I copy a workbook from a master workbook once copied the modules are not copied but sheet modules exist after copying.
Can I have in a sheet module that will prompt a message box to open and ask to copy the amount of worksheets from the number in cell M5 in Sheet 1 Sheet 2 cell M5 will also contain a number also the other sheets will to Print that qty. of sheets from the workbook. these sheets are name sheet1, sheet2, sheet3 and etc.
But, there are other sheets I would only need 1 or 2 print outs these sheets have names in the tabs.
I have attached the xls. I have an input sheet with 3 columns to enter data. Each column is linked to a separate worksheet with a formula (Carrys 1000 rows long). I need to be able to pull the populated data from those 3 worksheets and paste into 1 column continuously on another worksheet so all data is on top of another without any spaces.
I made an if statement so that if there isn't data pulling from the input sheet the a blank cell is left to indicate the last row to copy data from and paste on the final sheet.
Print sheet 1, 3 and 7. Always print sheet 1, however only print sheet 3 and 7 if there in these sheets are values in the cells from row 8 and below.
(If that is to complicated it would be ok if the condition for printing sheet 3 and 7 is that there's a value in e.g. cell A8.)
I managed to create this script that allows me to print sheets 1, 3 and 7, however I can't seem to find out where to put the if-statement (I suppose that's how you do it?). Here's the script i created so far:
My goal is to macro the creation of pivot tables into seperate worksheets based on each particular record in the "Office" (location). Ultimately, I will apply an email macro to send out each pivot table (and source data if necessary) to various recipients. I need to make sure that each recipient of a pivot table is limited to only drill into the detail for their particular "Office" and not able to view other location's information in the Source Data worksheet--is this possible, or do I need to create separate source data worksheets for each Office's pivot table in order to limit the viewing?
Items I need guidance on: Creating a macro to breakout pivot tables into seperate worksheets based on "Office" locationPlease advise on how I can secure Pivot Tables so that the user can only drill into the information originally presented in the pivot table they receive and will not be allowed to view all of the source data. Please find attached a file with my source data and an example of a pivot table for one of the Office locations (Chicago).
I need to copy all the work sheets into one single work sheet (mastersheet). The source work sheets are having same column structure. The condition which i need to take care of is that after column 3 if at all there is any data till column 10 then in the destination mastersheet these should be copied in different rows with first two columns repeated. I need to do this using VBA macro.
I have 1 workbook, with 3 sheets. Sheet1 (EVER) has 3000+ rows and 12 columns of customer information. This sheet is for all customers who have ever placed an order. Sheet2 (06-07) has 1500+ rows and 12 columns of customer information. This sheet has all customers who have placed an order in the last 2 years. Sheet3 has 1 row, which consists of the column titles (12 columns) that are on Sheet1 and Sheet2. I need to put all customers that are on Sheet1, but not on Sheet2 in Sheet3. I have tried VLookup; advanced Filter and a number of codes in the last 3 days and have not been able to figure this out.
I am looking for a macro that will, upon command, print all sheets (20+) in the workbook with a value greater than $0.00 in cell I27. Some have a value there, others don't.
user form that has a list box that only picks up visual worksheet (not hidden ones) and then allows the user to select which ones to print via check boxes.
Excel 2010. I have a workbook that has multiple sheets where some have headers and others do not. Some sheets are static in that no user input is required and others are dynamic so the toal number of pages per worksheet may vary based on how much information the user inputs.
An example:
Sheet 1 is static and requires no input, it does not have a header or a page number. For compliance reasons this sheet must be printed on top of all the other sheets in this policy
Sheet 2 is dynamic. This sheet can range from 2 pages to 5 pages depending on user input. This sheet must have page numbers starting with 1 and it must have a header on page 2 through the last page, but no header on page 1.
I am currently using a worksheet_activate sub to input data into the headers and footers of sheet 2. This works very well and puts the data where I want it to go just by using the "Different First Page" option in the headers design tab.
The problem arises when I select both sheets to print. Excel now thinks Sheet1 is the first page, so the first page of sheet 2 now has a header and the page number beings at 2 instead of 1.
Where I can stop this from happening?
Current sub:
Code: Private Sub Worksheet_Activate() ' If WS is activated, place information in header Application.ScreenUpdating = False 'Policy #
[Code] ..........
As I said, this works all well and good for when I'm just printing Sheet2 but when I have to print Sheet 1 & 2 together, it no longer prints the way it should. There are times when Sheet 2 will be the first page of the overall document but there are a few instances where it will be second to Sheet 1 and I run into this issue. Is there a way to specifically reference which headers/footers the code will input the data?
I am trying to find a way to print an "entire workbook", but have each of the sheets paged as a group separate from the rest. One workbook typically has up to 20 sheets, with each sheet up to roughly 8 pages. I need each sheet set to show page 1 of 8 or page 5 of 8, not page 22 of 53. Counting and typing in the total number of pages in each sheet's footer is too cumbersome. Also, printing each sheet individually has also been cumbersome when printing to PDF. Are there any other ways to have the "&[Pages]" function only reflect the number of pages within the sheet instead of in the entire workbook?
I have four sheets workbook, and i'd like to set a command button that prints scattered tables ( ranges) on my workbook but still have a pattern.
I attached a simple wokbook that explains how ranges are positioned in my workbook, i hope that it is possible to print these tables in the sequence shown in the file by a single command.
I want is a constant separation of two lists by 3 rows, one above another in one sheet. I have illustrated my desired change-and-results through the following images and hopefully they are self-explanatory.
I think its important to explain that I want the macro activated by the change of results in Column A in sheet2.
Current Sheet1 Current Sheet2 Current Sheet1 with Formulas Current Sheet2 with Formulas Sheet2's 1st Change (Time) Sheet1 Response to Sheet2's 1st Change (Time)
i want to ask if are some way to do it , to show 2 sheets in 1 sheet , because what i am trying to do is , with VBA copy table with pictures from database sheet to printing sheet , add blank columns and create another table in that blank area , and got this problem that formating goes crazy , because each table need different row heights. Maybe there is any way to copy my database sheet and paste special that it don't cares what i will do with row heights?
I would like to do is have 2 listboxes. In the first listbox I would like the name of all the worksheets which contain the words "elective class: " in cell C7.
In the second listbox I would like the name of all the worksheets which do not contain the words "elective class: " in C7. I need this only to source from worksheet 7 onwards however.
The listboxes are called ListBox1 and ListBox2 respectively.
Also I am using this to print and I have a button which currently selects all the data in the first listbox and another button which prints all the selected data. The code being used for this is:
I have a program that has all Excel Workbooks in seperate instances of Excel. There is a very sound reason for doing this.
The user has maybe 3 to 10 workbooks open. There are times when a workbook is active and has a Macro Link to open one of the already open workbooks.
When the user clicks the link, they naturally get an error message stating that the workbook is already open. Then they have to close the error msg and click on the Macrosoft Tab and look thru the list of open workbooks and then click the one they are looking for. Additionally, in this Menu Program the user really doesn't even have to know the name of the various workbooks.
I hope everyone will believe me when I state that this program works berautifully.
Right now I am simply cleaning up and making a few little things work better.
QUESTION When the user clicks on a macro link that is to open a workbook that is already open, how - On error - can I have the macro continue on and activate the requested workbook - - - Please remember they are all in separate instances of Excel.
Since the code I'm using can determine if the requested workbook is already open, I think there has to be a way to activate that workbook.
I am trying to create code for a Macro that will compare items in two seperate lists in a spreadsheet, and eliminate all entries that do not appear in both lists.
I have cells in a column that record time in date. Unformatted it would appear as 19789.51407 but formatted to show time and date it would as appear as 3/6/54 12:20 PM. I am making graphs with the data and I want the title of my x axis to read "GMT Time (mm/dd/yyyy - mm/dd/yyyy)" or "GMT Time (mm/dd/yyyy)" depending on if the event spans more then one day. Using the following code, it almost accomplishes this.
Dim strDate As String Range("CO3").Value = Range("A3").Value Range("CP3").Value = Range("A" & Drag).Value Range("CO3:CP3").NumberFormat = "m/d/yyyy" If Range("CO3").Value = Range("CP3").Value Then strDate = "GMT Time (" & Range("CO3") & ")" Else If Range("CO3").Value < Range("CP3").Value Then strDate = "GMT Time (" & Range("CO3") & " - " & Range("CP3") & ")" End If End If
Where "Drag" is a variable that signifies the total number of cells in the column; ie the first and last dates. It compares the values and saves the results as a string. The problem is that when the string is saved it saves the date in mm/dd/yyyy hh/mm/ss. How can i separate the date from the time so I can have the title of my x axis appear as i need them?
I would like to know if there is a way to print several different workbooks at once but keeping my printing format which I would like to be Landscape and Fit to one page. Reason is simple as I work in a office where staff is handed in several jobs to do everyday. They finish the jobs and log all the info on the database. I log on to database and put all their daily diaries and because it is all over the place I have to go in each file and set printing preferences which takes an hour in the morning and hour in the evening. I could do with some sort of automation where all diaries are automatically printed in Landscape and Fit on one page.
I have a report that is generated from a manufacturing process that looks like the example below. the report is 40 pages long when all the data is printed. i am looking for a way to only print this range if a dimension is "out of tolerance". if the dimension is within tolerance, there is always the "garbage" text of plus and minus. if every row is "within tolerance" in the range the cells in the OutTol column would all contain the "garbage" text but it will not always be identical. so, in summary, actual OutTol values = print and all "garbage" = not printed.
I have a workbook that has a print button on it. The print button macro prints many tabs on the workbook. But, on ONE of the tabs, it inserts information from a range of cells, prints, goes to the next cell in that range and prints, until complete.
The problem I'm having is this: When there is only ONE cell in that range that has information in it, it gets stuck in a continuous loop and prints a ton of blank pages.
I have tried to record the steps in a macro that are involved in printing a worksheet to a PDF. It recorded everything up to and including hte printer selection. However, it did not record the filename dialog box actions and beyond.
I have a table which I wish to print out, however I wish to print two copies of this table, one with only the rows which contain "AM" in column X, and one with the rows that contain "PM" in column X. There is also another complication in that several rows on the spreadsheet, containing data in column X, are hidden. The print range is everything between A3 & AG120.
I tried using a filter but found it unhid all the hidden rows and printed them out which I don't want.
I am working with excel 2003. I get a workbook sent to me via Email that has 12 tabs on it and each tab has to be printed out. The fastest way that I know, to get this done is start with tab 1; hit alt+f, u, alt+f, enter, Ctrl+P, enter, Ctrl+page down ( to move to next tab and do it all over again), each tab is a slightly different width so I am constantly have to use "Fit to Page" but each tab will fit on one page easy.
I was wondering can I use a key stroke macro to print this workbook. I actually get 5 workbooks like this every night, it does not really take that long, maybe I am just being lazy, I was thinking that I might be able to use a key stroke macro and then name it for what ever workbook it works with (workbook 1 print ) but I don't no if this will work or if there is an easier way to get the printing job done.
I can't upload the workbook but I could create a simple say 5 tab workbook that has no data in but has same formatting and upload that if you need to see what I am doing.
