if I want to sort or filter my data, I will lose some important data. What do I want???
I want a macro to merge the contents of selected cells and put it in the first cell of the selected cells then clear the other cells. I will use this macro for the following cases: Case 1- assume we have this data in any sheet.
B1=How
C1=are
D1=you? ( all without any space )
after selecting the said cells and applying this macro, the result will be:
B1=How are you? ( one space only between the content of the selected cells )
C1=D1=empty
