Matching Y Axis Of Graphs?
Jun 18, 2014I have two graphs, graph 1 and graph 2.
The y-axis of graph 1 is set to Auto.
My question: is there anyway to get graph 2's y-axis to change to whatever graph 1's y-axis is automatically?

Excel 2012 :: Bar Graphs With Two Different Axis

I am trying to create two vertical axis bar graphs with the Primary axis for period Q1 to Q4 and the secondary axis for FY. I have attached what I have done so far and have successfully converted all but one FY bar graph to secondary axis. Once I try to select the last one (dark gray bar called "2011 FY" on the very far right), the FY bars disappears.
My main purpose is to get both Q1-Q4 & FY on the same graph and the reason I plotted FY on the secondary axis is because I didn't want the FY $ scale to massively skew the entire graph.

Conditionally Format Axis Labels On Graphs
Apr 2, 2013I am putting together a graph and my manager wants the companies with a zero value in the bar chart to stand out (0 = really good). The only thing I could think of was making the individual x-axis label's font turn green if value was zero. Is there any way to accomplish this? (Additional: This chart will be updated every month with new data so I do not want to change by hand every month).

1) How do make values on x-axis as words? E.g. apples, oranges, etc.

Multiple Graphs On One Screen And Moving Graphs
Feb 12, 2014i have attached a sheet where I have 4 graphs on one sheet. I prefer this to an overlay. I would like to add a 5th graph but it would make all the the graphs too small. Is there a way to make the graph background longer. For instance, extend the length of this so that I can put multiple graphs on it and then just scroll from top to bottom to review them? Also, how do I copy and paste these individual graphs into a newly created graph. copy/paste doesn't work on these?

Mar 1, 2014I have a spreadsheet with golfers handicaps, golfers names down the left in column A in rows 3-35. Row 2 has the event numbers titles 1 to 18 (18 events in a year). i need a graph that has the person as the vert axis and the horizontal axis needs to be the event numbers, so i can read down for the person and across to see how there handicaps change from each different event. i have attached the data below.

The category (x) axis title should be horizontal, whereas the value (y) axis title should be rotated. Stepping through the code, when I .SetElement for the category axis title, it appears horizontal as planned. However, as soon as I .SetElement for the rotated value axis title, the category axis title also rotates.

I need the two x axis to be pressure and solubility and the y axis to be velocity, with the data being demonstrated by a single plot (I have only managed it with two plots which does not demonstrate solubility's relationship to pressure ).
For example at a pressure of 200 PSIA (lower x-axis) and solubility of 0.024 mol % (upper x-axis) velocity was found to be 1 m/s.

1. I need to add a rank axis derived from my data column (C6-C15). This column should rank from highest to lowest and create a tie if any number is repeated. I have arranged the rank column in cells B38:L38 as they would appear. I would like this to appear on the top or bottom of the bar graphs.
2. Second I need to add the frequency of hits which = 3 derived from cell J1 This should appear on the chart were it is currently titled. This should create another bar graph colored green and labeled 3.

Compiling Partially Matching Data Into Matching Rows With Macro
Jan 20, 2013My task is to combine two large databases into one spreadsheet by extending the number of columns. The data from each database is 90% matching based on an identification number, however occasionally there are additional rows or unmatched identification numbers that need to be kept for analysis.
When this happens, there needs to be a blank row inserted to represent the missing data in the rest of the corresponding row.
I am having trouble finding a quick way to do this because I have approximately 12,000 rows (and columns up to DV when combined).

I am guessing I will need a macro of sorts, So far I have made one column that tell me if the ID's are matching or not (1 or 0) and if they are not matching (0) I manually insert the rest of the row that is missing or make space for the duplicate data (which needs to remain).
Bank Reconciliation - Many To One Matching And Partial Cell Matching
Nov 19, 2009programming 2 macros in a bank reconciliation sheet I am trying to create.
Basically the data consists of two sets: the ledger side and bank side. Both sides consists of multiple columns that include date, description and amount.
The following two situations can occur and which need to be covered with a macro.
Many to one matching
When we make payments to say 100 different suppliers at once, the ledger side will show 100 lines with the different amounts. However on the bank side it will only show one line with a total amount for the transaction. As the description on the ledger side is the same for all transactions done at the same time, it should be possible to have a macro add these lines and compare the total with entries on the bank side. Once a matching amount has been found, the macro should place an ‘x’ next to all entries on the ledger and bank side, in order to show that these transactions have been reconciled.
Partial cell matching
In this case we are only dealing with one line on both the ledger and bank side. The issue is that the description does not always perfectly match with one another. The ledger side might say ‘Brown Corp.’ and the bank side might say ‘Brown Corporation’. I want to come up with a macro that can recognize this partial match and still reconcile the lines by placing a ‘x’ to both the ledger and bank entry. The match however should be done with a combination of description, date and amount as several different bookings might be done for the same supplier in the same month.

I don't really know if putting a variable directly into a range works, so far it doesn't.
As you can tell I need a line graph of the range B3:H5, then the next is the those same columns but 3 rows down, so the next graph is at B6:H8. I'd also like to through in a title here, but I may just be playing with fire. The title is located in column A starting at 4 and corrosponds with each graph, so it too goes is increments of 3, i.e., the first title is at 4 the second at 7 the third at 10. Somebody help me out this isn't working very well at all.
