Efficiently Deal With #N/A Error

In the attached work book I have 2 sheets named, Data Entering page-plan and Varaince Summary-in hours.
Data Entering page-plan - is used to enter data
Varaince Summary-in hours. is used to retrieve data
In Varaince Summary-in hours. sheet in Cell A6 I have a drop down to select the job nos, according to the job no selected date, position no, and milling hours are filtered and displayed. I have written a index/match formula in G6 and have dragged it downwards since I dont know how many positions would be fetched in each job no selected. Is there any way not to display N/A in unused cells in Column G each time a job no is selected ?( embedding the function in a IF using ISNA or ISERROR would be inefficient as I feel since this sheet is going to house lot of data of about 30 sections, I have shown only one section here)

I have a spreadsheet that has a AGE column. The function was put in the top cell and after listing pulled down to automatically get the right cell indicators in the formule. I have 1000 rows on the spreadsheet and i should for see adleast a other 1000. The issue is as follow or better the question, how do i hide de #VALUE in de cells were there is no DOB yet? Since i put in the empthy rows in the DOB column / / i do get the #VALUE there where the DOB will come. Hoe can i solve this issue and make the additional rows still availeble for futher usage.

I am extracting data from an electronic medical record (EMR) which has many search limitations. I am able to export data into a CSV file (attached) to perform some calculations (All the patient data is fake btw). I am trying to find the number of appointments for each patient within a specific date parameter. For each patient, one appointment appears on one row.

What I want to do is count the number of rows (appointments) for each patient in an efficient manner. Right now I've just used the COUNTA function, but don't want to repeat this for every patient, due to the way that the workbook is set up. The data is all from the CSV file from the EMR; the only column I've added is the "Appointments since 2013" column.
The patient data is fake because I am using a test server for the EMR. However out in a real doctor's office, there will be over 2000 patients with possibly up to about 100+ appointments.
Not sure if there's formula out there that would make my task a lot easier and more efficient, or I need to play around with the columns to set it up differently.

I have a large number of files that are structurally the same - only the data and the file names are different. I want to insert some code into all of them.
I don't yet know how to open all the VBA pieces together at one time for editing. Is that possible? Otherwise all I know how to do is a manual, file by file, process.

I've managed to clean up my code removing all of the selecting to get the macro to run faster but it seems to slow down when it gets to the page setup. Is it because of the ActiveSheet? Is there a better way to code the following?

I have a two workbooks, one which is a daily schedule and the other is a yearly summary. The worksheet in the yearly summary uses a date in the first column and the daily sheets each have a date on them. I've isolated my data in the daily schedule and I've retrieved the date in its numerical equivilant. I have data that is 6 cells wide by "x" amount deep on any given day. Essentially, I schedule different things to be made and each row has that designation, process, dimensions, quantity, etc.
I want to test the contents of the first cell in the array, copy the pertinent data, switch to the proper worksheet, and paste it into the line where it goes. I believe I need to check a few cells to narrow down exactly which group of cells on which sheet they would be copied to.
I am not trained at all as far as programming goes, but I've been practicing for a few years now. What I am just going to start doing is testing the cells in the rows in the array of data and trying to divide it out that way. This just seems like the long way around.

I've got a worksheet that deals with dates and time. Similar to a checkbook, I need to take the balance and subtract what's taken from that. But the writer copied this from another software program and it's in this format. How do I convert it to a time format? Or is that what I really need? Right now the taken and balance are both in a general format.
I just need to know on any of the given days what the balance of this person's time was in hours and minutes.

I have a list of deals at current this is 500 odd cells long and increases every week
What i was doing was using a VLOOKUP to give me the details of the deal.
The problem with this is as follows
The deal ID was in column M,
What i was doing was copying the Deal Id and putting this into column A and then doing a vlookup.
What ive just realised is that this wont do what i need.
What this will do is return the value of the deal but only if the deal ID is matched in both Column A and M to give me the correct information.
Is there any way possible i can put in a deal ID, that will search the spreedsheet of all deals and return me all of the inforamtion of that deal

I have text with line breaks in a cell for example:
A1 =
Multiple
App1
App2
App3
App4
App5
When I reference this cell for example in B1 (=A1) the line break list merges together and adds a square (LBC) where the line break is meant to be as follows:
Multiple LBC App1 LBC App2 LBC App3 LBC
Is there a formula that can look at cell A1 and split the lines out so that both A1 and B1 look identical not merged together?

The report that I am trying to build relies on DCOUNTA formulas.
This report has 200 lines and 200 columns approximately. Each of these cells would be a DCOUNTA formula. I have a separate sheet, 'Criteria', where I intend to describe all of my criteria for the DCOUNTA formulas.
My problem is that for each DCOUNTA cell in my report, I have to create 2 rows and 5 columns worth of criteria information... so, for 40,000 cells to populate, I need to create a huge sheet of criteria.
So, while I could do the above, and it would take me some time, more efficient and elegant way to spend my time in order to get this report display DCOUNTA formulas?
For more context, I am trying to present information for 100 individual salespeople, monthly and year to date. For each cell, I need to tell DCOUNTA that the date needs to be comprised in the current period (2 columns), what the name of the salespeople is, and what the nature of the information is, which could be more than 2 additional columns.
I can to some degree autofill most of this, with some OFFSET magic, but its still feels like an ugly way to achieve my objective.

I m trying to write a formula for my financial model. If anyone can take a stab at a solution. I'm trying to write a formula that will equally distribute revenue either over the next 1 month, 2 month or 3 month period depending on size of the deal.
Details:
Sales will fit in 1 of 3 categories. Less than 25k; between 25k & 100k; greater than 100k.
- if under $25K, recognize in next month (month N+ 1)
- $25K-100K, recognize in two equal parts in months N + 1 and N + 2
- over $100K, recognize in three equal parts over 3 months
N + 1, N + 2, N + 3 ...

see attached example. I am trying to write an error detection routine that iterates through worksheets that have numeric values for names (ignore text names or alphanumeric). Macro checks range on each numeric worksheet E3:E33 and is supposed to report back on the SummarySheet if any value other than 1 or 0 is found in range E3:E33 on any numeric-name worksheet. Code as follows:

Problem is that it just reports EVERY worksheet as having an error when clearly most don't (none do I think in the attached example).
Try changing some of ranges E3:E33 to values other than 1 or 0, it still reports all sheets. Why the macro does not evaluate the range E3:E33 properly and just reports every worksheet as having an error?

See the attached sheet. I am trying to add together two figs which are linked to calculations which have formula built in to stop error messages when there is a 0 / 0 = #value type error. However when these two cells are added, if the cells are blank I get an error message. And if only one cell has a value, I get "" with my existing formula. what I need to do to get a result of 7 if for example cell A4 = "" + B4 =7. At the moment my formula shows "" in the sum total of these cells

OK, so I have a userform with some text boxes that I have specially formatted to accept only date values in the form of mm/dd/yy. By default they are blank. I have a check in one of my codes that looks like this

Where DateBox is this specially formatted TextBox and checkdate is a future date being checked against.So if DateBox has a value in it AND that value is greater than the date being checked against the returend string is Neoprene, otherwise it is blank.
Well the problem I have is when the first condition returns FALSE, i.e. when DateBox is empty, the DateValue half still gets evaluated and returns a type missmatch error or something like that because DateValue("") returns an error. I have line of code 8 times, one for Neoprene, squeegee, etc. So the name of the text boxes are each unique and I am using M1, M2, M3, etc.
For other reasons, use of "On Error Resume Next" doesn't work for this situation because it causes a result opposite to what I want to happen.

the if stattement works perfectly and does exactly what i want except when it comes to the else part. if there is no error the statements are run perfectly but if there is an error (in this case the error is generated when a match cannot be found in the spreadsheet) the else statement doesnt kick in and post the msgbox.
the code just crashes. and returns an error 1004 on the line i have highlighted in yellow

So the issue I am having is that I have a worksheet with two long rows of value. If the user enters the incorrect value, the program gives a error case of 1004. If and when this error occurs I want the program to send a MessageBox to the user then end the program. The problem that I am running into is that whenever I write On Error Goto... It Goes to the label whenever any runtime error occurs. My belief is that there has to be a way to only check for a runtime error on a single line of code rather than the entire sub.

I have written a Excel (2003) that searches a worksheet for a string in any cell. If the string is not found, it uses the 'On Error GoTo' command to jump to a given label. It works fine on the first string not found. When it searches for the next non-existent string, it fails with:
'Run-time error '91':
Object variable or With block variable not set'
Do I have to clear a buffer after each cells.find search?

I am looking for a more efficient way to write a macro (a sample from the macro is below). This is just the first part of the macro. I need to repeat these same steps (seen for row 5 below) for rows 5 to 50. My script worked until I hit row 35 and then I got the "compile error.." message. There must be a way to use "loop" to write this more efficiently, no?

whether I can handle errors in a way that tells me which object caused the error?
For example if a userform has two combobox's and one causes an error, can I return to a message box containing the name of the object (combobox1 or combobox2)?
I have tried returning err.source but I am either not using it correctly or it isn't intended to be used this way.

the spreadsheet needs to be copied to a directory called "C:downloads" as it contains a ODBC query to itself (In reality, this is a query to an External Oracle Database)
On loading, it should pop up a simple userform, with a combo and two command buttons, which when pressed takes you to a (hidden) tab that displays a pivottable.
All works well until I try to close /save when 60% of the time, Excel encounters problems and closes and will not load up the file the next time until either quit excel or disable macros. Messages include "file/path access error", "I/O Error" or get restarts excel.
On a casual run through, I expect you might report back that "All worked ok for me". Please can you give it a bit of a thrashing, comment out the userform show, save the file (frequently) becuase i assure you it will break ultimately!
This is a brand-new file and I've tried it on about 5 different PC running different versions of Excel and generally get the same result.

I have a very simple spreadsheet that generates a "backing page" for items to be physically pasted to (essentially nothing more than printing a header). I have the following code under "This Workbook" to avoid being prompted to save changes when closing, as this spreadsheet is just a template and changes should not be saved...

The code does as is intended, but, if any other spreadsheets are open at the same time, I get an error message pop-up saying "EXCEL has encountered an error - an error log has been generated"... Excel then shuts down. So, first question; where should I look for the error log?

Before I go into details I am working in one workbook with several worksheets(Tabs) in the workbook. I have three Buttons on one tab. the button I am having trouble with is the third. I want to insert a column in a separate tab that contains approximately 87,000 rows of data. I then want to do a row count and select the empty cells in the inserted column and put a formula in there. I have tried a loop VBA code and it works, but it takes about 30 minutes to run all the way through. The underlined portion is what is higlighted with error 1004: Application-defined ro object-defined error. I am not sure how to fix this. This is what I have now:
