1: Is their anyway I can get rid of the File, Edit, View, etc buttons at the top of the document so everyone that opens it can not see them? and also the save button, the idea is they have to use the button to save the sheet.
2: I have a button on the sheet with a macro that saves the sheet once it has been worked on, the sheet flashes when this button is clicked is there any way I can stop the sheet flashing ?
I have attached macro code, which populates a three page template and clears the contents, so that the process can be repeated. I would like to stream line the macro which populates the template - currently there is alot of screen flickering back and forth between worksheets.

User can't do following things :
1. User can't Hide column and can't make a change in column width
2. User Can't delete any sheet from file.
if user do the above thing then undo the event or stop the above event.
This file is on shared mode and i don't want to use sheet protection
I have a spreadsheet that has
worksheet_calculate and also worksheet_changes, its a combination of the 2...
and it's purpose is to make a record of the number every time it changes by populating it into the next row, so I end up having a very long data list
and what happens is that my spreadsheet has real-time data coming into one cell which makes it constantly changing....
needless to say, when my spreadsheet is opened, it starts to do it immediately...and it wont stop as long as the number keeps on changing.
I would like to make 2 buttons - one says START, one says STOP
and when I click on START, then it will start making record of this number and when I click STOP, then it stops recording the changes of this number.
This is the code I use to temporarily remove menu barsfor a spreadsheet that is managed by user forms. I have code at the close of the program to replace the menu bars. The code work well although and it places a list of enabled bars in the range C1:C50 on the sheet "Bars". The range C1:C50 is not locked before the sub routine 'Hide Menus' runs. However after the sub routine 'Hide Menus' runs, the range C1:C50 is always locked and I don't understand why this is so, I would prefer it not to be.

I have a range of cells in a work sheet "sheet 1 " my objective is to filter this range according to certain criteria (i ve succeeded to do this ) yet what i want to do now is copy this data to another existing worksheet in a certain range .
note :the existing worksheet to which i 'll copy the filtered data has some cells out of the range that i dont want to over write ..
Simply :how to copy a selected range of cells in a work sheet to already existing work sheet in a specific range aswell .

What I am needing to do is create a master button similar to the "Show All" Button at the top that hides any sub group automatically based on the values in the yellow box. The hide button to the right of the hardware assembly will hide the rows when pressed but that requires me to go down the list and press each button that the yellow box has a zero in. I would like to create a button that has a macro that will automatically "click" or run the hide button when its corresponding yellow box has a zero in it. If the value is greater than zero it does not need to hide that hardware group.
Example from attached image. If I were to run the new macro it would run the hide button for rows 5-8, not run the macro for rows 10-13, then again run the macro for rows 15-18, and so on until it reaches the last yellow box which is row 1036 (hide rows 1035-1039).
I have a button (A) that will unhide worksheet A. I would like to add another button (B) that will hide(very hidden) worksheet A (if allready open) then open worksheet B, vice versa when click button A.

I'm using the With ActiveSheet.MailEnvelope command in vb to send an email and it works fine, but the range I am selecting includes macro buttons on the sheet.
It is possible to prevent macro buttons from been printed by selecting Format Control > Properties on the button and unticking Print Object (off by default anyway).
Is there any equivalent way of preventing macro buttons from appearing in emails when a range is emailed rather than printed.
I'm trying to disable the [x] in the upper right hand corner to force my users to use my "Close Workbook" button, but not sure how to do it. Then, was thinking that I might just want to hide the entire Application Title bar...
View 9 Replies View RelatedI am using several toggle buttons to hide/show rows of data related to the specific toggle buttons. I also want to hide and show the toggle buttons as well. When I try to do that the data underneath the toggle buttons is hidden but the toggle buttons don't hide with the cells.
A solution for the problem that I am having would be to have the ability to click on a cell as if it were a toggle button and hide/show rows of data when clicked.
OR
If there is a way to hide/show buttons as well would work too.
Why code will not hide command buttons or worksheets based on a given password. I have attached the code so.

I have a couple of functions running in my workbook, and for no reason that I can see, when one of them runs during a simple macro I use to show/hide some columns, the worksheet vanishes. Is there a way to stop all functions running while I show/hide columns?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a workbook full of several tabs. The main tab is the 'Report' tab, all other tabs are hidden. The information on the hidden tabs populate onto the 'Report' tab.
My question is, I have created a shape on the 'Report' tab to act as a button. This "buttton" is which I have hyper-linked with one of the hidden tabs. When the hyper-linked tab is showing, the button works fine. However, when I hide the hyper-linked tab, the button does not work. I would prefer to have just the 'Report' tab showing.

Is there a VBA code to delete all of the buttons on a sheet? I can't name them individually, because for some reason, excel changes the name of the button between the sheet and the new workbook.

Within each worksheet, I will have a calendar format that contains a range for each month of the year (multiple columns and multiple rows). but at the moment, every single option box copies every other box when I changed the format control cell reference. even though I haven't copied and pasted them!
I am copying sheet 1 to the back of the workbook and renaming it. I am using a few command buttons on sheet 1 to trigger the copy macro, etc. I do not want these buttons on the copied sheets.
I have done a right click /Format Control/Properties and selected “Don’t move or size with cells” but the buttons are still being copied and still active for the macro. Perhaps due to sheet copy versus cell copy?
I guess I could add select and delete steps to the macro for the buttons but this seems excessive.

I have a pair of radio buttons on an Excel 2007 sheet. I want the buttons to be clickable, but have the sheet protected.
Both are defined as unlocked. The Group containing the two buttons is also defined as unlocked.
But when I protect the sheet, one of the two buttons gets the pop-up saying the cell is protected - the other button is fine. I've even tried unlocking the cells behind the buttons, but it still pops up.
I have two macro buttons on a page that hide and unhide columns. When I got to protect the sheet .. the buttons no longer work and ask me to DEBUG. Is there a way to have macro buttons performing tasks AND have the sheet still protected?
In the protect sheet window .. am I have ticked is
Select Locked Cells
Select Unlocked Cells
But these are ticked as a default.
I am using VBA to copy and paste the entire contents of a worksheet into a new sheet. However I have a button that I put on the sheet that needs to move aswell. I got it to move but the event handler for the button

But as you scroll down the sheet, the group of buttons is left above. Is there a way to make the buttons scroll down (or up) along with the spreadsheet ?
