is there a way to highlight the content of the TextBox5 when Showing the Userform?
i am working on a userform that contains several controls one of which is a textbox ,everything is fine except that i need to know which textbox property to use in order to highlight the text writen inside the textbox, i know "setfocus" but thats not excatly what i need, i need to highlight the text inside the textbox.
example:
"textbox.setfocus" sets the focus onto the textbox without highlighting its content
what i need is:
"textbox.ur suggestion" sets the focus onto the textbox & highlight its content, this way i will no longer have to clear the text using the backspace key to write another text
I have two userforms with a label which displays CompetitorID. I want to transfer content (displayvalue) from UF1.label to UF2.Label. I know labels don't have a value property but want to simply know if it can be done as presently I'm getting run time error 380, can't set property value.

I have a spreadsheet and I want to color particular cells in a column with a new color - i.e. any new changes need to be highlighted. I know there's a way to do tracking changes in excel, but it just sticks a little flag almost invisibly in the corner of the cell. I want to be able to bring the spreadsheet back to our administrator and say hey the stuff in red is new.
On a related note - I am working on this massive spreadsheet that is a .csv but I am saving it as an exel spreadsheet - is that ok? I am assuming that if I save it as a csv, it will return to the original formatting just without the colors, filters, etc changes I made - which is fine because I think somehow the .csv file will be uploaded to the system and no further changes need to be made.
I found out the hard way when you have a .csv file and make changes and then save it, you lose all the fun row/column size adjustments, color, etc - but I figure in the meantime I'll work on it as a excel spreadsheet and then return it to it's natural .csv file status.
I have a table in Excel 2007, I need to show the content of a column if it has data and if not leave empty, I think I need an if statement.
Column A may have content in a row but could have empty cells
Column B would be the same, but different rows, Column C to have the answer.

I need to split content from a textbox into many cells.
The textbox isn't multiline and will contain content such as:
Rooney 18, Villa 27, Parker 54
Now I need each scorer placed into a separate cell each.
I have used a few pieces of code I have found and tried to adapt them but to no avail.

I want to use a Login screen for a little "request-program" I made. Logging in works and when I log in as an administrator, an extra window pops up where I can add and remove new users (with pass). Users (column A) and passwords (column B) are located in a 'logins'-tab in my worksheet. Adding a new username works fine, but I don't seem to get the password next to the username. When adding a new name, the code searches for a blank cell in column A, adds the name and then sort the rows (so username and password still correspond). Usernames are filled out in a combobox (so you can select one to delete) and passwords in a textbox.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am working on a code which works, however, its is not working entirely as i intended. In this example, the body of the email should contain content from textbox.
I have 3 text boxes, not all are expected to be filled out. So if only textbox1 is filled out, the body should only include information derived from textbox1.
Whats happening now is that even if textboxes 2 and 3 arent filled out, the body of email produces blank formulas from textboxes 2 and 3. So how do i fix this code so that if I enter data into textbox1 only, the body of email will not include empty formulas? Ive also attached a copy of the Produced email file. Code in question is in red font

Is there a way to control the vertical size of a textbox, so that we could type in a List of Instructions to our operator, and the textbox would resize depending on the numbers of instructions in the box. Also the items in the cells beneath the textbox would need to move down, to allow for the resized textbox.

On Sheet 1 along the first row are names of depots, under each of these are a list of names (number of name varies)
On Sheet 2, C2 is a data validation list, with source being =Sheet1!A4:E4
Is it possible to make C3 show a list of the names that's dependant on what's selected in C2
I have a spreadsheet with a master front page, which basically copies the contents of other cells in other sheets for it's own content. ie:-
the formula in cell E16 on the master sheet is ='Sheet 7'!$B$16 (Please note that cell B16 is actually a merged range of B16 to H16)
Everything works fine until such time as the orginal cell contains an amount of text which is deeper than the cell on the master page eg cell B16 on sheet 7 is 330 pixels deep while the cell E16 in the master sheet is only 16 pixels deep.
What I would like to happen is for row 16 in the master sheet to expand in depth by whatever is requried to automatically show the full content of B16 on sheet 7.
is it possible to have the text in a listbox automatically highlighted so as soon as the user types this information is deleted?

i have a database of the kind:

I need to obtain in the y axis the model, and in the x axis the store.
The data per each model and store should be: the version and color.
I'm using Pivot table to do that, but i'm only able to obtain the "count" (or sum or other formula) but I'm not able to obtain the content of the cell.

The following code highlights part of the time (hours or minutes) that will be modified by a spin button. The code works fine (although maybe a more efficient way). Each time you click in the time it will highlight the hours or the minutes, depending on where you click. When you click on the spin button the control loses the focus so becomes un-highlighted. I thought that just setting the focus back to the text box would work but what I am getting now is it highlights on every other click of the spin button.

Im creating a userform, i have two choices, when a combobox event changes, a second form loads, thats fine, but would it not be more efficient if i were to have hidden tabs on the main form? if so - can anyone advise how i can hide the tab/tabs until the combobox event is triggered.
My "main" aim is to have a VERY quick and slick user interface.
If required i can upload the code - just shout.
I have the below code that I am using to find an empty textbox with the name FirstName. All it does is place the cursor in the FirstName text box if the textbox is empty, but doesn't really make it stand out. I was hoping to find a way to color the background of the textbox pink, or have it set up so it would stand out somehow.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a small userform (FormA) with two text boxes, a combobox, a help button, and an "OK" button. When clicked, the help button launches another userform (Form B), containing a text message and a "Close" button.
When I enter data into Form A, then click the Help Button to read what's on Form B, then close Form B, the data I had entered into the text boxes and combo box on Form A are deleted.
I've tried fussing with the modality, but that's not changing anything. I know I could write the text into a variable, then re-display it when Form B is closed, but that seems like a little (very little) extraneous stuff in an already bloated program.
I have created a combo box in a userform called combobox1 and userform1
I have also created 2 command buttons called Go and cancel

I realize that this is a topic that has been well tread in the forums; I've read many of the responses. Unfortunately even after adapting these responses, my code isn't working as I would hope. I have many textboxes on a userform, and often they can be left without any input from the user. Unfortunately the textboxes serve as the arguments for a function. If the value is zero, the function works as it should. Here is the code I have:

The idea was that when the user left the box, if it was empty it would have a value of 0, but if it had a number, it should be formatted to currency without the decimal point. Unfortunately, the "IsEmpty" line doesn't seem to be working. I tried to just use a simple msgbox to check, but when I tab out of the textbox without typing anything, nothing happens. If sure there must be a simple solution I'm missing.
I have text in one cell and I need a text box to show the text from that cell.
For example, if I have text in B2, on a text box I put the forumla =B2. The issue I'm experiencing is that the text box cuts off the text. There's no logic to why it cuts off the text, it's not limited to number of characters and I've played about with the margins and wrap texting, etc, all to no avail.
