Macro Button To Create New Line?

I have 2 tabs on my spreadsheet. The first has some text at the top in cells A1 and A2, and that's it. The second tab I need a script for. Basically, I need some sort of macro button and a text box. I want people to be able to type some text in a cell or box on the 2nd tab, hit a button, and the text that has just been typed will be copied and pasted in to the next available cell down on the first tab.

For example, say the 1st tab had 'title' written in cell A1, and 'hello' written in cell A2. If I were to go to the 2nd tab, type 'bonjour' in to a cell or text box, and hit a button, the text 'bonjour' would be copied, the script would read the 1st tab and see that cells A1 and A2 already had text in them, and so paste 'bonjour' in to cell A3.

Macro Code To Create Line Graph

I have a macro code that will create line graph referring the data given in defined column A1-C4,

Code with Static column range:-

ActiveSheet.Shapes.AddChart.Select
ActiveChart.SetSourceData Source:=Range("'Sheet2'!$A$1:$C$4")
ActiveChart.ChartType = xlLineStacked

I tried to modify the above code, so it will refer undefined/dynamic data column, but getting an error during execution "Run Time Error - 424:" "Object required"

Macro To Create New Line In Inventory Pointing To Specific File

I created the following macro by recording the macro and going through the steps manually, however I need to make some changes and can't seem to accomplish what I'm trying to do.

The Macro opens a master inventory file, creates a new line, and then links certain column cells in the inventory to corresponding places within the original form (the macro is executed from the original form once it's completed).

Problem is, the macro is written using the form "template" so whenever I save the template as the name of the unique item, it won't update the macro language as well.

What I'm trying to accomplish is when someone opens the template, the save immediately with a different file name, and once the form is completed and the macro is run, it's creating the new line in the inventory pointing to that specific file.

I thought somehow utilizing ThisWorkbook within the macro instead of explicitly using something like

"='[Control Sheets (JOHN TEST).xls]FUND SET_UP PG_1'!R2C3" would accomplish what I'm trying to do.

Which is called within another macro and inserts a button onto sheet Exposure Country, after which the macro it was called from then stops (i.e. End Sub)

What I would like is that when the user clicks on this button it selects another sheet but I'm not sure how to achieve this.

Macro To Create A Graph When Button Pressed?

I have a table of data which contains company names, the number of high risk policies, number of low risk policies, and the percentage of high risk policies (compared to total policies).

What I want to do is for people to be able to select up to six of these companies and press a button that says 'create graph' and it creates a graph which shows the number of high risk and low risk in a stacked bar, and the percentage on a separate axis as a line. I know how to manually create this graph no problem, but to be able to dynamically create one from selected companies would be awesome.

To start with I have created six drop downs where you can select the company name as I image the macro will need to know which companies' data to look for in the source table.

Excel 2010 :: Create Macro Button To Clear Multiple Cells On Multiple Worksheets?

I have attached a test workbook excel 2010 (ignore ref# errors, I've cut the workbook down for uploading purposes) What I would like to do is have a 'Button' on my 'information Sheet' which when clicked would clear certain cells. I have searched the forum but can't find a solution, everyone seems to want to delete rows or columns but I just want to clear certain cells. The workbook will have 11 sheets each named 'caravan 1' through to 'caravan 11' The uploaded test workbook only only has 3 sheets.

On 'caravan 1' (which is slightly different to the other 10) I want to clear the content of cells

B4 & B5
C4, C22 & C41
D4 & D5
E4,E5, E22,E23,E41 &E 42

On all other 'Caravan sheets' I want to clear the contents of cells

D4 & D5
E4, E5, E22, E23, E41 & E42

It would be icing on the cake if it could give a warning such as " are you sure you want to clear these cells" but that isn't really necessary. The worksheets will be password protected, but the cells mentioned above will not be. If it proves too difficult to clear all the cells on all the sheets with one click, then perhaps a simpler solution might be to have a button on each sheet instead

I have a worksheet that I need to be able to easily copy and paste the formula/formatting from the row above, but not the Values entered, (if any). I am using columns A to DG.

I just really need to be able to copy all the formula in these cells down - nothing exciting or fancy.

I've tried formatting as a table as per some searches and that was difficult! My column headings changed, and when I inserted a row, two of the formula's wouldn't copy down - plus the shading and borders went wonky in places.

I have the following code that works just fine half of what I need it to do. The line that adds the text in column A functions correctly but the code for column B fails because column B is empty by default. The goal is to have the information in column B on the same row as column A. As well as adding two more cells on the same row as column A. The two new columns would be E and G and should be in the same row as the information from Column A. with formulas copied from e2 and g2.

Remove Dotted Line Around Option Button

I have created a questionnaire with multiple answers in a userform with multipage.

Everything works fine except on about 10 out of my 30 questions, one of the four answers (all opition buttuns) has a fine dotted line around it.

I really have no clue as to where this line comes from. I have tried deleting the option button and replacing it with a new one. This helped for the concerned button but now the dotted line appeared on another answer of the same question! I have done it several times and each time the dotted line simply shifts from one answer to another but never dissapears! The odd thing is that this only concerns 10 questions, the other 20 are fine...

I am brand new and I don't know a ton about macros and programming in Excel.

What I'm trying to do here in this attached spreadsheet is at the end of inputting my line, I want to hit the tab (marked in red to make it clear where) button in the cell and have it automatically create another blank line but keep the formulas the same.

Basically I just want to avoid having to right click and insert line and then drag the formulas column by column down which is difficult.

I know how to create combo or mixed graphs with line/bars on single axis, and secondary axis. I even know how to do mixed stacked and unstacked columnar charts...

But how do you depict in single view graph

a single bar (1 datapoint) with a single line (upper control limit e.g. target).?

And I don't want to to use shapes to draw the target line.

I want the target line to be automatically plotted by Excel...

Assigning Macro To Each Button To Zip Files Dependent On Button Name?

Context: I have a spreadsheet that contains a list of employee names and their certifications. I want to be able to assign a button to each employee in column B with a macro that is able to zip files from a folder that contains that employees name.

The following code assigns buttons to each employee in column B. At the moment the code I have is able to assign the macro "Zip" to each button.

Now, this Zip macro is able to zip the file for the employee "Anthony Tran". However I need it to be able to recognise which employee's button I've clicked and search the same files as above except with that employees name instead of "Anthony Tran".

If it makes things easier, the code for creating buttons for each employee is able to name that button as the employees name that it represents.

I have a userform, with a save button.

The Save button transfers data from my userform to a worksheet via variables.

It then proceeds to use the variables to generate further data, dependant on a combination of the variables, as this process creates a row of data on the first available empty row, as this script is being used in a loop, ie add another record yes or no.

I need to incorporate a method whereby the user at any point can click on cell S(x) where (x) corresponds to the row clicked, which will then run a macro which will allow me to change a value from OPEN to CLOSED and also add a userentered date into a field called DATECLOSED, it is imperative that this process only work on the row in question.

I want to create a dynamic line graph using week and year numbers stated in another sheet.

e.g.

Start Year - 2012
End Year - 2014

Start Week - 3
End Week - 12

The top 2 rows above my graph data are as below:

Year - 2012 2012 2012
Week - 5 6 7 etc.

This works fine if the start and end year are the same but if it's greater than one year, it doesn't recognise that.

I have this request excel sheet which needs a button to do multi functions:

First the sheet is placed in remote server and had two working sheets (say sheet 1 and sheet two), in sheet one there are fields must be filled by the user and a sequence number must be issued for each request.

1- when the button clicked the request serial number must be added by one (counter).
2- log the new serial number, user name and datetime in sheet 2.
3-save the sheet on local pc
4- disable the button after click so that the user could not click the button twice for one request.
