Lookup Range Of Values In Array And Sum If Positive

I'm trying to define a range of values in two cells M1:M2; lookup that range of values in a three column array (K12:M600) and sum the values in column M12:M600 if they are positive values. I've been trying this formula:
=SUMIF(M12:M600,">0",(VLOOKUP(M1:M2,K12:M600,3,TRUE)))
but cannot seem to get it to work.

I'm trying to count the number of times a payment is made within a certain set of dates. I believe that I should be using a countifs function, but I'm not exactly sure how to program it. I have a number of months, say the last 12. And in each month a payment is made or it isn't made.

I'm using an Array formula to lookup a particular value then return a related column value.
What I would like to do is Sum a related range of cells.
The formula I have used to look up the single cell is
{=INDEX('[PL.xls]Parts List'!A4:S205,MATCH(A63,'[PL.xls]Parts List'!A4:A205,0),7)}
So in this case the related value in column 7 is returned.
I would like to sum the related values in say columns 5 to 11

In the attached sheet, I want to look up values from table (A1:G5) and then for each occurrence of a particular number, return the value in the same row in column H, and sum when there are multiple values (see green shaded area for desired output. For example, the number 8 occurs in E3, E4, and G5. I want to return the sum of the corresponding values in column H (1,5, and 2). I've spent hours trying to work this one out, I'm sure this is probably an array formula, but I can't manage to make it work.

I know something very similar was posted before, but unfortunately, it wasn't what I was looking for. I have a Worksheet tracking several associates and the department they have done work in. (Our associates are contractors for other departments). I need to have a final worksheet that allows me to pull up a name, and display every dept they worked with in the past week.

I need the array portion of a lookup formula to change based on a cell value.
On a worksheet(named "groupings")that groups students according to ability level, I have data validation lists where teachers select the criteria for the group. In cell I5 they choose the period, and in cell L5 they select which assessment to look at.
Cell B8 will either say high low or medium. Then in cell C8 I have this formula: Lookup_Occurence($B$8, ??????, 1,1,2)
Again the array will depend on what is entered in cell I5 and cell L5.
I have attached one of the worksheets the lookup_occurence will be referencing. In this exit card worksheet if cell B10 (the name of the assessment) matches what the teacher chose in cell L5 on the groupings worksheet, then the array formula will be 'Exit Card'!Card1. If cell G10 matches what the teacher chose in cell L5, then the array would be 'Exit Card'!Card2. Where A9:C339 is named Card1 and cell F9:H339 is card2 etc.....
However, it gets even more complicated then that because within Card1 there are 8 periods, and if a teacher chose period 1 in cell I8 on the groupings sheet, then I only need the array to look at the period one data in the card1 array.
Essentially what I am trying to accomplish is create a page where teachers can group students by ability level according to any assessment they choose. On the exit card page the formulas currently equaling # Div/0 will say either high, med, or low depending on how a student performs on that assessment.

I have a table of data where each row is a person, and each column is a group that person might belong to. In the intersecting cell of a person row and group column is text showing what position they hold in that group (eg Director, Head, member etc). In many cases the cell is empty because the person is not involved with the group.
There are then two lookup tables which have scores; one for the group name and one for the position type. The group name is always the column header. I have used these lookup tables as I would like the scores for each group or position to be easily adjustable.
Probably best that I just attach an example. I tried to solve this using SUMPRODUCT. VLOOKUP on the two lookup tables would have been good but it seems it doesn't work with arrays the way I expected. My attempt (which doesn't work obviously!) is given.

I have a Skills Matrix sheet consisting of 100 rows with Employee's names and 60 columns of all possible skills.....where an employee has achieved a skill a date appears in the appropriate column .
I want the user to be able to enter a name in another sheet and for the system to show ( on that sheet ) ONLY the column headers and dates of the skills they have achieved beside that name.

I would like to fullfil a range a cell with different strings. As the cells are jointed to each others, I would like to pass the string array to the range and not to pass each string to each cell, to spend time.
I mean, with the function
Dim stTxt(3) As String
range(Cells(1,1),Cells(3,1)).value=stTxt()
But I have some difficulties with this function:
-if the range is a column, the function works, but if the range is a row, then only the first value of the array is passed, and to all the cells of the range
-I didn't manage to use this function when using
Range(Cells(x,y),Cells(z,t))
and when the range is in another worksheet. I need to use
Cells(x,y).resize(z-x,t-y)
(I'm using Excel 2000).
how I can pass correctly my string array to a row of cells? (cf 1. point).

I have a workbook where road structure data is recorded i.e. bridges, culverts, etc.
One of the worksheets has data I need to lookup. The primary worksheet called “Structure_Data” has the ‘Road Number’ (RN) of a particular road and the ‘Road Running Distance’ (RRD) of a particular structure. A particular road may have many structures along its length.
Another worksheet called “Road_Number_of_Lanes” has data that that indicates how many lanes there are between particular RRDs.
Here is what I am trying to work out...
In the “Structure_Data” worksheet look at the RRD of a structure and the number of the road it is on, then look up the road number on the Road_Number_of_Lanes worksheet; look at the ‘Start RRD’ and the ‘End RRD’ and return the number of lanes for that particular RRD.
“Structure_Data” worksheet
Column C has the Road Number
Column X has the Road Running Distance
“Road_Number_of_Lanes” worksheet
Column A has the Road Number
Column C has the Start Road Running Distance
Column D has the End Road Running Distance
Column E has the number of traffic lanes
My problem is that for example Road Number 1000 starts at 0 and goes to 927.09 (approx 927 km long). There are 27 entries of RN 1000 i.e. from 0 to 411.69 there are 2 lanes, from 773.62 to 774.85 there are 3 lanes and from 774.85 to 778.09 it goes back to 2 lanes.
How can I find out how many lanes of traffic there is at a particular structures location.

You have an array and a range of the same size and you have to put the array values into the range, something like this:
Dim i As Integer
Dim myCell As Range
Dim myArray(10) As Double
i=0
For Each myCell In Range("A")
myCell.Value = myArray(i)
i = i + 1
Next myCell
except that this code looks a bit awkward to me.

I have a list of names from cell A1:A10 in sheet "Input." Each of these names has its own corresponding sheet in the workbook. I want to be able to run the same exact VBA code for each sheet. In other words, I am trying to get my name variable to automatically change to the next value on sheet "Input." I'm sure this is pretty simple to do, but I can't seem to find anything that works!

I am trying to use the INDIRECT function to look up values on a range of other worksheets. I have a column of data in col A which is essentially a lot of different worksheet names. On each worksheet I need to use VLOOKUP to find a value.
Easier to show formulas. This is an example of what I want to recreate:
=VLOOKUP(O2, test!B3:C13,2,FALSE)
I want to replace the text "test" with the text in column A. So the first INDIRECT formula looks like this:
=INDIRECT("VLOOKUP(O2, " &A1& "!B3:C13,2,FALSE)")
Which to me looks like it should work but I get a #REF! error. I've tried various permutations, e.g. having the INDIRECT part of the formula located in a different place (next to the "test" text) but run in to similar issues.

On this is a column of Categories and a Column of sizes. I want to use these in a user form. The user will select their Category from a drop down list and the second drop down list will include only the sizes that appear next to the chosen category So for example in the attachment if the user chose 'AUD' as a category they would get the size choices of, '2x4 insert', '2x4 replica' and 'A4L' in the other drop down menu.
The master list of sizes will have to remain on a worksheet as this is what other operators will amend from time to time.

I have four named ranges (Segment, Keyword, Impressions and Dropdown) and I would like to create a formula-based ranking of keywords by impressions and clicks. Using the following array formula, I am able to return the correct values for impressions or clicks:
{=LARGE(IF(Segment=DropDown,Impressions),$H7)} where $H7 is the number ranking 1, 2, 3 etc.
My question is what array formula could be used to find which row in the array returned that number and then pulls the data from the same row in the other named ranges?
Essentially find row of {=LARGE(IF(Segment=DropDown,Impressions),$H7)} but return Keyword and Clicks on that row.
Other Notes: I cannot use pivot tables and some values might be the same which would make Vlookups not accurate for duplicate values.

Im using excel 2010 As it's 60 times quicker I was trying to speed up my code and replace all loops by putting the value into an array, and then transfer the array to the worksheet
It seems to be straightforward for math calculations like in this example:

I'm trying to create a macro that can lookup values down a list, find that value within another list and copy the adjacent cells.
The values to look for will always be on the same column and the values to look into will always be in the same range or columns but not always in the same row.
For example.
AI:AI contains a list of ID's which will be manually input every day so they might have a different order.
C:AF has all the data to look into. C always being a list of ID values and I want for every ID found on AI:AI to be search for on C:C: and then once a match is found, I need specific adjancent cell values to be copied next to the ID found on AI.
The values that need to be returned are found on columns B,D,F,G,H,I,J,P,AF and they will always display on those columns.
I've been doing this based on vlookup and INDEX/MATCh formulas but I've come across some limitations for something I want to develop further so I'm trying to do this based on VBA.

Using AVERAGEIF on a row containing both positive and negative values one can easily calculate the Average of only the positive or negative values. I need to filter the 20% outlier on each case, how can I do that with TRIMMEAN ?
This is an example of the current formula using Averageif for the positive values:
=IF(C3=0;0,0001;AVERAGEIF(Auxiliary!B29:BL29;">="&O3))
For now O3 can assumed to be 0.

I have two columns of data, which are constantly being added to. Column A is a unique name (no duplicates) and column B is its corresponding value. In many instances the value in column B is zero. I want to produce a list in column C with the names that have a positive value which will update automatically as names and values are added to column A and B. Is this possible?
