Label Filter And Data Refresh

I have a spreadsheet that has about 40 pivot tables that use label filters for filtering HH:MM and "greater than" selection. When I do a refresh, I have to go back and reset the label filters. Is there any way to not have to re-do every label filter after refresh? I have looked at all the settings and didn't see anything in there that looked like it would work. Maybe VBA?

Macro To Refresh Pivots Also Resets Chart Data Label Fonts

I have 6 pivot charts within a document. I use a macro associated with a button to refresh the tables and therefore the data displayed on the charts.

However, each time I refresh the data, the 'data label' font size also refreshes. What is particularly odd is that 5 of the charts are pie-graphs, of those 5 graphs, the font size only resets on 4 of them (with the data labels in a single chart staying at my desired font size).

I can manually put the font size back to that which I desire but I'd rather it just didn't change in the first place.

I've had a look to see if there's any noticeable differences between the 5 charts but there's nothing which I can find.

I'd be happy to run a bit of VBA to set the font size as I want it, if there isn't a better solution.

Pivot Table Filter On Both Label And Value?

I have a pivot table, where the rows are product names, and there are two column fields: quantity and money.

I want to filter the pivot table to only show data where the amount of money equals zero. This is easily done with a Value Filter.

I also want to filter the pivot table to only show data as applicable to certain product names. This is easily done with Label Filter.

However, I cannot get both of these filters to stick at the same time. When I add one, the other is removed.

Being Able To Refresh Data- So That When I Hit Refresh It Gets Info Frm Another File

i have an excel spreadsheet with 27 or so workeets. it contains sales figures in it.
I want to be able to link mutiple cells of this workbook to another workbook so that it retreives that data, So that when I hit the refresh (!) button it will automatically put the data in. I will recieve new sales figures (new files) on a monthly basis so i want it to be able to update the figures to the new figures.

Macro To Label Folders With Tags And Filter As Required?

Basically I have a large database of folders of examples of projects/notes etc, each with essentially lots of potential topic "tags". I want to sort them to be able to tell the macro what topic I am looking for and it give me the folders that contain that info. I will need to tag each folder individually (which is no problem). I am looking for a piece of script (that either exists or that I can write) that will do the following:

- tag specific folders with numerous "tags". The folders will all be stored in a database. The tags will be user input.

- sort these folders based on specified tags and show filepath/location/name/file number or something unique based on the tags input.

Refresh Pivot Table Without Updating Filter?

I have a macro to refresh all pivottables in my workbook. Each pivottable source from the same data pool - in addition I have a filter on each pivottable. Is there a way to fix this filter, such that once the source data is updated, the filter doesn't change? Or to only refresh the "data" in the pivottable?

My code for refreshing all pivottables is given below.

Auto Refresh Filter In Protected Sheet?

I have a summary sheet that pulls data from several worksheets. I have a filter on column I that hides all rows that have zero values in that column. Once I protect the sheet I cannot get the filter to update as the source data changes. I have tried other macros from forums but I cannot get them to work. I would like the filter to update every time that the workbook is calculated.

Pivot Refresh After ODBC Query Complete Refresh

I have a query with ODBC connection to a SQL database. This query's parameter is linked to a cell. The resultant data is the source for a pivot table. I want to refresh the pivot table, when the query is run. I've tried using the cell that triggers the query....but the problem is that the query takes about 10 seconds to run. By the time the query returns new data....the pivot has already refreshed. I need it to refresh AFTER the query is complete.

I tried adding a cell that sums up the data from the query...thinking when THAT changes (due to updated data), to trigger the pivot refresh. Problem is that I don't know the trigger for when the sum cell changes (ie....formula change, not typed in.)

I have a userform in Excel and I would like to have a label calculate from the sum of 3 different labels. I have tried a few ways of which none worked.

This is what I currently have. This returns $0.00 in the label value but does not calculate...

The reason that I have it as a public sub is that I am calling it to Private Sub extBox12_Change() as well as a couple of other textboxes so that when ever TextBox12 or the other textBoxes gets changed, the value will recalculate. The "other textBoxes" change the values of label443, 444, 445, 385, 386, 387 etc..

Label Caption Does Not Appear Until Label Is Clicked?

I created a userform where if a value from cell x is true then the label caption changes to value in cell z. While everything works fine, the label caption does not seem to appear in my userform until i click on the label. Is there anyway that it can appear automatically once the userform opens?

Also example of my code is:

Excel 2013 :: Pivot Table Compare Current Data With Refresh Data And Format New Values?

vba in excel 2013 pivot table that updates from an online CRM rows are a to h and it can be any number of rows. What I am trying to do is track progress. In column f values indicate probability for success 10 25 45 90, which can go up or down. The pivot table is refreshed to get the latest values from CRM. the update is handled by a connection to the crm not in the vba.

So far I been researching methods to conditionally format values that went up, down or remained the same since the last refresh with up down and across arrows. I have managed to piece together what I think should work but alas it is not. So I have come to you internet.

My code first clears any formatting and goes down the column avoiding null or empty cells, comparing the values in column f to values in column j.
I have 3 conditions greater than, less than or equal to, and would like add an icon for each based on the result of the comparison.

Finally when it finishes the column the code copies the current values in the pivot table column f to column j outside the pivot table which i hope to be able to hide once the cf works. The code is below

VBA Data Label Format

I have a plot that shows the position of a drifting buoy in the ocean. I have created a second series that is just the most recent position of that buoy. Everyday, using VBA, I update the chart 2nd series to point to the location of the new lat and long. For this second series, which is only one point, I have data labels turned on. I replace the data label text with the date and time of that latest position. Here is my problem. I can not find a way to format the date. No matter what I try, it has the format mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm AM/PM. I really just want it to be a 24 hour clock (mm/dd/yy hhmm).

I have tried forcing the format of the variable date_of_latest_pos, I have tried changing the cell format that contains the actual date and time...

I have a spreadsheet with rows of data. Presently, there are three pairs of columns. The first column in each pair has a label (E, F, R). The second column represents the number assigned to the label (e.g. 30, 40, 60, 70). The labels may appear in the first column of any of the three pairs. I would like to reorganize the data in three columns, which are headed, E, F, R, with the associated number underneath the heading. I have attached a sample spreadsheet showing the desired results.

trying to update pie charts via vba. This is working fine, but I have a problem with the data labels. The number of categories can change each time the macro / data is run. This is as it will be for different customers that takle different products.

When the data labels are remapped, those with a small percentage end up placed untop of one another. I have already played with grouping these small percentage together into an 'Other' Category which works fine, but I know I will be asked to split this out.

Is it possible to add a condition that states 'DATA LABELS MUST NOT OVERLAP' - or is there some way of working around this to the same effect...

Automatic Refresh Data In VB

I have an excel file with a link to an access database. when you open the excel file it prompts to refresh the data enable/disable. I select enable and the excel file is saved as a different file and the query reference in the new saved file is deleted (static version)

I have managed to write code to remove the database link from the new saved as file but what I still havent figured out is that the source excel file is refreshed automaticly when the script is running. I have set the database properties on automatic refresh on open which works if I activate manualy the file but with script down below, it does not refresh the data automaticly. What is the VB code to refresh the data in the source XLS file??

Formula Will Not Refresh New Data

This may be something very simple, but i have a table which collects varying data from different worksheets to finally calculate a Work in Progress result. Each line on the table consists of the same formula, and certain columns are used to changes %s which change the result.

When the data is changed, the formulas work through and update the new values with no problem until the last couple of columns. With these i am finding I have to copy and paste the formula back into the same place to refresh the data. The formula for those cells which causes the problem are:

Column X:
=IF(AE87="TRUE",(IF(G87>100,100,105)),(IF(AE87="Y",F87,(VLOOKUP(G87, lookup,2,FALSE)))))
Column Y;
=+W88*X88/100
Column Z;
=+U89-H89+Y89
Column AA and AB and AC:
No formulas
Column AD:

Column AE:

I have checked in the options and the calculation is set to automatic which I presume can cause these problems.

Label Scatterplot Chart: Plot Two Values Against Each Other Using A Scatterplot, And Label Each Service

I'm working for a local authority who have been given a mass of survey data. In this particular task, residents of each small district within our area have been asked their levels of satisfaction with a service, and how important they think that service is. I want to plot these two values against each other using a scatterplot, and label each service.

Excel does not automatically allow this so I used a very good sheet from the forums here: Attach labels with names to the points in a scatter plot. It's the top file, and works well. However, I can't seem to customise it for my own data.

Problems include:

- Excel often freezing when I try to run it
- Not all the data being picked up for the chart
- Incorrect labels being picked up..........
