Autofilter With VBA Special Selections

Jul 25, 2007

Sheets("Data").Select
Range("F5").Select
mycheck = ActiveCell

Sheets("Data in").Select

Selection.AutoFilter Field:=10, Criteria1:=mycheck, Operator:=xlcontains
xlAnd
The problem is that I have a value that is collected and put in to MyCheck. This value is only contains a few letters that I want the autofilter to filter.

e.i: The value i want to filter contains following.
01jan2007
What the autofilter is supposed to do is to show all cells that contains the value 01jan2007.
The cells that are supposed to be autofiltered looks like this.
2143 01jan2007 and so on...
I can not use "=" course the value is not the same as the others.

Autofilter Data Based On Listbox Selections

Jan 7, 2013

Iam trying to auto filter a data range based on criteria passed from a list box selections.I want the auto filter to be filtering column 2 of the data range based on ALL the items SELECTED from a multi-select list box (named listbox2) at the click of a button. Here is what i currently have:

VB:

Sub Cmd1_Click()
Application.ScreenUpdating = False
For i = 0 To ListBox2.ListCount - 1
If Me.ListBox2.Selected(i) Then
Range("A3:C600").AutoFilter Field:=2, Criteria1:=ListBox2.List(i), Operator:=xlFilterValues

[Code]...

It works, only that it filters the data by ONLY the last selected value of the list(i.e only one value item in the list). I want it to loop through ALL the selections, applying filter on column 2 based on EACH of the selections on the list box.

Macro That Will Paste Multiple Selections In One Row

Jan 2, 2009

I'm trying to create a macro that will copy and then paste a range of cells to another worksheet but in one row. The cells that I would like to copy are in 3 different rows. They are B7:F7, C12:D12, C17:E17. Now I've managed to find a macro through this forum that will paste the particular cells but they I can't seem to find a way to record a macro that will paste them in one row. In addition to that I also tried copying and pasting each of the ranges of cells individually it kind of worked but it came up with an error box.

The problem is, even if I can find a macro to paste those cells it has to be able to paste them underneath the previous row. So e.g it should paste the cells in row 17 and then when i press the command button again it should paste them to row 18.

VB- For Multiple Columns With Different Dropdown Selections

Apr 16, 2009

Below is an IF CASE VB code i was using yesterday. I am coming to a dilemma. There can be multiple columns on this one particular spreadsheet that will have different selections from the dropdown that was created. For example in column B "VIRTUAL" could be selected which will hide the rows specified in the code below, but in column C "PHYSICAL" might be selected which requires other rows to be displayed but the rows for the selection in column B need to stay displayed. I am thinking the best way to do this might be to color code cels within each column based upon selections but how can a cel be color coded based upon a specific selection from the dropdown?

Select Multiple Rows As Separate Selections

Jul 27, 2006

Is there a way (with a macro?) to select all rows within a certain range (e.g. from row 3 to the end of the sheet) SEPARATELY, just as selecting them manually with ctrl+select?

Like in my example sheet;
I would use the AutoFilter on row 2 to show only the items with prices equal to 30. Now I want to select the entire rows (name, amount & price) of these two items, so that when I turn of the AutoFilter the two rows would still remain selected.

Extracting Multiple Selections From Multi Column Listbox

Apr 1, 2014

I have a multi selection listbox that has 6 columns located on the "Form" worksheet. Trying to extract the data from the selected lines (and all columns for the selected line) and copy to another worksheet (ExtractedData). My code so far only works to extract the multiple selections for the first column. Not sure how to have it include all columns. Ideally would like to have the six columns to be extracted and placed in separate cells on the ExtractedData worksheet. Here is what I have so far:

Sheets("Form").Select
SelCnt = 0
With Worksheets("Form").ListBox3
For i = 0 To .ListCount - 1
If .Selected(i) Then
SelCnt = SelCnt + 1

Send Multipage Userform Checkbox Selections To Multiple Rows Of Category

Apr 17, 2014

I have a multipage wizard like userform that for each page has check box selection choices a user can pick from. The sample I've attached uses animal attributes for 2 animals. What I'd like to have is code that populates the worksheet with the animal under consideration (determined by the Frame Caption) in say A5, then populates the attribute selections made starting in B5 with no blank rows in between if they chose not to mark a checkbox.

So for animal one on page 1 of the multipage form, if the user selected attributes 1, 3, 4, and 6 and clicked the "NEXT" button on that page, animal one appears in A5 and then those attribute selections would be in B5, B6, B7, and B8. If the user then selected for animal 2 on page 2 of the multipage form, attributes 2 and 6 and clicked the "NEXT" button on that page, then animal two would appear in A9 with the selections appearing in B9 and B10.

I should mention that the number of rows in Table 1 may grow (or shrink) row size with additional rows added (or deleted) by the user. Not sure if it matters.

Autofilter With Multiple Criteria?

Oct 5, 2012

I have some data which I want to apply multiple criteria to for a particular column. Searched around on the internet and it would appear I should use an array and pass that to my criteria. What I can't find an answer for is how to say "does not equal any of the values within the array"

Code currently is:

Code:
Dim NumberFilter_Array(0 to 2)
NumberFilter_Array(0) = 2
NumberFilter_Array(1) = 9

[Code].....

I've tried variations for that in red but can't get it to work, how to correct the line in red to filter for none of the values in the array NumberFilter_Array?

AutoFilter With Multiple Criteria

I am trying to use VBA to set an autofilter that hides all zeros in Column AL and then excludes all values in Column E that start with "312" or "502". For some reason I can't get this to work as expected, it still continues to display unwanted values in Column E.

HTML Code:
ActiveSheet.Range("$A$1:$CS" & LastRow).AutoFilter Field:=5, Criteria1:=Array("312*", "502*")
ActiveSheet.Range("$A$1:$CS" & LastRow).AutoFilter Field:=38, Criteria1:=Array("0")

Autofilter: Multiple Entries In One Cell

Nov 1, 2006

I'm making a database for people to easily find their documents at work. In some cells there are multiple entries because the document could be within two catagories, eg. memo and report. Is it possible to somehow list these multiple entries within the cell so that the autofilter will recognise them as seperate entries and find that document whether you filter for memo or report? If not, can you get the filter to search more than one column for the same result and show all entries that are, say, a memo, even if it says so in different columns? I want it to be as simple as possible for the user so that they can select what they want from the drop-down menu and not

Multiple Filters ,Advanced Filter And Autofilter

Apr 27, 2009

using VBA I have a control sheet which summerises variouse counts & totals of data held on a detail sheet. Bu using filters and counting the visable rows.

Statistics on 50 columns of data held in several thousand (rows) mixed around eight business regionsheld in first column.

I could determin the number of affected rows by using Tick boxes on the control sheet and applying filters to the detail records

A) checkbox indicates if I need filtering on the type of data in my detail sheet and apply the filter
Selection.AutoFilter Field:=XX, Criteria1:="Y"

B) Because I could not have more than two criteria on an autofilter column I resorted to using Advanced Filter on the column with the Business UNIT's,
I Create a range write the criteria of the records to be filtered into the range, then apply an advanced filter using that range.

Both of these work well indevidually, but I am getting inconsistant results when I mix them

using the autofilter route I can select multiple tick boxes and the output is correct, and using the advanced filter I can select any combination of business units and the output is correct, however I cant get them to work together
