Moving Whole Row Down When Pasting?

Let's say there's a couple row:

Here's a column I will be pasting:

[Code] ....

If I want to "Insert Copied Cells" in place of Yellow on Row1 and shift the cells down, the rows would look like this:

[Code] .....

How can I make it so the rows would be the following during such a paste:

[Code] .....

Automatically Save My Workbook When A Certian Cell Range Is Changed

I am very new to vba and trying to figure out an auto save macro that will automatically save my workbook when a certian cell range is changed. Right now I have a macro set that automactially record the time and date of when a change is made to the name cell, I want to set up a macro that will automatically save the file when the time is updated.

This program is used by several users and they have a tendnecy to forget to save the program so that when other people want to check the updated data nothing has changed because the changes have not been saved. I have attached the file that I am working on. When a change is made in column F then Column G automatically updates, now I want column G to trigger autosave. I would also like a msgbox to appear to tell user that file has been saved.

Moving And Deleting Entire Rows Between Tabs In Workbook And Moving Them Back If Needed

I have an excel work book with 6 tabs. I would like to have Excel move an entire row from one tab to another tab (removing the row and inserting it in the other tab). I.e. Example I have a tab with items that are marked as "Open Actions" so if I were to change the drop down to close. Excel would move that entire row of actions to the tab with the "closed actions" and insert into the next available row. Now if someone were to come back at a later date say no it should be reopened than I would change the drop down to open and excel would move that row back to the open actions tab into next available row. I tried a PIVOT table and no good I played with few macro and not.

I need to build a macro which copies 3 rows every day and pastes the row data into an identical sheet. The three rows will have column "D" as =today(). As the days progress the three rows will change accordingly ( tag to the today's date)

I need the macro to recognize the date when pressed and copy the corresponding rows of data and paste them into an identical sheet with the same date. The second sheet is an archive sheet. The date will tick over as per the calendar.

I am attaching a sample excel sheet showing what I need to do.In the first tab, I have a list that includes duplicate rows (first column only). I want to remove those duplicate rows but I don't want to lose the data in the following columns which can be unique or duplicates as well.

see the desired result tab in the sheet to get an idea of what I am looking for as the end result.

Keep in mind that the actual source file I am working with could have up to 50000 row, and the expected results could be around 2000 rows. So nothing can be done manually.

I have already made code to select the completed jobs, but am still unsure how to approach the next part. I can't even paste the selected range to another sheet without errors from range sizes.

Moving Multiple Rows Into One Row (1 Record Has 4 Rows)

I'm trying to create a .cvs file from an exported excel report, but before I can import it to a database I'd like to have one row per record.

I've already omitted out the headers and footers blank spaces and unnecessary columns from the excel file and I needed to just combine multiple rows into one.

It currently looks like this:

ROW#(1), ID#(1), NAME(1)
ADDRESS(1), ZIP(1)
DOB(1), SOURCE(1)
ITEM(1), CITY(1)
ROW#(2), ID#(2), NAME(2)
ADDRESS(2), ZIP(2)
DOB(2), SOURCE(2)
ITEM(2), CITY(2)
and so on..

I'd like to make it like

ROW#(1), ID#(1), NAME(1), ADDRESS(1), ZIP(1), DOB(1), SOURCE(1), ITEM(1), CITY(1)
ROW#(2), ID#(2), NAME(2), ADDRESS(2), ZIP(2), DOB(2), SOURCE(2), ITEM(2), CITY(2)
and so on...

I can't figure out a macro or a way to do this automatically.

I'm making an order form and I want specific cells to ALWAYS display their contents in caps regardless of how text is entered, is there a way to do this? I looked all through formatting and could not find the option, I found the command for =Upper but that doesn't work if you put it in that same cell then type over it obviously.

is there a way to use an =upper command that'll make an entire block always print in caps?

Pasting Across Columns Instead Of Down Rows

Say I have a list in Column A, down 5 rows:

test 1
test 2
test 3
test 4
test 5

I want to write a macro which does the following:

1. Count number of items in A, call it X.
2. On another worksheet, insert X number of rows.
3. copy each of the items in A, and uses those items as headings in the new columns.

This is where I get to my problem. How do you copy the items in A, and paste them horizontally across the top as headings, instead of the normal vertical?

I am trying to develop a macro in excel that CUTS AND PASTES rows of data from one worksheet in to the next available row in a new worksheet if there is a date in a particular cell. If the cells that are being checked for a date are empty, then the routine would skip these rows of data.

Here is an example of the worksheet. All rows containing a date in the Scanned column, would be cut and pasted in to a new worksheet. And any rows that have an empty cell in the Scanned column are ignored. If the Scanned column is filled at a later date, then when the macro is run, the data in that row would be cut and pasted in to the next available row in the new worksheet.

Copying And Pasting Formatted Columns And Rows

So, I have a document 25 pages long. It has 26 sections (1-26) and each section has up to 10 (.1 - .10) sub sections which contain 16 (a-p) sub-sub-sections. There are 6 columns of varying widths. Some cells, in a row, merge into adjacent cells.

I would like to break this document into 26 documents - one for each section - so that I may recombine and regroup them in the future incorporating a few modifications. Whenever I copy and paste to a new Workbook, I loose the formatting of column widths. Resetting these alone takes lots of time.

I have come up with is to duplicate the entire document and delete everything above and below the section I would like to save. Then repeat for next section. There's got to be a better way?

In column A I have the age of a sale i have completed (compared against todays date) and from B - N of the same row i have the data that coresponds to the sale. As Column A changes daily by 1 i would like to only keep the rows whereby column A is between 1 - 10. For any that are above 10 I would like to cut and paste to a second sheet, strangely entitled "older than 10 days" !

as there are formulas after column N which calculates the data i would only like to cut columns B - N of the specific row.

I think I need to create a macro that first sorts column A so I have the oldest data at the top and then a loop to check if these are above 10, i then want to cut from B - N and paste into another sheet.

Moving Rows Of Data Into 1 Row

I'm essentially getting a lot of data at the moment, which has a few orders people have made on my website.

Essentially, think order id, address etc and then all the products the customer has ordered.

However, the part which includes what the customer has ordered creates multiple rows of data, with the order ids etc duplicated. What I need to do is consolidate this into 1 row. So to add additional columns instead of rows.

The reason fro this is I want to mail merge the data into an invoice and mail merges work of 1 line of data at a time. I've attached an example, any way to do this?

Moving Rows Between Sheets

I have a dropdown list with names of different people: Bob, Jane, Joe, et cetera. I also have tabs at the bottom (sheets) for each of these people. Is it possible that when a name is selected from the dropdown box in column D, say Bob, the whole row (row 10 or whatever) is cut from main sheet and put into Bob's sheet, then the row is deleted from main sheet? If this doesn't make sense (because I stink at making sense), just let me know and I will try to clarify

I'll try to be clear on what I need to do and hope I can find a solution.
I've found similar threads but I can not edit them for my use so I had to ask again. What I have is a lot of cows, calfs, heifers.

When a calf turns 12 months old , (ex: =IF(A3>11;move_row(sheet_heifers);"")), I need the entire row move to other sheet (heifers). and when the heifer gives births the first time (ex: column- =IF(A7<>"";move_row((sheet_cows);"" ) the entire row needs to move to other sheet (cows). I can do age calculating and the rest well.

I am trying to do work on a sheet and am getting very frustrated. I have a list of several different data entries that contain a row of information. I need to have the excel sheet move these rows to a different sheet in a specified location. For example, in the first column of the data I have the list of commodities, (sugar, cotton, yen, euro, and copper). Then in the second column I have the price and then the quantity. I want to move them automatically from sheet 1 (where they are entered) to a specific location on Sheet 2. I want Cotton to be in A2, Sugar to be in A20, Yen to be in A30, Euro to be in A40 and copper to be in A50. I would like the data to be cut from sheet one and inserted into sheet 2 so that the sheet can move them every day.

Remove Empty Table Rows Before Pasting New Data?

I have a table into which I paste values to ColumnA. The other columns have formulas. The number of values to be pasted varies. When the number being pasted this time is less than the number pasted last time, empty rows remain above the valid data after sorting, which is undesirable. I want to get rid of those rows just before (or after?) pasting the new values. The way I see it is I want to delete all but the first data row of the table so the formulas remain untouched in the first row. Then, as new values are pasted the formulas replicate automatically.

I'd like to write some code to do the following: When the first cell of the row contains an "Y", move the entire row to another sheet (in the same file), keeping in mind that this sheet already contains some rows (so add the row on the first empty row in the sheet). Afterwards the original sheet contains no longer any rows in which the first cell is filled with an "Y".
