Generate And Populate Email From Excel Spreadsheet?
Mar 10, 2014
I have a spreadsheet that contains an email address (Each row will most likley have the same email address but there are occasions when it could be different). Ideally I want a button that when clicked will open up an email, popoulate it with the persons email (that is in a specific column and row), add a subject and some text to the main body of the email and then attach the spreadhseet itself.
I am looking for Excel to auto generate an email (to myself) when the following happens:
Basically, I have products with promotions which each have a start and end date. I have an excel sheet which we manually enter the promotions start and end dates into. I have a seperate column which has a basic formula to indicate the days remaining until the promotion comes to an end.
I would like excel to automatically send me an email to notify me when the promotion is due to end one week in advance.
So I will have a column which effectively shows the days remaining (number) until the promotion ends, when this number hits 7, I would like the email to be sent to myself stating (Model number XYZ. Promo ending soon).
I am using the following piece of VBA code in Excel 2007 to automatically generate an email when a button is pushed:
Sub SendEMail() Dim Email As String, Subj As String Dim Msg As String, URL As String Dim r As Integer, x As Double r = ActiveCell.Row 'Get the email address Email = Cells(r, 3)
[Code] .....
The button to launch this code sits in cell AK7. What I would like to do is have the macro copy the email address present in cell E7 into the email address section of my created email. In addition I would like the reference provided in cell AJ7 to appear in the Message Subject part of the generated email in the format " RCS Reference contents of cell AJ7".
I would like to generate a blank email with a list of recipients (no more than 40) in the 'To' field. I would like to do this in a single click on a cell with the text 'newsletter group' in it (cell B17). The recipients email addresses are in the format of one complete email address per cell in a column starting at C17 (C17, C18, C19, etc...). I thought I had found a way to do this (using the hyperlink function I think, but can't quite remember)but it turned out you could only string together about 8 email address before the function stopped working.
Also just to be clear, I don't want to send the workbook to the recipients.
I need to generate a microsoft word document from the data encoded in my excel spreadsheet. I am currently using MS office 2007.
in the Excel Spreadsheet from columns C to F "a) b) c) d)" was not typed but in the word document it automatically appears before the choices encoded in excel. Another thing is that some of the choices typed in the excel spreadsheet are in bold font and I want it to be generated in word document with the bold font as well.
By the way I am planning to use this technique to create a 100 item multiple choice exam for my students as I find using EXCEL to generate the document a lot easier than creating the test manually in WORD.
I have a word template that gives a popup when started for the user to fill out. At present this is okay, but it is hard to maintain. So what I want is to be able to add all needed information in Excel - since our tools have the possibility to export my needed info to this.
I have a spreadsheet in Excel 2010 named 'Input TR'. This info I want in the popup macro in word. When choosing name from a dropdown menu - I want Excel to give me the choices instead of having it in the coded macro. After I have choosen the name - I want the product belonging for this name in the 'Product/Service:' dropdown menu, e.g Test 1 will give the value 1...5. (I will only be able to choose one of them)
Today - everything is coded in the word2010 macro, and thus difficult to maintain.
I'm trying to get some vba to automatically find the range of data in a spreadsheet (So start from a specified point and loop until it's blank) and populate a combobox with this range accordingly. I have read numerous articles and posts but nothing seems to work!!
I have attached a document paralleling a document I am working on. The dollar amount in each spreadsheet represent sales. I have entered in values into the candy, soda, and chips spreadsheet. I have also linked values for candy into the total spreadsheet. My question is can I somehow type something or drag the formula down to populate the other cells in the total spreadsheet?
The idea I am thinking but which I don't know how to implement is to list all the items (as in column G) and list all of the relevant cells (e.g. B1 in the Candy spreadsheet) as in columns H and I (Note that all items will have the same cells but the cells will have different values...e.g. all three items have a cell B1 and B2 in their spreadsheet but these cells contain different values). I then try and fail to create a formula in cell B3 of the Total spreadsheet. I am trying to create a formula of the following nature:
='(Spreadsheet Name From Column G)'!(Cell Name From Columns H and I)
The Second half of the formula doesn't really concern me (i.e. the cell name from column H and I). However I am perplexed as to how to achieve the goal in the first parentheses above.
I have a Main Customer Spreadsheet. I want to Auto Populate FROM the Main Customer Spreadsheet to a New Spreadsheet. I want to be able to key in a customer name on the New Spreadsheet and take the info for that customer from the MAIN Spreadsheet and fill in the blanks. I need to be able to do this several times a day.
I need to send out an order form (spreadsheet) to 100's of people that need to complete the form and email back to me as an attachment. If I was completing the order form myself I would use the "email" icon that I have pinned to my Quick Access Toolbar (QAT). However, most of the recipients don't even know the Toolbar exists.
Is there a way I can insert an icon / hyperlink in the spreadsheet that does the same thing as the QAT icon. I can insert text to say "click here to email your order" (or similar).
I need to keep it in an excel format and an icon is so much better that asking them to save to their hard-drive and attach to an email, etc.
The QAT icon is exactly what is needed but I need to provide a spreadsheet that works for folk who haven't got the icon.
I have two spreadsheets of data I export regularly from an outside source. I want to consolidate the data from these two sheets into one large sheet with all the data in a more concise form bringing in only the data related to certain parts I am conducting analysis on. I have a list of these parts already. My first thought on how to do this would be to use the list in an entry for an input box and have that list be the index for a for loop in which i searched for a part code, copied the entire corresponding row, and pasted it back into the master sheet. I have gone through and tried to do this but I am running into problems because sometimes I have multiple rows of data that correspond to a single part number. I have attached a template of the way that the data should look in the master file with the multiple rows of details that correspond to just one part entry.
I am using Excel 2010. I have been given a task at work that can save my team a lot of time if I can solve the problem. Every month, we have a spreadsheet with about 5000 rows that we have to email. In each row, there is a range that we have to email to a specific email. For example, I would have to copy and paste Range A2-R2 in the body of the email, and then email it to whatever email is in cell S2. I would then continue this for the next 5000 lines, making it a possibility that i will be sending 5000 emails manually.
I have been trying to come up with a solution through VBA that would automatically send these emails. My goal is to automatically send the Range A2-R2 to outlook email, then cell S2 into the "To" email address box, and then automatically send it. So far, i have successfully been able to send one row, but cannot figure out how to loop it for the remainder of the rows.
A couple other key points are that I have column headings as well (Range A1-R1). If possible, I want to be able to include the column headings in the email body as well. Example - first email would be range A1-R2. second email would be range A1-R1 and A3-R3, and so forth. The body of the email would also contain a standard script, such as "Please review the information below."
The goal here is to save everyone from having to send 5000+ manual emails. This would be a big boost for my team.
I made a button in excel that when pressed automatically pops up a outlook email window with the excel file attached to it and written information that i want in the emal.
is it possible for me to have data from certain cells in excel populate automatically in the outlook email when i press the button to have the email popup?
what i would do is have certain words from some cells in excel fill in some blanks in a paragraph i have in the email that pops up when i press a button in excel is this possible of so how can i do it?
i am trying to say i will paste the VB code i have that allows me to have outlook email pop up with information i have in the email....
I'm running a Ron DeBruin's mail routine to copy and send a spreadsheet. The code I'm using is below. The problem is the source spreadsheet contains cells with more than 255 characters, and so that information is being truncated when the sheet is copied. I'm sure there's any easy fix for this, but I haven't been able to find it. Here's my code:
We know that professional emails have a fixed format. I have a list of people with their names and emails and there are some people for which emails are missing. I am pasting my sample data below. But first let me explain the meaning of columns.
Column A: Means full name of the person for which we have email id Column B & C: just split of Available full name into first name and last name Column D: Email id of the person with full name in column A Column E: For the names in this column, we need to get email ids Column H: Sample result
Now basis on the Full Name(Column A) and Email Id(Column D) can we get the email id for person in Column E.
Sheet4 A B C D E F G H
1 Available Full Name Available FirstName Available LastName Email for available full name Actual Full name Actual firstname Actual lastname Sample result
I am trying to create a macro that loops through a spreadsheet, copies data over to another workbook then emails the new document.
I have taken this code from an old macro that I found but cant seem to get it to work. This is the code
Sub EmailAssessments()
Dim strTempName As String Dim strForename As String Dim strSurname As String Dim strBookingNumber As String Dim strReportingTo As String Dim strBookingGivenBy As String Dim strJobTitle As String Dim dtmStartDate As Date Dim strEndDate As String ''Need to use a string as there maybe no end date Dim strDepartment As String Dim strTierName As String Dim r1 As Range ''For loop Dim intNumberOfRows As Integer ''Count how many rows.........
I’m looking to use a user form to populate a quotation template, I have been able to link the first part of the form to the sheet as these are static cells but I’m struggling in getting the items details area of the form to work as I need. Below is a brief description what I need.
Item Details area
Move down a line after every time the add button is pressed and clear contents of the text boxes for the next item.
Also I want to make each * denoted item required before you can add a new item
I’ve uploaded a copy of the file if my description isn’t too clear
I am trying to send as an attachment "sheet1" to a email list in "sheet2" range "A1-A50" I looked at Ron De Bruin examples but didn't find one to email a single sheet from a list.
I looked at examples at Mr. Excel but didn't find it. I apologize if I overlooked it. If I did just point me to it.
I have a number of spreadsheets, all of the same format, saved into ("C:Email Attachments").
I wish to populate a master workbook, using a macro to loop through all of the workbooks in that folder, copying all of the data (Starting at B52-Q52) using Selection.End.Down, as the row count is always different and pasting it into the master workbook. Sometimes there may only be one row, so an IF statement may be required, to say if there is nothing in B53 then don't do Selection.End.Down. The overall result would be for all of the data from each spreadsheet is detailed as one big list in the master spreadsheet.
I run a web query to populate a table in my spreadsheet. The data is dynamic - and on some days, I will get a couple of extra rows in the table (its weather data, so e.g. when its raining, they will forecast an extra row of how many mm, etc...)
To give a simple example, right now I use Hlookup to locate the value of F3 (the date) in my dynamic range of B26:G26 and step down 3 rows, where my needed temperature values are for that corresponding day. This works great like this already: =HLOOKUP(F3,B26:G29,3,FALSE)
The big issue is...what happens if my target values are not always 3 rows down? If the query refreshes with any extra rows, this reference is shifted. (Well, my starting "Anchor" is shifted)
Trying to add a macro to generate an approval email with certain data from the spreadsheet within the body of the email. I have the following in place currently to deploy the email:
Sub Sendemail() Dim Email_Subject, Email_Send_To, _ Email_Cc, Email_Body As String Dim Mail_Object, Mail_Single As Variant Email_Subject = "New Account Approval"
[Code] ....
What do I need to add the following cell values into the body of the email, All Sheet 1?
Is there anyway this can be done using a button in the spreadsheet?
For Example.
I send numerous almost identical forms to a colleague and to eliminate subject line typo's (Reference numbers) i would like the Subject line to match a cell in the document itself.
I have experience in working with Excel, but none on using code/macros
I have a main spreadsheet that I am consistenty adding information to. The columns are : Company name, Contact, Territory, and Status. The main spreadsheet is titled "Main". I want 5 additional spreadsheets in the same workbook that are automatically pulling information from the "Main" spreadsheet, and populating the appropriate spreadsheet . For example...I have 500 entries of different companies in "Main". All of these companies are either categorized as "North, South, East, West, Offshore" in the Territory column. So, I would like my workbook to have 6 tabs...one "Main, North, South, East, West, Offshore." As of right now, I am Sorting the column, then copy and pasting into correct spreadsheet manually.
My question, and it's my first one here, is regarding the use of ListViews in Excel forms. I need to populate it with a range of several columns with data from a spreadsheet.
What i would need is a script so that it doesn't look at those specific cells but a range of cells and every time the button is clicked it will fall into the first empty cells.
So example when button is clicked Case 1 if cells C242 has something look at cell C243 If cell C243 has something look at cell C244 If cell C244 has nothing then enter data that goes with that button. I have around 6 to 7 different buttons.
As you can see I have only one attached file which has a two sheet tab, one is the "DATALIST" and the other is "FORM" in which this tab will be the one to be generated with blank highlighted yellow, and get data from datalist tab.....
