How To Do Lookup In Form

I am trying to make my textbox where information is entered do a vlookup to a hidden sheet that is named facility and have it fill in other text boxes.

The textbox that will have the information entered is textbox1 and then when the number is entered, it is to do vlookup and fill in textbox2, textbox3, textbox4

Each of the hidden form column headers are MPIN, FacilityName, State and Zip. So if the user says puts in 9873, it will populate in 2, 3, 4 the corresponding data on that sheet. Now, if it does not find an MPIN that is on that hidden sheet, I need it to error, MPIN not found.

Lookup/Fill-in Form ? (insert Data Fields Into A Spreadsheet Form)

I'm having trouble trying to come up with a way to insert data fields into a spreadsheet form. I have a travel authorization form that I would like to have automatically fill in the required fields based on typing in a name. i.e. I would type in an employees name, and it would automatically fill-in the correct address, etc for that employee. I have attached a spreadsheet that contains one sheet as the form, and another sheet containing the employee data. I know nothing about VBA, but I have a feeling that is where I need to go.

Recommendations For XY Lookup/User Form

way of creating some kind of xy lookup function to a data table in Excel 2003 or 2007.

To explain what I'd like, if Row 1 and column A contain a a range of values (e.g. from 1-10), I would like to be able to search these lists and select two values (e.g. 5 and 5) then return the value of the cell at their intersection (e.g. F:6 in this case)....see below... What would be the best way to do this?

Ideally I'd like the user to be able to enter these xy values and set up a nice user friendly form or drop down list. If it was a user completion field it would also need to accept ranges, e.g. if 4.3 is entered it selects value 4.

Essentially this is like a grid reference Easting and Northing. The actual spreadsheet I'm working on is 300 rows by 200 column containing 12 worksheets of this size, would it be possible to do this and return multiple values (same cell ID e.g F:6 above) from different worksheets?

Lookup Based On Input Into Textbox On Form

I have a form that pulls up. When the person enters in a ticker symbol I would like the VBA code to perform a lookup in a range "Data_Company_Names" (3000 lines long of company ticker sybols and names) and use the corosponding Name to fill in the textbox for the name. If no Ticker symbol is found then the textbox would be blank.

I realize I would have to use some type of Private Sub TextBox1_Change() code but I am not sure how to have it lookup in a range and return the corosponding name to the ticker. For example, when the form pulls up and the person enters AAPL in Textbox1 then Textbox2 value should equal the Apple which is the company name located in the column over from AAPL in range Data_Company_Names

Excel Form To View And Update Table Using Lookup In VBA

I have got a table, with a range B1:CC200. I have been able to run a macro which pops up a form and shows the particulars of a selected month corresponding to those in the table. (e.g., say entries in column D pertaining to say, March 2012 are shown in the form). Problem is I want to be able to update the entries using the form, but no no success. Am quite new to vba but the code I tried to use on the command button after updating is shown below

User Form That Will Display The Results From A Lookup Formula

I would like to create a user form that will display the results from a lookup formula. The userform would have 2 textboxes, so from the formula below BZ109 would be textbox1 and CA109 textbox2. Once data is entered in these textboxes you would hit submit to return the results in a message box. What would the code be for the sumbit button?

Multiple Product Order Form With Price Lookup

On an order form the customer will be able to enter the width and projection of several products that they want to order. The way these products are priced are in a Matrix of Width over projection. The current system i have designed is:

1. The pricing Matrix's have all been put into one big table and given a unique id per product matrix.
2. An advanced filter has then been run and and it extracts the appropriate matrix and copies it onto the process sheet.
3. An Index/Match formula is used to find the price for the inputted width and projection. It does this by finding the intersect point of the width and projection on the table.

Currently this will be put into a macro and assigned to a button.

The problem is that up to 15 (or possibly more) products need to be able to be ordered in one order form. With the current system it means there will be a lot of Advanced Filters and there will be a macro button that will need to be clicked after every product order (and they're could be 15 or more). Obviously this isn't very professional, it is time consuming and must be the hard way of doing it.

I was wondering what over systems that could be used for this sort of thing. The more solutions there are to this problem the better. Attached is the file. If you do post a solution it would be preferred if you could also post a file with a working example in. I find it much easier to learn the solution if i can see it working.

UserForm Initialization: Fill The Form Out Once And Click 'OK' (run The Code To Put The Form Data Into A Sheet)

I'm missing something in my UserForm initialization code. If I fill the form out once and click 'OK' (run the code to put the form data into a sheet), when I go back into the form all the old info is still there. If I then click 'Cancel' (Unload Me) and reopen the form, the old data is cleared out. What am I missing to make it clear it out the first time?

Recall Sub In A Form To Pull Back In Data To A Form When Reference Added

I am needing to create a form that exports data (a quote) to an Excel Db (table) and is then able to recall the data back into the form. (the default form in excel does this and I want to copy that.)

Once the data is called back in, I can then export it to another Table to show that the quote has been approved and will be used.

I am having trouble with the VBA coding that copies the inputted quote in Cell C2 (the reference for the quote number) of the "Form" sheet and looks it up in the "Database" sheet. I have tried several variations of code, but nothing works so far.

Auto-Populate Order Form From Storeroom Count Form

I have a spreadsheet I use to keep track of weekly sales patterns and use for estimating the amount of a product I would need to order taking into account what I would expect to sell in a given week and what stock I have at present. On the example I've attached, I show where I enter my storeroom count figures, which are organised by supplier and the position in which a particular product appears on the supplier's order form. I have a page which lists the orders by suppliers and which are used to place the orders by e-mail or telephone.

At present I have each supplier section of the order form directly linked to a cell on the storeroom count as per columns K to M on the attached file. However, this means that as products are de-listed by suppliers and extra products become available, I have to edit the formula in each cell as the products now appear in a different position on the storeroom count and may otherwise end up on the order form for a different supplier. I would like to set it up so that I just have to select the supplier name and the table below will automatically fill with the required info, in order of the position they appear on the supplier's form. I'm struggling to combine vlookup and hlookup. Is there a way to do it or do I need to rethink?

I have a Database and user form, in the user form i have a field named “Vehicle No” this is a combo box from which a user needs to select the Vehicle numbers, and all these are working fine now, I need your help in the following:

When user selects the second field named "Select Vendor name" i need a pop up window which shows all the Vehicles belongs to the vendor which they have selected, and with the popup window user selects the vehicle number then the Vehicle number combo box should be filled.

Currently users have to select by scrolling through Combo box which takes long time and difficult to find by scrolling.

Closing And Re-opening Form Causes Form To Freeze / Hang

I have two forms...clicking a specific button on the first form should display the second form which works fine.

When I do this twice, however, the second form seems to freeze/hang and I have to close Excel and then re-open it. I feel like I'm overlooking something obvious...

Look Up Data And Plug Into Form - User Form In Reverse?

I have created a registration workbook for this year's youth sports league. All of the information is entered into a User Form and separated onto it's appropriate sheet designated by the child's age. Next year, I would like to use this year's workbook to look up returning players.

Will it be possible to add a "lookup" button into my form, or create a lookup program, that once the registrar clicks on the correct player, the information is plugged into the User Form, the registrar adjusts the age and any necessary info, presses enter, and the information is copied into the appropriate category in the new workbook? I haven't worked with User Forms long enough to know if they can be filled in that way, but if this can be done, you are the people who would know.

Unload Or Hide User Form On Show Next Form

I'm using a series of user forms for data entry to a workbook, some of them open next stage user form on completion (OK cmd button).

All that is working fine, but I'd like the initial form to close on showing the next one. I've tried adding Unload and Hide commands following the frmInsertEntry.Show (Next stage form), to no avail, but I'd like this user form to close or hide at the end of the sub.

Basicly if I type John Doe in the text box it would look in col A for John Doe and then put whats in the cells on that row into different boxes on my form. Refresh Screen To Display On Form 1 After Exiting A Second Form

I have 2 forms. Form1 and Form2. I load Form1 to display. A button on Form1 calls Form2 to display. After I hit Cancel-Unload on Form2 it doesn't dissapear. How do I get rid of the residual image of pesky Form2 after I unload it and only display Form1 WITHOUT having to reload Form1 after Form1 calls Form2

Form2 is unloaded by hitting a button on Form2
Form2 is unloaded, however, it's image still displays!!!

Need some way to force screen to refresh without having to unload Form1!

Extracting A Column From Form 1 And Placing It In Form 2

I have 2 different forms that I need info from one, added to the other.

The reason for this is to update pricing from a new file, into an older file with the same product code for each product.

on form 1(the one I want to keep), column x is price(that I want to update from form 2 column L), and column B is the product code(sku)

Now on form 2 Column L is the The customer price(this is the data I need moved over to column X on form 1. and column I is the UPC 10(sku) that needs to match the same sku(product code) on form 1.

Gee this sounds confusing aFTER i TYPED IT.. i HOPE THIS MAKES SENSE. i WILL ALSO ADD THE 2 FILES, SO YOU CAN SEE WEHAT I am talking about.

Please help as I have about 30,000 items total, and would take way too long to update prices manually every 2 - 3 months.

I am trying to create a form to use as a golf tracker. I basically have created a scorecard where I input the date, score, fairways in regulation, greens in regulation and putts. Column 1 to 4 will have the lookup values in multiple rows and Column 5 data should be picked up using vlookup or other lookup function.

I managed to somehow bring all these lookup values in (Column 1 to 4) in a single column in another sheet. I am now trying to use some lookup or other functions to match this single column and pick column 5 data in original sheet. Result i am expecting is lookup value in first column and next to it column 5 value.

It is basically a lookup wherein lookup value is spread over multiple rows and columns and result column is fixed. I tried using vlookup, but lookup value column and column number had to change every time when i moved from column1 to 4.

Column G:
VAT payment
HMRC payment
Pay VAT

I have a table on the side that shows:

HMRC HMRC

ie. If anything in column G matches one of the words in Column Y, then output the Column Z. I have use a Vlookup that works for the first two, as VAT is the first thing, but dont know how to make it work if the key word is in the middle of the cell.

I have a workbook with 2 different types of sheet - 1 containing source data and the others 'collecting' data from the source sheet, depending on what the sheet is for.

For example, the data source contains different pets, their names, ages and their owners.

The other sheets are on a one-per-owner basis.

What I would like to do is use a LOOKUP / MATCH function to lookup the owner name typed in cell A1 of the output sheet and match it with the corresponding owner name(s) on the source sheet. I would then like it to return with each pet and append the results on the sheet accordingly - like below:
