Opening Files At "Persnl Sht" Every Time File Is O

Have not been at VBA long so am prety much "junior" I suppose
What I have so far is folder for each Client! - maximum of 4 files in each folder and could all be open at same time
Have "central" VBA well set out control page with Client Files option and command buttons but files open at "last page saved"
Added worksheet select which opens perfect - after the "macro" yes/no open box opens with "last page saved"
Working with "office 2000 SB" and have tried various ways
workbook open / beforeclose / beforesave - matbe not 2000 objects
Just want client to see file opening with his name nicely shown on worksheet
Would really appreciate suggestions to get file open at client worksheet page from start

I can't open a file anymore. On opening an exclamation mark message appears telling me the file contains "Too many different cell formats". After clicking "Ok" Excel doesn't continue the opening proces. However I need the info in the file. how to retreive the info in the file?

I'm using Excel 2007. I didn't change a single option but for some reason this problem came up. When I open an already saved Excel file it opens up in a newly created file. For example, if I open a file saved as "Monthly Sales" it will open it up and rename it as "Monthly Sales1." When I go to save it again, which would normally just save it where it currently sits, it basically acts as if I hit Save As and pops up the box asking me where I want to save it. This is extremely annoying as most of the places where these files are saved are several folders deep which makes it time consuming every time I open and alter a file. I can't find any options that looks something like this and it only happens in Excel.

Ive got about 300 different excel files all with the exact same format the only thing that is different is the values in the columns but they are all raw reports dumped into excel.
because I had to run them all seperate for certain reasons is there a way to combine all these files into one file without copy pasteing them all into one sheet.

I am trying to open excel files in a file path which includes folders which also have excel folders i wish to open there are quite a few.
At the moment i am working with this code but it fails to open excel files which are within the folders in the specified file path. Its fine for excel workbooks in the folder specified by file path.

I have a file that I want to clear certain cells and all option buttons when first opened. I then want the user to be able to save and close the file with the data they have entered. When they go to reopen the file I want the data they entered to still be there. I want the user to get the blank file off the company's server and then save it to there machine when it has been completed and when they go back to this file the information is still entered. I have attached the file.

When opening the attached file, for some reason, I have to again select the cells from column A in tab "Transactions" and go to Data Validation and select again LIST - only then the data validation from list resumes working. When I close the file after saving and open it again, the data validation does not work - I have to again go to Data Validation and again reselect LIST (making sure, of course, that I do not mess up Source) to have Data Validation list run again.

Is there a code that will search a pre-determined folder for all .xls files containing the word "Temp", and deleting those files?
Example:
In the root of drive M, I have several Excel files. Anytime one of the original tracking logs is opened, a temp file of that log is automatically created. I would like to automatically search the drive and delete all files containin the word "Temp".
I've attached a picture of the directory tree, in case that will help. The file will always be named "PO Response Tracking - Temp#######.xls", with ###### representing a series of either 5 or 6 numbers.

I have attached an example workbook to this message, with the sensitive data removed. I am trying to vlookup the "cube" for the product number, into the PO worksheet, IF the vendor numbers match.
Example:
On row 2 of the "PO" worksheet, part number AC1000110, should have a cube of 2.5 for vendor # 11170. I'm trying to match the "Vendor" on the "PO" worksheet with the "Vendor" on the "Cube File" worksheet, and then return the corresponding "Cube", (in column F of the "Cube File"), in cell U2 of the "PO" sheet. So, what formula needs to be entered in cell U2?

Maybe its just my 42 year-old eyes, but I find using Auto Filter to be a bit of a pain. Sorting is no problem: click on the arrow in the auto filtered row, choose what I want, do my work, easy as pie. HOWEVER: I'm done my work, and I want to re-open to "all".
Problem: remembering what @#$%$# column I've auto-filtered on. Excel helpfully highlights the arrow's column in a wonderful shade of DARK BLUE, which (see 42 year old eyes above) looks not much different than the BLACK arrows on the other 47 columns. Eventually I'll remember, click back on it, then on to workflow item #2. Repeat as needed.
So, I'm just wondering: is there any way to highlight the selected column better? Even zooming to 200% doesn't help my eyestrain. I suppose I could highlight the column somehow BEFORE I sort, but that seems to be quite a bit of work, even with a macro. What would be nice would be a way to somehow make the auto-filter selection arrow bigger, or at least make the "clicked" column arrow yellow or white. Anything but a dark colour on a grey background.

if you could have a look at the attachment, what i am trying to do is in Cell E2, I would like it if B2 was between 22:00:00 and 06:00:00 for it to display a "N" for nights, if cell B2 was between 06:00:00 and 14:00:00 to display a "D" for days and between 14:00:00 and 22:00:00 to display an "A" for afternoons.

I have 50 files each with 1000 numbers in column A.
I need to compare every list with every other list and calculate the Pearson function.
I am ok with the vb code to compare every file with everyother.
I can do this by opening each file then closing but it takes too long.
Each of the 50 csv file names is in my destination workbook
I would like to define an array using the file name, then extract 2 lists without opening the files then perform the pearson function and place the value in the destination workbook. (The pearson function just measures the strength of correlation between 2 sets of numbers)

where YYYY is the year and MMM is the month?
The folders YYYY and MMM may or may not exist. Is it possible to get excel to create them if they do not already exist?

I m Trying to add some features to it and run into an issue. Here are the fields we are working with!
A1= 13:30:00 17/12/2008
(in other words 1:30pm on date given) - Need to know proper cell number format!!
B1= 23:00:00
(this represents 23 hours) - format for cell is [h]:mm:ss
C1= Unknown function
(This field is my problem!!)
Answer here SHOULD be "14:30:00 16/12/2008"
I need a function for C1 (using A1 and B1) that will give me the time and date 23 hours earlier or however many hours:mins:secs is specified in B1! Also need to know what number format to use for both A1 and C1

I have a need to open a file from my companies intranet. My current method was to open said file via the method that the recorder gave me. However, I would like ot be able to open a said file without having to start open another workbook.
This is the path:

So the command is this:

Links are not actual links
So what I need to know. Is how can I open this file without opening a workbook. I haven't been able to use the VB "Open Statement" to open a file and I don't believe that I've been successfull using the Filesystem object either.

To have other users open a workbook on the network without having to click button to open it as read only.
I have been trying to get rid of the "File In Use" message for the other users since they only need a read only copy. I am the only one who needs to know if it is in use because I will make changes to the workbook tools and have to save them.
I have set the Save As preferences so that it requires a password for modification and checked the read only checkbox. But that dialog box is popping up for the users. I am trying to eliminate any file in use dialog box for users other than myself.
Here is my workbook open procedure...
