Obtaining Information From Listboxes

I have a listbox (form control) on an excel sheet, where the user can select (or deselect) multiple entries.

Is there a way to have vba spit out which options are selected? if I choose "single" for selection type, it will tell me which option i have selected. Is there something similar for multiple?

I have a userform with a listbox that has 6 columns (D2:I50) which works great. In column J (J2:J50), I have data which needs wrapping so I plan on putting it in its own listbox. Is it possible to have another list box but one that operates as the first one is scrolled?

Form With Multiple Listboxes

How to put these multiple listboxes in my form that allow the end-user to make selections and then after they are done, click the submit button that queries the results. I have read so many books and nothing in the books works.

I created a query that includes all the fields in each of the listboxes. For example :

This way each listbox and there are 11, has distinct values based on my qual_main table and it connects to whatever the other table is that contains the actual values I need to pull. The listboxes display correctly yet when I put the query in my button to run it based on what the end-user selected from the listboxes, it does nothing. Using Two Multi-Select Listboxes

I'm trying to make two multi select listboxes in excel. I have tried I myself, but I know the excistence of VBA only since one week .

In sheet1 I have a number i.e. 50 in "A1" . First I want to make a list of this number, so cell "A2" = 1, "A3" = 2, .... "A51" = 50. This range has to be variable since the number can be 1 but als 100.

Then I want to populate ListBox1 in sheet2 with the list from sheet1. Next I want a second ListBox (ListBox2) and two buttons ("Add item" and "remove items") to move items from ListBox1 to ListBox2 and back.

Finally i want the selection that is made in ListBox2 to be put in sheet1 in a specific column (let's say C) where "C1" is the first selected item from ListBox2 "C2" the second and so on. This range has to be variabel since the number of selected items is not known.

Any way to find out what list boxes are on the active sheet with vba? I have a massive file loaded with listboxes, some copied from other sheets. I am trying to copy the selected value from to the worksheets themselves. I can pull the selected item from the Cell Link's Index or the bound item, but only if I specify the listbox. There are 57 sheets and up to 6 listboxes on a sheet, Do I have to go through and give them all individual names, such as the sheetname_listboxname.

Show Row Source Data In Listboxes

I have used a userform found on this forum (I cannot find the link) that displays row data from a range within a listbox. Unfortunately though you cannot determine the column width. As such I wondered if it was possible to show the data within other listboxes. So for example in listbox1 you can see 5 columns accross (from a range) however one of them is very wide.

Looking at Listbox1 you can only see the firsy 20 characters approximately in each column. Is it possible therefore that once this row of data is selected that the contents of the columns is duplicated in other listboxes on the same userform that can be expanded to accommodate larger text?

Note: the "bottom " code does work to clear selected cells of their data. I am designing a userform that involves a listbox that I am having trouble with. Please note I have little experience with vba, so I don't understand most codes.

I want to make a mulitcolumn listbox, populated with the attached pivot table. I really do not know where to start, and there is no "populating multicolumn listboxes for beginners" instructions anywhere on google or in here. At least, none that I understand.

What I am trying to create is a 2-column listbox, where in the first column, the "code" fields are shown, and in the second column, the corresponding " Name" fields are shown. In the pivot table, you can see how several routes fall under a service, and several services fall under a pc, etc.

Matching Columns And Obtaining The Value?

I have two worksheets, sheet 1 and sheet 2. On sheet 1, I have a information on two columns (Column A and B) Column a has information up to row 10 (aaa, bbb, ccc, ddd, ...). On column B, I have 111, 222, 333 . I have same information on Sheet 2. However, sheet two has an additional column (Column C) with 10 rows on information z, y, x, w, v ...

What I need to do is to match column A and B in sheet 1 to column A and B in sheet 2 and if both columns matches on the same row, copy the value in sheet 2, column C and paste it on sheet 1 column C.

Important: Information on sheet 2, column B may be twisted (As they may not appear exactly the same as in sheet 1. Which means 111,222,333 can be 222,333,111 along the column). Therefore, need to match the entire range.

I've got a problem where I need to assign values to ranges between 0 and 3.

Eg.

RANGE VALUE
2-3 2.2
1-3 1.6
0-3 0.8
0-2 0.5
0-2 0.5
0-1 0.1
0-1 0.1
0-1 0.1
0-1 0.1

The values above are simply approximates done manually but I need it done automatically using a formula. The resulting values should be proportioned similarly to the ones above but they need to all sum up to 6 and be no more than 3 each.

Obtaining Data About PDFs

I have a large number (couple of hundred) pdf's in a folder for electrical test certificates. The pdf's are in the format 54 Pike Drive.pdf etc. and have the date modified.

Ideally, as well as the address I would like the date modified as this is pretty close to the date of the certificate so will suffice.

Failing the date, just the addresses will do which need to go on separate rows in Excel.

I've tried copying and pasting the files but to no avail.

Enable Command Button If ANY Of 4 Listboxes Have Selection Made

I have a fairly straightforward UserForm with 4 listboxes and 4 option textboxes (the textboxes do not need to be a part of the validation I'm needing). I then have a command button that I want to be enabled ONLY if ANY of the 4 Listboxes have a selection. I've tried the "Change" event code below and it works upon the first selection of any listbox item.

However, if the user de-selects all selections in the listboxes (i.e. they are all unchecked), the command button remains enabled. I need the validation logic to enable/disable the button to persist as long as the user has the form open and if there is not a selection in ANY of the listboxes. The reason being is that if they click the command button it will update the cells in the worksheet, which if empty may overwrite previous work completed with blank cells.

Obtaining Interpolated Values Of Z Based On X And Y

I'm working on a program, which gives me interpolated values of z from a digitized graph based on the cursor position or input values of x and y. Thing that bothers me for quite some time is how to get properly interpolated z value. I was using SADA (spatial analysis software), where I was creating a 100x100 matrix, but the interpolation methods there are not as accurate as I need.

Basically, from digitizing a graph I get a matrix:

VB:
x1, y1, z1;
x2, y2, z1;
x3, y3, z2;
x4, y4, z2;
.
.
.
x3742, y3742, z24

Now, inputting x and y that are not in the matrix should give me interpolated value of z, which gets even more tricky when the axes are in log scale. The only idea that I have in my mind and that I think would work is this:

for each missing z, from zmin=0,625 to zmax=3 , every 0,001, I would make 1000 (enough accuracy in this case) xs and ys. How to automate the process.

Formula For Obtaining Value A Dependant On Cell X

so basically, im trying to find a way to get cell G3 to have Value X dependant on value from Cell G2. e.g. if cell g2 is 8 and 9, g3=10 if g2 is 11, g3=20 and so on. i dont mind having to add a preset table of values if we need, but it would be set on sheet 2.

EDIT
Value from cell G2 will always be between 4 and 20, set by the user. what i want is that each of those values gives G3 a pre-planned value.
if g2 has value 4. g3 value would be -5
if g2 has value 5. g3 value would be 0
if g2 has value 6. g3 value would be 5
if g2 has value 7. g3 value would be 5
if g2 has value 8. g3 value would be 10
if g2 has value 9. g3 value would be 10
if g2 has value 10. g3 value would be 15
if g2 has value 11. g3 value would be 20
if g2 has value 12. g3 value would be 20
if g2 has value 13. g3 value would be 25
and so on until it reaches g2=20

i was thinking of setting a table on sheet 2 for the g3 values, and get an IF function to do something like IF g2 = a then x, if g2 = b then y etc etc. im just not sure how it would work, unless an INDEX function would work better?

Is it possible to obtain the numerator and denominator from a fraction?

For example, I entered different numbers and display them as fractions in the cell using the format "?/?"
Is it possible to obtain the numerator and denominator from that cell and place them into a different cell?

ex: In cell [A1] is the value "1/4"
can i take the numerator "1" and place it in cell [A2] and the denominator "4" and place it in cell [A3]

By the way, I've tried using the functions LEFT and RIGHT but they display the value in it's decimal form. (example: RIGHT(A1, 2) displays the number "25" from 1/4=0.25 as opposed to "/4"

which works. However I want it to be: -

but I can't because I can only have 8 nested IF's.

Is there an alternative way of obtaining the last line of code?

Populating Two Listboxes With Sheets Based On Cell Value; Printing Their Selection

I would like to do is have 2 listboxes. In the first listbox I would like the name of all the worksheets which contain the words "elective class: " in cell C7.

In the second listbox I would like the name of all the worksheets which do not contain the words "elective class: " in C7. I need this only to source from worksheet 7 onwards however.

The listboxes are called ListBox1 and ListBox2 respectively.

Also I am using this to print and I have a button which currently selects all the data in the first listbox and another button which prints all the selected data. The code being used for this is:
