Filter Values Based On Master And Input List

I am trying to copy a spreadsheet i made in google docs in excel keeping the same functionality. Since the formulas are a bit different between the two, i can not simply copy the codes so i must start from scratch. The basics of my spreadsheet is that i have (3) columns: A master list, A filtered list, and an input list. I want the filtered list to change based on the values in the inputted list.

ColA = Input list
ColB = Filtered list
ColC = Master list

Items:
Orange
Red
Blue
Yellow
Green

ColA contains the colors i manually enter
ColB contains all the items in ColC that are NOT already listed in ColA (except for Red, i dont what that showing up)
ColC contains ALL the items above.

Two Examples of a functional worksheet:

ColA............ColB
Orange........Blue
Green..........Yellow
ColA........ColB
Orange....Blue
.............Yellow
.............Green

ColB is where the magic happens, it grows and shrinks based on the values in both the master list ColC and the input list ColA

Excel 2010 :: Input Multiple Cells Based On Master Cell?

I am trying to create a UserForm in Excel 2010 that will look for a part from our database (or on a specific Sheet, possibly a hidden sheet), then add specific data from that part's row into a new line.

More Specifically:

| Part # | Description | Category | SubCategory | Cost | Labor Hours | Weight | Etc |

I want to be able to input the Part #, and have it automatically add specified information to sheets 1 and 2 and those two differ. 1 is our Quote Sheet, and 2 is our bill of materials.

Also, I need each piece of information to go to a specific column (ex. Cost always goes to Column K)

What I have now is a broken UserForm that references a DOC file with a Table, but I need something a good but more complex.

Ideally, what I want is to have 4 ListBoxes where you choose Category --> SubCategory --> Make --> Model then have several CheckBoxes below that would determine whether to add a part (Cost, Labor, Weight).

The reason for this is because we have no need for the Cost or Labor Hours in our Bill of Materials, but need that information for our Quotes. And we generally don't need Specific Dimensions in our Quotes, but DO need them in the Bill of Materials...

Can I make it so that it will insert Pre-Specified information into both sheets at the same time?

Filter From Workbook Based On User Input Form

I need to filter data based on criteria based on user input form that is in another workbook. For example, I have a list of departments, I want to create a userform for the user to enter department number and then have excel filter only the data belonging to that department. The person will then update the department records and save the file.

Auto Filter Based On User Input With Multiple Choices

I have here an example of how I might extract data from a source workbook and paste it onto a template workbook, using autofilter to find the rows that are needed. It is currently set-up to take rows that match "AREA 1" or "AREA 2" in column A, along with a number of other criteria in other columns.

What I want to do is add into this macro, a way for the user to be able to choose the filter options will be used for column A of the source workbook. So if they want only "AREA 1", they can choose just that, or if they want "AREA 2", or perhaps both "AREA 1" & "AREA 2", or further additional options. They need to be able to specify just one, multiple, or all of the filter options with regards to column A of the source data.

In effect what I need is a user input box or form with a dropdown menu that will give the filter choices based on column A of the source data, and then for the code that copies the data across, to do so based on which choices the user makes in the filter menu of the input box.

I have uploaded examples of the source data workbook and the target template workbook. The macro exists within the template workbook.

Collecting Unique Values Of Multiple Ranges Into One Master List

I gather two lists of serial numbers (i.e.) from two different sources; one populated in sheet1, A:A (with variable row numbers) and the other in sheet2 B:B (again with varying number of rows)

I am trying to gather a master list of unique serial numbers in sheet3, C:C.

So far I have tried advanced filter, union.range, etc. but couldn't figure work it. I guess some of these columns need to have names assigned to it and have a header.

Remove Matching Items From A Workbook Based On A Master List

I have Workbook A populated with skus from a report and I want to remove all rows in this workbook that do not have a matching sku in Workbook B. Each workbook contains only one sheet and the skus are in column 1 of both workbooks.

Also, I am looking for a good resource/tutorial for working with workbooks, worksheets and ranges within. I don't anticipate this being the last time I will be confronted with this and would like to learn more.

Macro To Auto-Copy Entire Row From Master To Worksheet Based On Column Values

I have an Excel database of department contracts with a Master worksheet. I have created a worksheet tab for each of the departments. Column G has a dropdown list for each department. When I enter a new contract onto the Master I want it to auto copy to the coordinating worksheet based on the selected department.

If possible I would also like it to enter the newest contract would enter into the coordinating Contract Party entered into column D. (ie... If Hospital A is entered in column D on master, the new entry on the worksheet being copied to will be entered under the last Hospital A, if Hospital B is entered on Master it copies under Hospital B). If this isn't possible then I am not too worried about that part.

basically i have a macro to filter a lot of data based on peoples names but the people keep changing so I dont want to go into VBA each time to update the name list int he macro.I've created a list of names in a sheet in excel but not sure how to point the macro to filtering by that instead, heres what I have:

I have a spread sheet that has three sheets, PROJECTS - TIMES - LISTS Time sheet.xlsx PROJECTS contains a list of 'In Progress' and 'completed' projects for work, with relevant other data, I.e. PROJECT No. / STATUS etc This will grow to 1,000's of rows TIMES will contain the amount of time a person spends on a PROJECT on a daily basis. This will grow to 10,000's of rows LISTS contain basic validation list for the first 2 sheets.

Part A
I would like to have a validation drop down list for the PROJECT NO column in the TIMES sheet that only lists the PROJECT NO from the PROJECTS sheet where STATUS <> COMPLETED. I.e. I only want to display the PROJECT NO's for current projects.

Part B
Even though I only want the PROJECT NO used, can the drop down list also contain other column's data for reference information only before one is selected.

Is it possible to set up the second level of a report filter based on the value of the first report filter. I have a pivot table that needs two report filters: first is the location and the second is the department. What I want to do is have the user be able to select the location and then only show valid departments for that location. I know that this is possible if I set up a form and have the second field be a query against the first. I can create a calculated field but I cannot put that in the report filter area.

I have lot of data in three columns like this. The first column is "Name", the second is "Comment" wherein I want the macro to write some comment, the third one is DOB. The problem is that the names in column 1 repeats many times. I want a macro to write in column B "either Old or Older or Oldest" based on the Name and DOB. Thus David with DOB 13 Sep 1982 be marked Oldest in Column B and David with DOB 25 Aug 1988 be marked Older and David with DOB 24 May 1990 be marked Old. Similarly William and Rita should be marked either old or older or oldest. As the data are enormous I do not want to refer the actual name in the programming. I want to call them using a variable in programming.

On a first sheet, I have a list of cities where physicians travel along with an autofilter. On that same worksheet, I have a cell where users can input a zipcode.

On a second (hidden) sheet, a function calculates and displays in column F the distance in miles between the user-input zip code and all the cities in 4 states. The cities are listed in column D.

I need to filter all the cities on the first sheet (the ones where the docs travel) based on their distance from the user-input zipcode - namely all the cities located less than 150 miles from that zipcode.

I want to create a macro that creates a new .xlsx document based on cell values. And input 4 tabs into each document with specified tab names. I have a document that pulls from external sources and fluctuates with amount of data per day. I envision something that will make a new document named for the contents in cell A1, then function as a control+down to create a new document for A2, then A3 until there is no content left (should mention these are lookup formulas, and if there is no data it pulls a value of "0")

Is there a way to put in the code, the tab names it would create in each new document, or would that have to look to a cell value for the naming? The tab names would be "GS", "MYSS", "COLL SHEET", and "WIRE".

Filtering A List In A New Worksheet From A Master List

I am trying to create a sub-list from a master list based on a column criteria.
Basically, we have a large group of people that are now being split into 3 different sub groups, but still part of the whole. I would like to only upkeep the master list by assigning one of 3 managers to each employee and then having Excel place the employee's info (5 columns) into a seperate worksheet based on the manager assigned (3 seperate worksheets, one for each manager). I have searched through books and Excel help, but still cannot find any formula that can return multiple lines based on one criteria. Am I out of luck and forced to maintain this database with an Auto Filter and manually moving/copying the info?

I'm trying to create a drop down list which returns values based on what has been selected in the previous drop down list in the adjacent cell, e.g. if 'Apples' is selected in the previous cell then you should only be able to select from 'Gala, Granny Smith', or if 'Oranges' is selected you should only be able to select 'Seville, Blood Orange'. Is there a formula which would do this, or can I use a pivot table somehow? I'm totally stumped.

I want to tie the values of some cells on Sheet 2 to what's put in into corresponding cells on Sheet 1. Example

If Cell B3 on Sheet 1 has the string "B off" put in, Sheet 2 should automatically get "R1" in cell B12, "B off" in cell C12 and "ID123456" in cell D12. If cell B3 on Sheet 1 is empty, B12:D12 should be blank.
