How To Create Formula To Add 30 Days Out From Specific Date
Sep 15, 2009
I am creating a tracking spreadsheet and I will need to f/u on a process 30/60/90 days out from a particular date. Example: CPAP Therapy began 1/22/09 and I need to follow-up by 2/22/09. How do I create formula to add 30/60 or 90 days out from the setup date?

I want to calculate the end date of my German courses. This is how it works:
A course consists of 60 LU*. The course can occur i. e. three times a week: Monday, Wednesday and Friday. In each day the course lasts 2 LU, which means 6 LU each week. There is no course on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday and on holidays. Therefore this type of course that begins on 18-Nov-2013 will end on 03-Feb-2014.
Another course which occurs Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, and respectively has 2 LU on Tuesday, 2 LU on Thursday and 3 LU on Saturday and starts on 03-Dec-2013 will end on 06-Feb-2014.
Therefore I want to create a worksheet where I set the start date, choose the days and respectively the LU amount on those days. The end date shall be calculated according to these criteria.
The workday function on excel cannot do this and I do not have any programming skills to work with VBA.
Legend:
*LU = lesson units; 1 LU is 45 minutes
Holidays:
28-Nov-13
29-Nov-13
08-Dec-13
09-Dec-13
25-Dec-13
31-Dec-13
01-Jan-14
[Code] ...........

I'm needing a formula that will determine the number of days that fall in a specific month based on a date range. For example, if I have a date range of 10/15/2009 to 01/13/2009, I need the formula to determine the number of days in each month within the range (October has 15 days in the date range; November has 30, December has 31, and January has 13.) I have a large spreadsheet that would be so much easier to manage with such a formula. Currently, my spreadsheet is setup as follows. I need the forumla automatically fill in the number of days under each month.
Stard Date End Date Oct-09 Nov-09 Jan-10 Feb-10
10/15/2009 01/13/2009
I'm using Excel 2007.

I have a form in which users will manually enter a date in Column A. I would like to create a formula in Column B which will add 4 days to the date based upon Column A. However, the 4 days should only be added to a select set of dates which I would like to specify. If the date is not found in this select set of dates, then the result in Column B should be the same date as Column A.

A1=10 July 2007
A2=12 (number of days)
A3=21 July 2007
I need a formula in A3 that will basically add the number of days in A2 to the given date in A1.
Note: Don't know how would this work with 30 and/or 31 days months??

I'm using the code below to extract information from a 'Source' (Remaining Allocation Data) to a 'Destination' (All CTO Expired Assignments) sheet.
[Code] ......
The code works except for this part of the script
[Code] ....
What I'm trying to do is as follows:
Extract records where the FinDate is less than the CurrentDate, (i.e. 19/06/2014) and,
Is equal to and no greater than 28 days prior to the Current Date (i.e 22/05/14)
I've tried all sorts of formulas to try and get this to work including the 'DateAdd' function, but I've so far been unsuccessful.

the formula below prints monday to friday when i drag it down. Probably a very easy question but how would i change it so when i drag it down it includes saturdays so the only date missed out is Sunday.
It picks the date from cell a4. the code is from here: http://www.cpearson.com/excel/DateTimeWS.htm
=IF(WEEKDAY(A4)=7,A4+2,IF(WEEKDAY(A4)=6,A4+3,A4+1))

I have a form with grouped check boxes for each day of the week, and start date and end date from the Microsoft Date and Time picker control. I want to know the total days within the date range based on check boxes. For example, Tuesday and Thursday are checked off. The start date is December 1, 2012 and end date is January 31, 2013. What is the total number of Tuesdays and Thursays in that two month date range.

I have a spreadsheet that contains dates in format mm/dd/yyyy. Lets call this Column C(Paydate). In Column A I have a date that needs to be a 2 business days before the paydate. If this date in column A winds up being a Saturday or Sunday, the function needs to return the previous Friday. If the date is any weekday then it should return that weekday
For example:
C1 = 10/18/2013(a Friday) then A1=10/16/2013
C2 = 10/14/2013(a Monday) then A2= 10/11/2013(the previous Friday since 2 days before 10/14/2013 is a Saturday)
C3 = 10/15/2013(a Tuesday) then A3= 10/11/2013(the previous Friday since 2 days before 10/15/2013 is a Sunday)

I'm documenting the steps of a process with each step accounting for a specific amount of business days. How do I determine the specific business day based on the number of days it takes to complete a process? For example: Start date then 45 business days from that date the next step begins...then 3 business days from that date the following step begins and so on.

how to make my network days stop counting when I insert a value in the completed column (in this case H3). I have a Date Received column (A3), a due day column (G3) and the last column with the date (N3). My remaining days column keeps counting after I filled the completed cell (H3) and won't stop counting after. I need a formula to stop after the completed cell is fill up.

Formula which can calculate how many days in a month and create a column for each day. Columns for day 28, 29, 30 or 31 also need the formulas in columns 1 to 27 copied over automatically. [sheet name "LARSheet1 to 1" ]
I'm trying to build "Leave, Attendance Management" system using Excel. I am about 40% there so far.
The basic structure of the workbook is as follows:
12x main monthly "Leave Attendance Record" worksheets (i.emonths April 2012 through to March 2013). [I will refer to these sheets asLARSheet1 to LARSheet12 ].
1 x worksheet which holds "data validation" list andvlook up info. ["FormulaListSheet"]
1 x worksheet acting as a database of staff details andpay numbers. ["StaffdBaseSheet"]
1 x summary page which shows staff reaming leaveallocation. ["SummaryLeaveSheet"]
What I'm having problems with at the moment is as follows:
A formula or a macro which works out how many days are present in a given month [starting date of month located in CELL B10].
Days 1-27 will be already set up on the sheet. Based upon the monthly value I would like a solution which can calculate how many days are in a month and create a column for days 28, 29, 30 or 31 (depending on the month).
I would like it to work like this:
When the user opens a new worksheet, they first entre the month start date in CELL B10. Hopefully this will trigger columns E13:AH22 to update with the relevant week day & date.
I also need the formulas and formatting in cells AH13:AH100 (column for day 27) to copied over automatically.
Sample of sheet setup : screenshot_LARSheet1.PNG

I am looking for a formula that looks at a date and could add business days to it.
for example:
If the date in a field is Monday, 15-dec-08 and my formula is to add 5 Business days (mon-fri) to it not including that date. The desired result would be Monday, 22-dec-08 but my formula gives me 20-dec-08

Heres what I am trying to do:
I have a due date of 30/10/2007 in cell A2, I would like the cells in row 2 to change to the colour green 15 days before the due date (15/10/2007) and then I would like Row 2 to change to the colour Amber 10 days before the due date (20/10/2007).
This is what I was trying to do but it is not working for me:
____A_______________B__________C
1___Due Date________15__________10
2___30/10/2007______=a2-b1______=a2-c1
The Formula in B2 and C2 work fine.
I was then thinking that I could put a formula in Conditional formatting that says something like
If todays date is equal to b2 then Green else do nothing or If todays date is equal to c2 then Amber else do nothing
I can't figure out the formula for that though.

The data that i was using has been changed and they have decided to change the format of the dates and dropped the year reference no all i have to work with is dates like 27-07 this represents 27th July i can format this date to work fine unless the date falls before 1 jan this year all i get is lots of numbers and it stuffs up the whole calculation.
The formula i am using to compare the dates is
=DATEDIF(N31,$D$1,"d")

I have a large spreadsheet which holds lots of data with date ranges that i need to performs different actions to. Any way to identify the number of days, per calender month, that falls in a date range.
sample data...
Start Date
End Date
Old Value
New Value
08/03/2010
18/06/2010
16758.2
16758.1
[Code] .......
I need to break down the total number of days per month
Jan
Feb
Mar
Apr
May
Jun
Jul
Aug
Sep
Oct
Nov
Dec
24
30
31
18
[Code] ......
As you can see this also laps into a new year, which poses my next problem, ill probably just add more columns on to the end of the table for that though...
I will later apply different calculations to these cells but in short need to get a calculation for the number of days per month first.
(in short spreading the new value out accross the year then multiplying it by the days... i also need to apply a further daily volume cal to it).

I am trying to create a formula that will determine the number of orders for a specific customer whose orders have a pallet count between a certain range. The customer code is a cell reference, as well as the beginning and ending values I am looking for. I have the data on a separate tab from where I am putting the formula.
Here is what I was trying to use, but it was coming up with "0" for everything:

B1-End Date Mar/31/2014
C1-No Of Days 22
D1-Days between two dates 21

B1-End Date Mar/31/2014
C1-No Of Days 27
D1-Days between two dates 26
E1 To E10-Holidays
Note : Any weekend (off days) dates listed in holidays should not effect the query.

I am now trying to create a excel macro to auto populate all the dates with reference to a start date and end date. The catch is that only working days are required in the range. My reference cells (start and end date) are in Sheet 1 while the destination cell range are in Sheet 2. The reason for creating a macro instead of a function is that the intervals between the start date and end date changes frequently (annual, semi-annual and quarterly) Best case scenario would be a button which I can just press after i input the dates to generate the range of dates in another sheet.

I have this formula =TEXT(inventory!I2,"mmm-yyyy") which takes the date from another spreadsheet, but anytime that the date is missing, it susbstitutes for Jan-1900. Is there any way to revise the formula to leave the missing dates blank in the cell? For example, if the date is missing on the other worksheet, in this case, the inventory worksheet, is there any way for a blank to appear, instead of the Jan-1900? Also, anyway for this formula to spell out the month, and not just the abbreviation?

formula that can automatically use the current month date to extract information from other cells on my spreadsheet.
For example: This formula should be located in cell C6. Cells D6, F6, H6, J6, L6, N6, P6, R6, T6, V6, X6, and Z6 (these cells correspond to the months of the year, January to December respectively) contain the values I need. The month names are labeled above in row five.
Let's say the current month is March, I need the formula in C6 to automatically know that it is the month of March and to pull the information from cell H6 (which is the March cell). Then when April comes along, it will know that it is April and to only pull the information from cell J6; and so on until the end of the year.

The problem comes in when I have yet to populate the future dates. I am getting -39991 (numeric value between today and jan 01 01) and because I am also using conditional formatting this is even more of a problem.
