Macro To Copy Data From Worksheet To Another


I have one worksheet called WEEKS.xls which lists weeks 1 to 8, week1 being columns A,B,C, week2 being D,E,F, and so on up to week 8

I have another work sheet called supplier.xls which is a worksheet imported from a database. In this worksheet I have columns A to Q. I am only interested in the data in columns C, P & Q.

I have buttons along the top in the WEEKS.xls sheet, one for eack week. On week one when the button is clicked I would like a macro that would look in folder “Supplier Stock” for the worksheet suppliers.xls and then take the data from columns C,P,Q and paste them into the WEEKS.xls in columns A,B,C. On week 2 the data will be pasted into D,E,F and so on. On the supplier.xls there is a few gaps down the sheet , like row 15 & 16 and alo 19 & 20 if possible I don’t want the gaps in the WEEKS.xls. Also on column P it is a date format I would like that pasted into the WEEKS.XLS in a dd/mm/yy format

Copy Between Worksheets Doesn't Work (look For A Certain Value In Worksheet A And Copy That Row Of Data To Worksheet B)
look for a certain value in worksheet A and copy that row of data to Worksheet B.

However, it seems to be only copying the row in worksheet A and pasting it. Is there something that a noob VBA scripter has missed out?

Macro To Copy Six Specific Columns From One Worksheet To Another Worksheet
What I am trying to do is to write a macro that will automatically copy six columns from worksheet (Sheet 1) to another worksheet (Sheet 2). i.e. ‘Description of Project’, ‘WBS Code’, ‘Rate’, ‘Employee Name’, ‘Premium’, ‘Invoice’, ‘Status’, ‘Total Cumulative Hours’, ‘Total Cumulative Amount’ from Worksheet (from Sheet 1 to Sheet 2)

The problem arises as I know the names of the columns to be copied in Sheet 1 (as details above) but they can be in any order in sheet 1.

In additional the columns ‘Total Cumulative Hours’, ‘Total Cumulative Amount’ are total columns so when they are copied from ‘Sheet 1’ to ‘Sheet 2’ their values should be copied as opposed to the formulas

Copy Selected Data From Worksheet To Different Worksheet
As I am managing a few projects at once, I would like to create a To Dos List for each project (seperated by different worksheets). To make my life a bit easier, I hope to show all the To Dos which is due on a particular day on a separate worksheet. In other words, I am hoping to write a macro which allows me to copy all the relevant To Dos (of that day) from different worksheets and compiled it into a single list on a new worksheet.

Note:

1) Each row of To Do contains 3 columns, Date, Priority and Descriptions.
2) The To Dos for each project are NOT arrange in sequence by dates.
3) Number of project will increase over time, therefore the number of worksheets will also increase.

Macro: Copy From One Worksheet To Another
I have a workbook with two worksheets - Catalogue Request Summary (CRS) and Presentation Server Types (PST). The PST page is basically a form with validated entry fields, hence the information is updated constantly. The CRS is a summary tablised version of the information in the PST page.

I have setup a macro which copies across the information from the PST sheet and pastes into the CRS sheet. The problem is that when the macro is run, it over-writes the information instead of pasting the new data into the next row.

So basically I need the macro so that will copy any new information to a new row in the CRS page whenever new information has been added to the PST page the the button clicked.

I know it would be a lot easier if there was an attachment but there doesnt seem to be the option. Please pm your email address so I can send it through.

Macro To Copy Worksheet To Another Workbook
if it is possible, and how to go about it.

Copy worksheets from many workbooks to one Master workbook, which will be used to aggregate the data. I need a macro to do this, which will automatically name the worksheet it creates (using information from one of the cells).

The second part of my problem is that it needs to be smart enough to recognise if the worksheet that is being copied, has previously been copied to the master. If it has, it should overwrite the original worksheet rather than create a new one.

I need to come up with a macro code to copy 2 worksheet from 2 workbooks to my current workbook. I do not know what is the code such that i can copy different worksheets from other workbooks to a currently opened workbook.

Copy Data From 1 Worksheet To Another
I have a worksheet with column a-e. Column e has data that says it is either closed or open. I was wanting to run a macro that would move the entire row that has the work closed in column e# into another worksheet also named closed. Please see the below for example;

Copy Data From One Worksheet To Another
What i've got is a spreadsheet that has a number of two worksheets one called premiership and another called stats, what i do is get data from 2 different websites and put that on stats worksheet by importing it.

Now this where it gets complicated, in stats when the data is download i wont to copy three cells to a specific location in the premiership worksheet. So in the stats worksheet, whats in column A and E needs to match whats in B and C in premiership and then copy information from cells in B,C,D in stats to cells in premiership G, H, I. AT this moment in time i do it manually, can this be done?

Code To Copy Data From One Worksheet To Another
I have two workbooks: Workbook1 has two sheets – Cash Register and Suppliers; and Workbook2 has one sheet – Clients. The users of Workbook2 do not have access to Workbook1, and information entered in Workbook2 is required (and has to be manually re-entered) in Workbook1.

I tried IFs and VLOOKUPs to pull the data, but due to the large number of cells, the workbook is awfully slow – taking a very long time to save (even with Automatic Calculation/Recalculate before save turned off).

I am using Excel 2007.

This is what I am trying to achieve:

When a user enters an ID number, which begins with either “S” (e.g., SB-00010) or “P” (e.g., PADA-012-034-0567), in column E of Cash Register:

If that ID number begins with “S”, I want the code to look up that ID number in column A of Suppliers and copy the corresponding cell from each of the following columns:

Smartest Way To Copy Data From Other Worksheet
First of all I think I know a way how to do this, I just don't know whether it is the smartest way.

I've got data in cell A5 to cell ALastRow (for instance A40). Same for B5 to BLastRow, C5 to CLastRow. Well you get the picture.

This data must be copied to another worksheet if cell E or F contain data. If cells E and F are empty the data must not be copied.

My plan:

In the worksheet where the data must be copied to, I will pass a variable which indicates the LastRow. That way I know when I have to stop checking cells E and F.

I will write a loop which activates the source worksheet, checks cells E and F and, if neccesary, stores the content in variables. Then I will active the target worksheet and write the content to the appropriate cells.

The loop will keep going until it has reached the last row of the source worksheet.

Is this a good approach or is there a more efficient way to go about this?

Copy Worksheet Web Data To Another Workbook
I have 2 workbooks, workbook 1 and workbook 2. Workbook 1 and workbook 2 have many worksheets but both also contain an identical worksheet named MyData. In workbook 1, I copy and paste data into MyData from a source on the internet which is already in grid (table) format, so each cell has its seperate content.

The data in MyData, I clear on a daily basis; As I paste data into workbook 1, I would like it to also paste into MyData in workbook 2, and If I clear data in MyData from workbook 1, then I want it to also clear in MyData from workbook 2. I basically need the worbook 2 "MyData worksheet" to mock workbook 1 "MyData worksheet". The data starts from cell a:5 to m:5, and length will depend on amount of data I receive from the internet source

I know I can copy and paste, but I am trying to create these workbooks with as much efficiency as possible as there are alot more steps involved with gathering information for these workbooks. If data can be mocked with the option of having workbook 2 open or closed.

I really appreciate help from the excel gurus and expert here on my little problem. I'm rarely using excel and have a very little knowledge on VBA programming.In short, I've been requested to develop a shift schedule for my department that can automate the shift staff schedule on the monthly basis.

I've created two worksheet of which the first worksheet is represent as master data list (INPUT Worksheet) that contain with formulas. While the other worksheet is the automated shift data (REPORT Worksheet) that linked from the master data list (INPUT Worksheet).

Attached herewith is a sample of my work. As you can see,I wanted to copy comments from the input worksheets (on DUTY column) so that it will then automatically appears or updated in the shift schedule. Whenever the dropdown selection change, the data will change accordingly. On the REPORT worksheet, each cells, range D14:AH38 are referring to DUTY column month by month. I'm able to link it but it fails to copy over the comments as well. I believe that macro can resolve this, can someone help me on this?

i am making a spreadsheet for recording employee telesales activity each day.
administrators will update a shared workbook each day with the information

employee names are across the top and the activities are down the side (calls, CVs sent, interviews, meetings) each day has it's own block of data. on a friday I would like to run a macro to select these blocks and paste them into the first free row on a separate worksheet.

i have something similar working elsewhere which copies one column and pastes that into the last free column of a new sheet but i have no idea how to do it for rows going down a page. I have attached a file example to clarify.

Under the name I need the text Authorization #: then the data(C3)
Under that I need the text Dates of Service Expiration: then the data (D5)
Then the text 90801 Balance: then the data from (C30)
Then the text 90806 Balance: then the data from (F30)
Then the text 90847 Balance: then the data from (I30)
Then the text 90853 Balance: then the data from (L30)

Then a couple Spaces then the same exact data from the next sheet...till all the work sheets are done.....is it possible?

Copy Cell Data Within Workbook To A Different Worksheet
I have a workbook 'logsheet' were i enter data like 'coil, supplier, thickness, width' and 'lot'. This happens 7 times on one logsheet. When the logsheet is filled, a new copy is created (from a hidden empty logsheet).

I want this data to copied to a seperate sheet - eg called data - in same workbook so that it can be used in other workbooks as external data.

I want to enter a formula on the logsheet worksheets and not on the data logsheet because the amount of logsheets (and coils) is unkown and can vary each lot.
Is this possible with formulas eg copyto? (if that formula exists ><)
Is it possible to add data from worksheets that still have to be created from the empty logsheet

Copy Data Meeting Criteria To Another Worksheet
I have eight locations that appear on a single spreadsheet/Text file. I need to separate based on the Property ID for each location and then paste the result into a separate sheet for each one. I have arrange the code to look for each property ID and then copy the found data, but I am having a problem. The first find and Copy drops the first row but adds two to the end, so I am getting data for the next company. The second problem is that the second set of found data is appended to the size of the first found set. ( The first set is 3,570 rows, the second set is 2,646 rows. When Resized 6,216 rows are copied ) I can't seem to figure out how to reset the found range.

I have found the following code on this forum that has really worked well. This code matches the first two columns of two worksheets and inputs them into a third worksheet. But I need to be able to copy up to five more columns, a total of seven columns and have it input into the third worksheet. I have one master worksheet named "Season" and 30 other worksheets named "1,2,3,4 and so on to 30". I ideally want to copy the shapes (msoShapeOval) from the worksheets- "1-30" to worksheet- "Season". When the shapes (msoShapeOval) are copied from worksheets "1-30"

I want them to keep thier position that they were in when copied to worksheet- "Season".

Copy Worksheet Data For Matching Headings On Another Sheet
I have some specific requirement and it would be great if I could do it through macro. Also attached a sample excel file for the requirement. I have raw data in a worksheet (WS1) that I receive daily from factory. There is another sheet in a different workbook (WS2) that has format specified on how to display this raw data. The order of raw data on WS1 remains same. The question is that how do I replace the format titles with raw data?

For example, in the attached excel sheet, sheet "data" has list of values. Sheet "format" says how to display data. Sheet "output" is output that I finally want to generate. The sheet "data" will always have data in the same order. I need to read values and replace the format title ( name, age etc) with corresponding values on "data" sheet.

I've tried my best to describe my dilema. I import data in an SQL query from a mainframe. This data shows a job number, site address, job number and a length. Multiple lengths on the same site appear as separate entries. I use a pivot table to calculate a total length and also formulas to determine whether a site is in an East or West area. I then need to then be able to copy the 'East' jobs to an 'East' worksheet and the 'West' jobs to the 'West' worksheet. But, I only want a site to appear once with the total length.

VBA Code To Copy Data From Text Box And Input Into A Cell In Another Worksheet
This is probably far easier then I am making it but I need to take the information that is in a textbox created through the control toolbox and copy and paste that information into a cell on different tab in the workbook. For Example in the Master Data there are Several SM names listed. I need to extract the "ID" and "Agent" columns in the Master and populate into the workshhet with the Approriate name tab. The Master list changes regularly.

Copy Data From Multiple Worksheets & Append To Single Worksheet
I have several exel workbooks (.xls files) and each workbook contains multiple worksheets. The number of worksheets and their names are variable. Each worksheet is formated in the same way. Now I want to copy an specific cell range on each worksheet and copy it into a single worksheet.

For example let assume that we have a a workbook called temperature.xls. This file contains 4 worksheets named: 40-1, 40-3, 40-5#, and 40-22. I want to copy a specific cell range (F46:O47) from all the worksheets in the workbook temperature.xls and paste only the values on a summary worksheet. This summary worksheet can be in the same workbook or in different one. I just wanted to add that I want to repeat this process 15 more times to summarize all my data containing workbooks. On average each workbook contains 35 worksheets so it is a tedious manual process.

Copy Worksheet Data By Condition/Criteria To Respective Named Sheets
Now what I am looking to do is search my spreadsheet for specific criteria and then copy and paste these rows of information to a new sheet.

In my first spreadsheet that I am using as a database, I want to be able to select any entry from the month and copy it to another spreadsheet named for that criteria.

In other words, I want to find every entry for January, copy just that data's rows and paste them to the January spreadsheet, February to February, etc. My date fields are in column A.

I also want to do the same with representatives names found in column B.

This will break down the data for each rep and each month. Using the filter, then copy and pasting would be cumbersome.

Worksheet Copy: Method 'Copy' Of Object 'Worksheet' Failed
I have written code that allows a user to copy, via a button, a certain sheet any number of times. They can choose to copy that sheet 5 times and then 10 times, etc.

When the sheet tries to be copied for the 17th time, it fails with the following message: "Run-time error '1004':
Method 'Copy' of object '_Worksheet' failed"

Here is the code that I have. The second line is the line that is failing.

Worksheets("RoedForm").Select
Worksheets("RoedForm").Copy After:=Worksheets(iCount)

This always fails on the 17th copy regardless of how many different combinations of copy sheets the user tries. There are several sheets before the sheet that is to be copied and I have deleted several of those to see what happens and it still fails on the 17th copy. I also have 1GB of memory, so I don't believe that memory is an issue.

Function/formula To Copy/past Multiple Data Rows In Excel Worksheet
I am trying to find a way to copy and paste multiple non concurrent rows of data from one spreadsheet to another.

Ex: I have a large worksheet with approx 20,000 rows of data. I need to copy
and paste every 100th row to a new worksheet.

I think this might be possible by setting up a formula and linking worksheets,
but I'm not exactly sure how to do it.

Combining Worksheet Data (macro)
I have about 600 patients' charts, which I audit every 3-6 months. I have created a macro which imports each patient's workbook into a single workbook (one worksheet per patient). Now I'm trying to create a macro which will import each patient's most recent audit results onto one worksheet. Here's how the results are organized:

...etc., with each audit taking up 3 columns and 32 rows. My code, however, is not working,
