Mark Duplicate Values :: Insert Word Duplicate Next To Row

I am using the following macro to insert the word "Duplicate" in the first blank column next to a duplicate row. My data is sorted by the first column. Data Example:
12345 a
12345 a DUPLICATE
11111 b
23123 b
Here is the macro I am using and it does not work. It marks the first duplicate it finds then goes into an infinite loop. Any Idea where I went wrong?

I have a worksheet that has 3 duplicate values in a particular column, I need a macros that will highlight two of the duplicates row and then another macro to delete the entire row. The duplicate element are in column R. find attached worksheet.

I am trying to create a column to match duplicate information, primarily numbers, so I can delete the duplicate information. Using the Find option is too time consuming. I am pasteing the new info above the previous weeks info. Some years ago I used a formula that would "Match" a range and I believe it would copy the duplicate in the empty column but it's been so long I am not certain nor do I remeber the formula. I've tried using the filter feature and looked at previous post but I am not familiar enough to know how to decipher the info given.

I have 4 columns in my spreadsheet. I am trying to find any duplicates that may exist in Col A, sum values in Col D, then delete the entire row. So far my sheet before I run my vba code is this.

I have some code but I still need to do a considerable amount of tweaking to it. Currently my code is only deleting the duplicate values in Col A. I am having difficulty summing the values in Col D as well as deleting the entire row.

I have a approx. 70 excel sheets with thousands of entries. Within a single sheet there are some duplicate entries (based on an account number). I find the duplicate entries by using the excel 2007 conditional formating and then sort by color to only show the duplicate entries. There are often hundreds of accounts that are duplicates. Sometimes there are more than 2 identical account duplicates (could be 3,4 or more). In each entry there is a number representing the rating of said account. These numbers differ within the duplicates. Example............
I am trying to find a formula that will choose a "winner" and enter a "W" based on the highest rating within the duplicate entries and then ideally assign an "L" to the loser duplicate account(s). Sometimes there is no rating, other times the rating could be the same in which case any account (does not matter) can be assigned a "W" and the others an "L"

Attached is an example of an excel spreadsheet I have which details all the referrals created within my organisation over 2013. I want to be able to create two excel formulas which basically looks at a duplicate tag and then determines if the duplicate referral was created within 30 days of other referrals created for the same patient and then another formula to check to see if the duplicate referral is for the same medical condition. Also if possible I would love a third formula which would say check duplicate, 30 days and same condition and enter a "Yes" in a forth column.Referrals.xls

I have a spreadsheet with 3300 rows. In column A there is a list of company names and in column H there is a corresponding Sales Rep name.Column A has many duplicate company names. I would like to run a macro that will find the a company name and then delete all the rest of the rows that contain that same company name.

I have a 4 column sheet, column B has many cells with identical data. I want to delete all the rows that that have duplicate data in column B.

Worksheet excel with multiple lines and colums. I need a macro to automatically insert a new Line where the cursor is located, and duplicate data from previous cells: let say cursor is located L10, macro will insert L11, and duplicate L10 -C1 data to L11 -C1. I have a macro that does this function, but the Line insertion is always at the same line.May be the macro should "read" first the cursor position, Lx and then move down +1 line prior to duplicate the data.

I have to create 1000 dynamic ranges and do not want to do this manually. See the list below for the syntax I am using, I am only showing the first 10.

I have tried the following code which works to an extent...

..but the final result of the named range is an actual range, i.e. "A1:A13".
How can I keep the named range as a dynamic range?

I have been able to make a excel sheet which takes inputs from userform for First Name, Last Name, Address etc. I have included a duplicate check for column "B" for "First Name". This checks if any existing data is already which matches the new data input for "First Name" through userform.
The userform only checks for the "First Name" check as required and gives a message that duplicate has been found. Then I have to close the userform and do a Control Key+F ( to find the new name for example, James) in excel sheet and validate that new name is same or different from existing name "James". This I want to do since this new name "James" may be another "James" as his "Last Name" is different. So even though First Name is same, since Last Name is different I know they are two different persons. In that case I will add the entry manually in sheet, instead of userform, since I would not be able to input the new data for "James" since the duplicate check with the current code will not allow me to do so.
What I am current trying is -
1. If the new name say "James" is entered through userform, then excel should point me to the existing row where the record for existing name "James" is there, say row 4.
2. Now without closing userform I should be able to see in the background excel sheet the search results for "James", as excel is pointing to that now. There may be multiple "James" in the existing which should be pointed out.
3. Based on the results that I see in the background excel sheet I can now decide that, this new name "James" is different from old "James" (of row 4) since his Last Name is different. Accordingly excel code should then ask me to add this record or discard this new record.
4. Duplicate check for First Name is enough for me. I would not require "Last Name" duplicate check.
I hope I have been able to explain my problem. I have also attached my current code as I am not able to attach any sample test file.

I'm trying to rank the values in cells S32:S38 in ascending order while ignoring zeros and negative values. I also need to rank duplicate values with a unique ranking, so that no ranking value is repeated. I tried the formula below, but the ranking values start at "2" instead of "1" and I can't figure out how to fix it.

I have data that looks like this:

How do you write an excel macro that looks at the number in the first column (day #) and finds all the duplicate id#s in the second column that are in day 1and adds the amounts together in the 3rd column then writes the first column number (day#), second column number(id#) and the third column (sum of the amounts of duplicate Id#) to an new worksheet. Then the macro would loop through day #2 and do the same thing. Notice that the values in the id column are unique in this data set below this is how I would like the data to look. I have accomplished this in a pivot table but my problem is I need a cvs file to export the final data into an external database which is why I need a macro.....

I am currently busy with a material tracking sheet. The sheet tracks all the material from fabrication to being released from painters.
My problem is that in a summary sheet that I created, I used vlookup to get the exact value of the item number that was released.

The problem arises where I have more than one of any rank, the next rank skips a number. I need to have a list of sequential numbers and therefore can't have any numbers missing.

I have an interesting problem where I am trying to display a list of top ten ranked items and I have multiple items tying for a rank, creating two or more values for one rank.
I have a table that shows the ranking, numbers 1 to 10. I'm using a vlookup formula to find the rank and return the corresponding name from my data table.
The problem I have is there are two that are tied for 3rd place, so I have two ranking at three. The current table looks something like this:
1 Warren
2 Stan
3 Mike
4 #N/A
5 Dan
I can change my table so that the numbers on the left are dynamic so it will display the number 3 twice if there are multiples of the same ranking, but when I do my lookup I'm still stuck.
Is there a way to return the second "3" on the lookup? Or is there a better way to solve the issue?

I have multiple columns / rows of data, some of which are duplicates.
Column S is a concat of columns A:R where this data is stored, and is sorted alphabetically.
I'm looking for a way using VBA to find duplicate concat rows by cycling through this list that is already sorted. I'm interested in moving down this list, 1 by 1, and if current cell = cell above, delete the data in columns A:P of that row, then delete the cell data in column R of the cell above the current cell.
So for example, if I have sorted data in S8:S14, and S9 = S8, then I would like to delete A9:P9, then delete the data in R8.

I have been able to use the SUMPRODUCT function but dont have the knowledge to build upon this to take the second column value into consideration.

I have a list of about 1,000 rows with multiple columns. Each row represents a unique person and the columns represent codes that were assigned to them. I have merged two sets of codes together to create this list, so some people (rows) may have duplicate codes. I would like to be able to delete all duplicate values from each individual person (row) so any given code only shows up once for a person.
