I have two columns of data, and a third column for which a value will be input as a reuslt of this macro. I seem to be having a problem with "Garage Attached" in AI2:AI10. The field in this column shows this value: Driveway Concrete Garage Attached 2 car. I want the macro to return the cell value on if there is the exact wording of "Garage Attached" in the AI2 field. This macro gives me that value, but also give the same value if nothing in present in the AI2 field.

I'm doing a spreadsheet analyzing cell phone costs. Basically what I would like is the following conditions to be met in a organized if statement.
Plan A -Cheapest up to 615 Minutes
Plan B- Cheapess from 616 minutes to 1599 minutes
Plan C- Cheapest from 1600 minutes to 2266 minutes
Plan D- Cheapest from 2266 minutes onward.
The test to determine the number of minutes is an average.
On my spreadsheet it is (k24+p24)/2.
Depending on that test, I need plan A, B, C, or D to show up.
Is it possible for an if statement to contain everything I just described?

This is a complicated thing I'm trying to accomplish and I only have a rudimentary grasp of Excel formulas and logical statements.
I need to check BE2 if it's blank. If it's not blank, leave it alone. If it is blank, I need to check S2. If S2 contains the name of 1 of 11 counties (ex.: "Marion","Pinellas","Orange","Osceola", etc.), I need BE2 to say "TBD". If it does not say one of those 11 counties, it needs to say "N/A".

I have in cell c40 a data validation list with source equal Royal (=Royal) has been created.
Royal is a namebox that has a defined list of 7 options (6 actual options plus one that says "select via drop down") :
FA4 = Select via Drop Down
FA5 = option 1
FA6 = option 2
FA7 = option 3
FA8 = option 4
FA9 = option 5
FA10 = option 6..............
The concept is that FA5 is associated with a value defined in FB5, FA6 is associated with FB6, so on
What I want to happen is when I select a value via the drop down selection in C40 eg. "Option 1" that in cell D40 the value associated with Option 1 (found in FA5) returns the value found in FB5 ($10).
How do I do this? I have tried a number of "if" statements but no luck.

I'm looking to work out an IF statement based on a series of dates entered to give 1 of 3 possable outcomes. Where:
A1: todays date (exmaple =NOW())
B1: due date (exmaple 10/02/09)
C1: completion date (example 12/02/09)
D1: status (overdue, outstanding or completed)
D1: =IF(A1>B1,"overdue",IF(A1<B1,"outstanding",IF(C1<=>A1 & B1,"completed")))
I know the last part is totally wrong (symbols arranged in that manner), but to clarify i would like the date entered in C1 to override the other statements in the fomula to make it read "completed". If no date is entered in C1 then the formula will return either "overdue" or "outstanding" depending on the other dates in A1 and B1.

I am currently using an Intersect statement in a worksheet module to perform two things:
1. Insert a time stamp into row 2 when row 1 has a price inserted
2.To clear that time stamp if the price is deleted at some later date.
My problem is with the time stamp value being deleted by the user.
If I try to clear the price (now that the time cell =empty) I get a Runtime error 91 - Object Variable or With block variable not set.
I would like to convert this code to a select case statement but I'm not sure how to do this in this situation. Would error coding be appropriate in this instance?

Can a Function give two or more output variables. e.g.
Sub a()
x = 5
result = Y(x)
End Sub
Function Y (x As Integer) As Integer
Dim B
B = ... * x
Y = ... * B
this will give back Y as a result. But if I want to get 2 or more output variables (let's say I need to get also B into sub) from one function, how should I do that?
I need this because function works with large matrix and I want to extract some values appeared in between.

I'm trying to loop through a range in excel from access, checking where the titles (in Excel row 1) match with the fields (in a recordset in Access that is passed to the function) - and where they do, I want to dimension a variable to hold the column number - I'm not sure it's possible, but I'd be interested to know either way. The line I'm asking about is at the bottom of the code - the rest of the code is just to give context...

I am attempting to use a previously Set variable as part of the next Set statement, pretty unsuccessfully at present.
My purpose is trying to look up

tb_SelJobID.Value
from a userform in Col Z then look across the row to Cols D,I,N,S & W (different types of work) to see if

Currently my Set Found1 statement does not recognise my Found10 value. I know it will be my syntax as it always is. I have cut down the following code to display where the problem areas are, Found1 thru 5.

I assume, that the data is interpreted as String instead of an integer. But I explicitely stated the data as Integer when storing the data into the DB.

I have created a very long switch statement, which is too long to be placed in one row in VBA. I have attempted to put a space and underscore at the end of one line and continue the statement on the row below by placing a comma at the start of the second line. VBA will accept my efforts, but when I run the statement in the immediate window, the following error appears.
"Invalid procedure call or argument"
I understand that there are certain rules where I can split a switch statement onto two lines, yet I do not know what they may be.

i have a "problem" to empty / reset my variables. I defined them as vHour1_KW2 where the "1" is from 1 to 21 and the "2" starts from 1 to 53. Now I want to erase all of this variables or to set the value of them to "0".
At moment I use following
vHour1_KW1 = 0
vHour1_KW2 = 0
...
vHour1_KW53 = 0
vHour2_KW1 = 0
vHour2_KW2 = 0

I am looking to have one formula containing two If Statements that minus.
=IF(B6="investment",C6,0)-IF(B7="gross",C6,0)
So the result of If Statement 1 minus the result of If Statement 2.
What I am seeing at the moment in the cell is FALSE and what I want to see is the sum.

If A1 shows 10:00am and A2 shows 4:00pm, then A3 calculates the total number of hours: =(A2-A1)*24
But if A1 shows "Off," then A3 shows 0: =IF(A1="Off",0,(A2-A1)*24)
Now, if I want to change "(A2-A1)*24" to another if-statement, how do I do this? I can always set up a hidden cell (A4) that contains the results of the first if-statement, and then say: =IF(A1="Off",0,A4). But can I do this without going through all the trouble of setting up hidden cells?

Each row represents a call. If a call in column A equals "CW" and it has the highest duration (H:MM:SS) value in column B, then provide me the date (MM/DD/YYYY) for that call that is stated in column C.
i.e.
Column A --- Column B ---- Column C

CW ----------- 0:03:13 ----- 04/16/2007

Thus, the value that should be returned is "04/16/2007".

I have a problem with a formula inserted with control+shift+enter
The formula is
MEAN(IF(' VALIDATION'!$G$2:$G$59999=D30;'VALIDATION'!$E$2:$E$59999))
In the Validation sheet I have the column G with values 0 and 1, and another column E with numeric values.
Changing the value of cell D30, the formula will calculate the mean of the values in column E that have a value equal to D30 in column G.
The problem is that this function works when D30=1 and not when d30=0, in this case the formula returns N/D.
I have tried using also text values instead of 1 and the formula works . The problem is only when D30 is 0

I am trying to have a cell in sheet "Summary" count the number of cells in column DX of sheet "Analyses" that are greater than 0, provided that the value in column A of "Analyses" corresponds with the value in B8 of sheet "Summary."
(In "Analyses," there are 106 subjects, each taking up 64 rows. So, columns 1-64 correspond to Subject 1, columns 65-128 correspond to subject 2, etc. In column DX, each subject has 64 values that are either 0 or greater than 0. In "Summary," each subject has one row that summarizes the 64 trials. I want a single cell in the "Summary," sheet to reflect the number of times each subject produces a value greater than 0 in column DX of "Analyses.") I tried using this formula, but it did not work correctly:
=COUNTIF(IF(Analyses!$A$1:$A$10000=Summary!B8,Analyses!$DX$1:$DX$10000,""),">0")
(Summary!B8 = 1, so I am trying to calculate the number of values in DX that are greater than 0 only for subject 1.) When I press enter, this yields a value of 384. This is impossible, given that subject 1 only has 64 possibilities of yielding a value greater than 0. Subject 1 has 2 values in column DX that are greater than 0. I tried making this an array formula by pressing Shift+Ctrl+Enter, and that just gives me a #VALUE! error.

I'm having a hard time understanding how to accomplish what seems to be a simple result.
I need to display one of two words, based on whether or not a pair of values are above or below the criteria.
FIRST:
IF H6 is greater than 5000
AND
IF AB6 is greater than 25000
Display: Double
SECOND:
IF H6 is less than 5000
AND
IF AB6 is greater than 25000
Display: Single
There is no 3rd scenario, even though logically there should be.

and put them in datestring
I passed the datestring to a new sub which has the URL:

So, my question is, i tried to put the (1/31/2001) and (26/11/2007) which is in the above URL which is separated in variables and the URL remain the same

I am trying to use COUNTIF with two critera. If this isn't possible is there any other way possible of doing this in a range of cells.

I am trying to count the status and type of some work so:
Column A would contain the status of the work e.g. open, in progress, closed etc.
Column B would contain the department: ict, development, operations, etc.
I want to do a summary that shows: How many are in ICT are open, closed etc.
I can do a countif to get the total open, in progress etc or total number of ICT jobs but not ICT In progress.

I want to make an excel funktion than can distinguish between 3 variables. The three variables are the outcomes of my first function which are 0, 1 and 2 these IF functions can be seen below:
=IF(B11>52;"1";"0")
=IF(B12>5;"1";"0")
Then when I have these results I have tried the following function:
=IF(C11+C12=2;"6-12";"4-6")
By using this function I get an output for 2 (true) and 0 (false), but I would also like an output for 1 (which would be 6 in my work)
It looks like this:
Var 1 58 1
Var 2 4 0
Suggestion 4-6
So in the above case where the sum of var1 and var2 is 1 it is only counted as false for not being 2 and therefore = 4-6 instead of what I would like it to be = 6 (for 1)
