I have a label in a userform which is picking up data from sheet1.range("a1") and i would like it to show along the left side of the userform so rotated at 90 degrees.
I do not have to use a label but I do need the data to be shown at 90 degrees.
I would like to extract some text from a word file and transfert it into an excel spreadsheet. My text is always presented in the same way. First there is a line with some data (see exemple bellow). I have no problem to extract them using the macro bellow even it's not perfect.
My problem is on the main text. I weed to keep the format or at least the different paragraphes as when you copy text in word and past it in the formula bar (or press F2).
Here is an exemple of my word file
Code : XXX1- Abrege : DGS45 - Type : D - ADICAP : PHXT5847
Part of my work involves the transfer of thousands of lines of Excel data into FileMaker and then exporting this data to Word where it is finally formatted for publication. What I'd ideally like is to skip the FileMaker step and simply have it so that I import all the data from my Excel file into a Word document in one swoop. The problem is that the eventual export can't feature tables, it would be the icing on the cake for the data to remain as formatted, and the data needs to read line<space>line<space>, vertically.
Essentially, I need to know how to take this from Excel ..
How to write a code to import all tables from a single word document into a single excel sheet? (we don't know exactly how many tables there will be,or how many rows in a table there will be , but the columns are certain, which is 9, from A to I.
I am trying to take multiple tables from a Word document and import them into an Excel worksheet. Currently I have found two versions that when combined, could yield what I am looking for. The first one imports the table's data from Word, but does not maintain formatting of the table (font, colors, rows/columns etc.):
The next code maintains formatting, but only imports/pastes one table:
[Code] .........
For the second one, I do not like the fact that it is calling a specific Workbook to paste into. If I could somehow maintain the ability to import/past multiple tables while keeping formatting that would be perfect. An extra bonus would be to import each table within the Word document into individual Worksheets in Excel. I am also using Office 2010.

Need to convert decimal degrees into degrees, minutes, & seconds (displayed in three columns). Currently calculated manually from ATAN, ASIN, or ACOS functions.
I had a similar problem a day or two ago in converting Deg Min.dec to Deg.dec and it has happened again. This time I want to convert Degrees Minutes & Seconds to Degrees.decimals.
The formula I am using works for a two digit number Lat. but not 3 Long.?? Here it is below:
I've writing excel formulas to convert Decimal Degrees (DD) to Degrees Minutes and Seconds (DMS) and back again for astronomy. These are for converting DD angles for telescope Right Ascension (RA) and Declination Angles (DEC) pointing.
I've got the formulas to work except for one minor annoyance. Try this formula for converting DEC DD angle of -1.5° to a DEC DMS angle: ....
I am familiar with VBA, but this one has me stumped! Basically, I want to have Excel fill out an Aspx form, submit it, and then pull in the data from the html table that the form produces. There are multiple queries it would have to do, so I would want it to loop through until it is done with my list of inputs. I don't even know where to start...
The website I need to pull data from is: [URL]
On the form, there are multiple fields, but the one I am interested in is the "Study Area Code." An example input I would have in this field is "529910." I would have a different sheet in my workbook with all the SACs I need to pull.
My vision for the end result is to have all the data pulled into one sheet.
I am trying to convert Degrees Minutes & Decimals of a minute (12° 34.567') to Degrees and decimals of a degree (12.57611°). I have the formula to convert latitude, that is two digits, but it doesn't want to work with longitudes, three digits. (see attachment). This is the formula that I am using:
I have an html table (3 columns) that has a decent amount of formatting in each column. It uses the <P> attribute for seperating content blocks in each cell along with Lists (LI's) and OL's. It breaks the content on each <P> and <LI> attribute and places each item on a seperate line. I want the content to all be in one cell. I've heard about using a css style to make it stay in the same cell, but it doesn't seem to do anything at all. I've tried:
I am attempting to create a template that will utilize data from an Access table, and allow the user to select the parameters in the Excel file. The amount of records in this table is slowing down the Excel file, and I would like to lessen the amount of data that is imported based on the user selection.
The Access table will have three columns:
Part Number|Line|Catalog Code
I would like to import all three columns, but allow the user to select the records imported based on the catalog code.
The users do not have read or write access to the sql tables, so I run an Access query at the end of each day to create an Access table that they can access.
I struggle with my old excel (2003). There is a thing i have to do: put arrows from one sheet which will change its color depending on data, written in some fields. Also there is a task to put these values inside created arrows. I put values using commands:
Worksheets("Map").Shapes("COL").Select With Selection.Characters .Text = Range("Data!E4").Value
Arrows are drawn in different angles using drawing tool. So i need to rotate the text inside the arrows respectively to angle of the arrow rotation. So how is it possible to rotate text inside that shape?
Problem: Have a squad of 8 players in my darts side. We have 12 games in our season and each game requires 4 players so each player will play 6 games. 6 of these games are at home and 6 are away.
I want to create an excel sheet whereby a team will be picked for each match. Each player will play at Home and Away 3 times each. And the same group of players will not play with the other players each time.
eg. Week 1- Team Players, 1, 2, 3, 4 Week 2 - Team Players 5,6,7,8 Week 3 - 1,3,5,7 Week 4 - 2, 4, 6, 8 etc.
I have enable Refresh on Open for my excel pivot table, but user need to click "Enable Automatic Refresh" , only solution i came across is to change the registry setting. Which i dont have access to edit registry(admin disable the access).
Alternate solution i try to use Access macro to automate the process and use Outputto save it as a excel file A. Then use excel file B to update pivot table from excel file A.(as excel A data is always latest) The problem is i will get "....A file name already exist...do you want to overwrite.." prompt. Which defeat the automate process.
Any other solution to enable the automatic refresh on open the excel workbook?
Or Access can overwrite the exist file or save it as another file name with timestamp ?
I need to count how many times the word Test is in the range B4:H9 with
Range N2 = Test the formula below works if Test is only in the cell once.
=COUNTIF($B$4:$H$9,"*" & N2 & "*")
But I have data in cells like below, this is all in one cell, so how would I have it count all the times test is in the range when some cells have test 2 or more times in a single cell?
1. I have a excel file with Japanese words in column A and their English equivalents in column B.
2. I am trying to create a Macro and assign it to a button. On pressing the button Macro should be able to:
3. open a form where I can enter location of a word file.
4. Macro should open the word file specified in (3).
5. Macro will pick up first Japanese word from excel file (Sheet 1 - A1)
6. Search for that word in Word file
7. Replace the Japanese words in Word file with their English equivalent from excel (B1)
8. Then it should search for second word (A2) and replace with its equivalent (B2) and so on till it reaches last filled cell in excel file column A.
After a lot of search I could find a code from net (Below), made a few changes, but it is not working.

I am in the middle of automating a process here at work, the program takes a word, "pencil" for example, from excel. It will then open up a word document with content already in it (premade template). The program will then find all instances of a string, "placepencilhere" for example, and will replace that instance with the string from excel.
Basically I want to be able to take a variable that has a stored string value from excel and use it to replace another variable in a word document.
I tried recording a replace (ctrl+f, replace tab) macro, copying the code, and inserting it into the excel vba code.. but I get a error message. Here is what I have:
Is it possible to import the last row an Access table into Excel either through VBA or an excel function.
I need it to be only the last row, due to the size of the database, I have tried importing using a query but this takes a long time as it checks each row first.
Is there a way to find the last row automatically a bit like this in excel.
I have a Table in my schema (Oracle Database) that has about 250,000 records (rows in excel speak), and we use Excel 2003 at work, so I can't import this there and then split it by Store Number (column).
Each Store number has less than 65K rows, so it should fit into a sheet.
Has anyone written some VBA script that will be able to look into my SCHEMA, and the Table in question (specific name) and then split it by Store number and import each store to it's own sheet.
So if the Table has 20 stores, there would be 20 sheets inside the workbook.
I have a table i'm importing from access. I'm wondering if there's a way to split the table so that it imports into separate locations. The following shows what I'm trying to do.
This is the data table. You'll note that under FlatOrTrim, I have 2 choices.
I'd like the ones in flat to populate one portion of the worksheet, and the ones in Trim to populate a different part of the worksheet. Like so: (Not all the data matches up perfectly, ignore that)...
