How to use the Camera Icon Tool using a Macro?
I want to copy the First Row which is the Column heading of one Sheet to a different Sheet
Example : From Col A till Col G First Row is to be copied as an Image. Normally I do it using the Camera Icon, however when I tried recording a Macro for the same it did not work..
So how do I that if I provide the Start Column and End Column Alphabet as a Variable is that possible.. I want this Image to not remain Volatile which is the case using the Camera Tool..
So, how do i get the picture of only the first row or any row and store it is an Image in a different sheet as static picture so that even when the sheet is moved to a different location it does not make a difference to the Image.

In Excel 2010, I used the camera tool to take a snapshot of a selction of cells. How do I save the snapshot only as a JPG or GIF file?
I know that there are programs outside of Excel that can take snapshots or print screens, but I need to accomplish it using the camera tool so the snapshot is the exact selection everytime. Is the excel snapshot temporarily saved somewhere on my computer where I can access it?

I have place a camera-picture of a table on the right side of a chart. On the screen it looks great! (See below - with some redaction)
Problem Example.png
.... but when I print it the table expands off of the side of the chart. Scale is 100%, zoom is 100%, Excel 2010 (See below - with some redaction). Whether or not I have a print area does not seem to make a different in the problem. Also, it appears that this happens with any shape I put in that place, it's not specific to the camera tool.

I'm making a dashboard and currently using a camera tool to show a sheet in a different workbook.
However the camera shot should show the sheet for the current month. (the workbook contains 12 sheets one for each month)
I was trying to reference a cell within the dashboard workbook in the formula bar to select the correct month.
[Code] .....
This is the workbook being referenced and
[Code] ....
This is what I have to try select the sheet with the right month. W2 contains whatever month it currently is.
I get that this formula is wrong because I'm referencing a sheet/cell in the dashboard workbook right after calling the tracking workbook, I just don't know how to write it correctly.

Description:The chart shown in the file is a picture using the Camera Tool. The real chart is in the worksheet "Chts". When using the dropdown & radio button, the chart is supposed to change accordingly.
Problem 1:The picture from the camera tool seem to be blurry. The lines also seem thicker. Any rectifications for this?
Problem 2:If I save this file as "xlsx", the chart will not change dynamically when the dropdown is changed.

I have a spread sheet were the area is getting very limited. I need to insert a small icon and when the mouse goes over (like it does in a form tool tip) will show the value of a cell (text value) located in another sheet in same workbook, or I was thinking inset a comment next to the icon and link the comments of the comments text to cell with the text value.

I am a complete newbie with the camera tool. Is there any way to make the camera tool dynamic so that the cells the tool is referencing can change upon the click of a button or some other form of switch? I am creating my first dashboard and this is the last step for my report to be completely dynamic.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Never mind, I apologize i just figured this one out...
Create a user defined formulaIn the UDF Create an if statementThe if statement's condition is the logistics in the shift mechanismThe value if true is the first group of cells you want in the snap shotThe value if false is the second group of cells you want in the snap shot, The range you want to toggle betweenRename the cell reference of any snap shot you have taken with the UDF name. In my example my UDF is "Dude" so when you select the camera tool it shows =Dude as the cell referenceReference a scroll bar to the conditional cell you selected in the if statement or choose statement. This is the shift mechanism
If you want to toggle between more than 2 sets of data use =Choose instead of =if

I need to send out an order form (spreadsheet) to 100's of people that need to complete the form and email back to me as an attachment. If I was completing the order form myself I would use the "email" icon that I have pinned to my Quick Access Toolbar (QAT). However, most of the recipients don't even know the Toolbar exists.
Is there a way I can insert an icon / hyperlink in the spreadsheet that does the same thing as the QAT icon. I can insert text to say "click here to email your order" (or similar).
I need to keep it in an excel format and an icon is so much better that asking them to save to their hard-drive and attach to an email, etc.
The QAT icon is exactly what is needed but I need to provide a spreadsheet that works for folk who haven't got the icon.

I am using the camera tool in excel to show a range of cells. Is it possible to change the range the camera tool looks at conditionally? It's possible to do it manually and I've seen this done using a camera object to refer to charts in single cells, but have been unable to figure out how to do it by range.

The title in the attached chart is a camera shot transferred from another excel 2007 worksheet in the same workbook.
I'd like to remove the border line, I've tried right clicking... then format picture ...no dialogue box comes up. I've scrolled through all the commands in the ribbon + non ribbon commands and can't find anything that seems appropriate that's not greyed out ....

Excel 2010 and the camera function.
I have been using it to take a picture of a graph, pasting to an alternative sheet within the same workbook, and renaming the picture by a defined name. S by selecting the names from a drop down list the picture will select various different sized graphs defined within my drop down.
What I am experiencing is when I initially do this the pic works great and resizes automatically with each selection, however the next day some of the pictures resize and some do not.
Is this a glitch within excel or am I missing a setting which will resolve this?

I was wondering how I could change my desktop icon for one specific workbook to something other than the excel icon. I saw the below link (2nd tip) but that changes the icon for every file of a specific file type. I just want to change one specific file's icon on my desktop to something custom, like a clipart picture of my choosing. I also know that this can be done with shortcuts, but I need it to be changed on the original file. I tried using the IconChanger program, but the icon stayed with the file name so if I did a "save as" or emailed the file, it disappeared. I want it to stick with that file for good, or any file I duplicate from the original, and work on other computers as well.

Within the 'tools' menu option you have 'Macros'. On a standard tool bar you have the option to record a new macro, edit......, however sometime last week I created a custom button and placed icons on my tool bars that allowed me to click them to record new or run custom made macros. After a clicking the 'custom macro' buttons a few times by mistake, I decided to remove the custom buttons in the hope of returning the macro options (within the 'Tools' menu option) back to normal. However this has not been the case. Now I have no option to record a new macro the the 'tools' menu system.....it has disappeard. Please could someone tell me how I can reset the 'Tools' menu system back to normal?

I am trying to create a simple translation tool for my product catalog, which is in Japanese, to English.
I have the Japanese and the English terms listed in a file (say, File A) in Col A and Col B which will keep increasing every week.
I want to create a macro which goes thru this list and replaces ALL the Japanese terms to English in "ALL THE SHEETS OF THE PRODUCT CATALOG" (say, File B) .
I have created a button in File A so that when I press this button, I browse my computer, select the file (product catalog) to be translated, replace all the Japanese terms to English terms in ALL THE SHEETS and saves it under a different filename.

I have an application that I attached to this post, which I have been working on, for the last four or months, in my free time on the weekends and the last part I need some help with. The doc has been updated with new macros and a chart.
I would like help with a macro that I can activate and cause a message box to appear when I open the excel doc. I would like also to be able to activate the message box and its associated macros after the document has been opened. If you look on Sheet1 of the attachment you’ll get an idea of where I am trying to go with the message box. I would like it to have
- Message “The Current Time is (Macro puts current computer time here)”
- Question “How much time do you have?” then beneath this question
- Blank field labeled Hour to give answer
- Blank field labeled Minute to give answer
Depending on the current time on the computer as well as the hour and minute entered, a macro with a matching title (each macro includes a time, hour, and minute in its Sub name) a code in VBA will be selected that fits that criterion. For example, let’s say it is 5:30am and I entered 1 hr and 15 min in the empty fields of the message box. As a result the macro named “Sub Hour1Min15time530am” will be activated. Also due to the fact that the macros I have are in 15 min intervals the code would need to round to the nearest time, so if it was 5:33am when I ran the code the macro would default to 5:30am whereas if it was 5:39am when I ran the code the macro would default to 5:45am. You’ll see time controls at the bottom of the application. If I can get the code I am looking for those are going to be removed.
