Find First Blank Cell In Column & Return Adjacent Date Less Than Or Equal To Today
Apr 4, 2008
how to make the data look like a table with three columns. Other than the date, it is space delimited. I have a tracking spreadsheet where Column A is populated with dates for the year. Column C contains daily values.
I don't always start entering daily values on the first day of the year, e.g., this year the first value in Column C corresponds to March 9. All values in Column C are contiguous - there are no blank cells until the value in Column A is greater than today's date code. I would like to use a formula (rather than VBA) to look down Column C and find the first non-blank entry where the value in Column A is less than or equal to today(). In this case, the formula should return the value for March 9, 2008.
CREATE TABLES LIKE BELOW?Column A Column B Column C
March 1, 2008Saturday
March 2, 2008Sunday
March 3, 2008Monday
March 4, 2008Tuesday
March 5, 2008Wednesday ...................
I have a spreadsheet with a column A of dates April 08, May 08, June 08 etc. Adjacent to each of these dates is a value in column B. I want to select the appropriate value relevent to the current date and use it elsewhere. Therefore if it happens to be Oct 08 when I open the spreadsheet I want the value in column B, adjacent to Oct 08 to be represented.
Using one spreadsheet with three date columns and two columns counting days.
If there is a value in Resolution date, then Column N is blank If there is no value in Submit date and Resolution date, then Column N is blank If there is no value in Resolution date, and there is a value in Submit date, subtract Submit date from todays date to show how many days it has been pending approval
Created on = J4 Submitted on = K4 Resolution Date = L4 Days to Approve = M4 I've got that formula =IF(L4="","",L4-K4) Days Pending Approval= N4 (cell with formula)
If Resoultion Date L4 has a value, return blank If Submit on K4 and Resoultion date L4 are blank, return blank If Resolution date L4 is blank, and Submit on K4 has a value, subtract Todays date from Submit on K4 to show Days Pending Approval
Cell J4______Cell K4______Cell L4__________Cell M4__________Cell N4 Created on___Submit On___Resolution Date___Days to Approve___Days Pending Approval 4/5/13_______blank______Blank____________Blank___________Blank 4/5/13_______4/5/13_____4/7/13___________2_______________Blank 4/5/13_______4/5/13_____Blank____________Blank___________()Today-K4
I'd like all Cells in column AC (e.g. AC$3$:AC$517$) to be filled with yellow fill if the cell value is any date greater than or equal to today. Any past dates can be left blank (for now)
I have a spread sheet for equipment that gets loaned out on a regular basis. Cells B4 - B25 have combo boxes in them, with the options to select "On Loan", "In Stock Room" etc in them. What I would like to do is create something so that as the combo box is changed, i.e. from "In Stock" to "On Loan", a date changes adjacent to each combo box.
For example, combo box in B10 has been changed from "In Stock" to "On Loan". The adjacent cell records the date automatically that the combo box was changed.
I have a drop down list in a merged cell B12-F12 and B13-F13 and B14-F14 . . . B30-F30.
I need the adjacent merged cell to populate a reason (text) based on the text answer in the drop down list or the entered text in the first merged cell. For example in the cell B12-F12 the user picks from the list or types in "Amiodarone." I want the adjacent merged cell G12-J12to automatically fill with "Heart Rhythm." I also want to be able to set up multiple if - them statements like if Amiodarone is entered then fill adjacent cell with Heart Rhythm and if Toprol XL then fill adjacent cell with Heart / Blood pressure and if simvastatin then fill adjacent cell with Cholesterol, etc. I have about 30 different options for cell 1 that I want to have auto fill in cell 2 based on the contents of cell 1. I've attached my file.
I want the user to be able to choose from the list or type the drug name in.
I have this table, which can be seen as a basic custom gantt chart: KLRWo.png
And I would like to fill the A column with start dates, based on the first filled cell of the range on the same row, and the header value of its respective column (row 1). It's easier to show my expected result than write it actually:
I have are two worksheets, "Sheet 1" which is a bill of lading form and "Sheet 2," in which columns A and B contain Part Numbers and Weights respectively.
What I'm wanting to have happen is when a user inputs a part number into Sheet 1 (say in cell B6), it calls a UDF that looks up the part number on sheet two column A and returns the corresponding weight from column B (to say cell C6 on sheet 1).
I would like to highlight (conditional format) the "response required by" (Row A) cells / dates if the "current date" (cell $B$2) is exceeded AND if the "response provided By" (Row B) remains BLANK:
I am working in excel 2010. I have a tracking document that lists free tickets and their expiry dates. In the adjacent columns we track redemption details of these free tickets. What I want to do is return the oldest expiration date from A only if the ticket has not been used (i.e. B is empty). This will allow me to see the date the upcoming tickets about to expire so we can make sure they are used.
A________________B Expiry Date________Redeemed by 15/08/2014 15/02/2014 15/08/2014________John 15/02/2010________Marc 15/02/2011________Bob
I have a formula in my spreadsheet that shows dates for servicing of products. Column F show's Date Last Serviced and the adjacent column (G) then shows Date Next Service. When there is nothing on the F column's cell then the date that appears on my spreadsheet is 31/12/00. It looks messy and I would rather have a formula to make it so that if the F column is blank, then the adjacent cell in G column should stay blank also.
To automatically calculate the next service due date, I have variants of this formula that creates the dates in G column:
vouchers column is populated with a voucher code for every date date column is populated with dates beginning with today, ending with the last day of the year.
I would like to create a function that evaluates the date file, If date = today's date, return value in the adjacent vouchers column.
I have a list of dates in column AF. I would like to retrieve a value from the 2nd occurrence of a date, so I used the function for the Nth Occurrence on this website as follows:
Function Nth_Occurrence(range_look As Range, find_it As String, _ occurrence As Long, offset_row As Long, offset_col As Long) Dim lCount As Long Dim rFound As Range Set rFound = range_look.Cells(1, 1) For lCount = 1 To occurrence Set rFound = range_look. Find(find_it, rFound, xlValues, xlWhole) Next lCount Nth_Occurrence = rFound.Offset(offset_row, offset_col) End Function
The excel formula I am using is as follows: =Nth_Occurrence(AF2:AF622,AE2,2,0,1) Where AE2 is the date I am looking up. My question is this: When I put in a date ("1/12/2007") instead of AE2, i get the correct value. I tried giving AE2 and the AF column the same date formatting (3/14/2001), but this doesn't work. The date I am searching for also changes, so I cannot just type the date into the excel formula.
I'd like a macro that cycles down 50000 rows of column B. If it comes across a blank cell it will import the value from its adjacent cell in column A. then the macro will move onto the next cell.
I have made the macro that does as ,soon as i open the file, select today's date but only if date is in sheet5... sheet 5 is may so it works. Doing the same job for every sheet in the file.
I have a date range, containing blanks and values. I need a function to show the earliest date that contains a non-blank value. The function should be robust enough that I can sort by date and still show the correct data.
I have a listbox that has row and columns. The rows are combinations of options and the columns are Additives.
After selecting a row in Listbox1, (first column are names) i would like the value of the second column to goto a specific area.... find that value and in the cell to the right of it place a "Y". The "Y" would indicate that "yes" it was part of the selection row of the listbox. Same for third column, forth, fifth and sixth. The result from the listbox is a number of Y's and N's in the result page. Then making all that were not part of selected line and equal to "N" to hide row (height = to zero).
Listbox and expected result are in attached example worksheet.
The attached does show the need much better then I can explain it.
spreadsheet 1: Lookup from Order numbers listed from A5:A177. requested formula in I5: I would like a lookup to sheet 2 based on the order number (F19:F191), to return the cell above the first non-blank value.
spreadsheet 2: Lookup value:Order number listed from F19:F191. Data search:AY19:CI191 return the (date) which is in the range above the data search from row AY18:CI18.
I've had a look at few forums but i'm getting mixed responses, having to use index / match / lookup / min / --.
I have a sheet in Excel 2004 for Mac that is a patient list with over 2000 patients. I need a rule that will compare values (patient IDs and responsible party ID) in two adjacent cells, if the values are different, to delete the entire row. The goal is to get rid of patients (rows) that are not the responsible party (responsible party ID).
I am trying to find the difference between two dates.
Column B consists of date (oldest to latest), Column C to Column P consists of data, I have entered formula in Column Q to get value if the conditions are met, else the cells will remain blank (but those cells contains formula)
For eg: =IF(C4395=1,J4395,"")
There are thousands of ROWS in the worksheet.
I need to find last value in the Column Q, corresponding date (assuming if the last value is in Q4395, I want it's corresponding date which is in Column B) and finding the difference between today and that found date. All these put together in one formula.
I managed to get last value in the column by using this formula, but I couldn't get it's corresponding date.
I have one column that contains an If statement formula and would like the next column to then work off of the first column (i.e. if that 1st column returns a value then then adjacent column uses that result).
What is happening now is that it is returning #value (because I guess technically the cell isn't blank?)
I cells B5:B15 I have a list of dates from last year. I need a formula that I can put in cell D5 that gives me the date that is closest to the same day last year.
Example:
If today is 4/9/14
and
From B5:B15 there were the following dates: 3/12/13 3/19/13 3/29/13 4/5/13 4/8/13 4/12/13 5/6/13 5/29/13
Cell D5 would contain
4/8/13 since it is the date closet to same day last year.
On Pipe worksheet, pipe numbers 1-203 are listed in column A. Each pipe number has a flow rate that is listed in column E. I need it to look up the pipe number in column A on the Job worksheet and report the flow rate (from the Pipe worksheet) in column D for each pipe.
Want to look in one column and find the first non-blank numerical value, then have it return a value from another column.
Used to nest multiple IF functions together from different cells, but it seems overly complicated and time consuming. Sometimes I have over 30 cells to check.
For example, if Column A contains weekly sales data by week, entered weekly, and Column E has corresponding comparison data from the previous year. I want to enter a formula to check the first row that has sales data entered and have it match up the comparison value in the other column.
I am trying to figure out how to return the contents of last non blank cell in column B, based on the name in column A. So, if I choose "Sam", the result I am looking for is "blue". If I choose "Pete", the result I am looking for is "orange".
