i have created a diary using multiple tabs. I would now like to create a template that i can paste into the multiple tabs. I have tried to copy and paste but the format ends up all wrong, I would also like to paste all the tabs in one go

I'm trying to create a workbook with multiple worksheets. My first sheet to be named "Main" and each additional sheet to be named in sequence after the values in the cells between B5:B98 on !Main.
Example:
B5 = "01"
B6 = "01.1"
B7 = "01.2"
B8 = "02"
B9 = "03"
etc...
I'd like to have a macro that would take a worksheet in this workbook named "Template" and make a copy for each cell between B5:B98 and name that new worksheet "c" and then the value in each of those (B5:B98) cells.
Example:
First worksheet named "Main"
Second worksheet named "c01"
Third worksheet named "c01.1"
and so on.....
I am new to the VBA editing and I am missing some steps to get my files correctly generated and then ideally saved in PDF format in the same folder.

One invoice needs to be created per line in the source workbook. I tried many times the macro recording without getting the correct outputs.
I have what is probably a simple request to all the VBA experts out there, and simply want to take a template sheet in a workbook and copy it across to 100 sheets numbered/named 101 -200, and add the name of each sheet as a text reference, e.g. sheet name 101 will have a cell within the worksheet that refers to sheet 101.

Now to my question.
I have a template sheet I want to copy from ( "Template" ), and select any sheet that starts with "S", and copy/paste this template to.
I've got several worksheets that all have the exact same layout that a user will enter unique information in to each worksheet. Then I've got a final worksheet that I want to have a button that the user can click and when they do, it will look to each worksheet and do the exact same process for each worksheet as follows:
It first looks to see if the worksheet is visible. If it is, I want it to copy the range A5 to K5 down until it gets to the last non-blank cell in column C. The first non blank cell that will be referenced will be C7. Then I want it to paste this information into the range A5:K5 on the final sheet named Sheet8 with the same values and keep cell formatting such as width and height, font. If the worksheet is not visible, it skips the sheet.
I want it to do this for each visible worksheet, placing the next visible worksheet info under the previous visible worksheet info. My current code as shown doesn't do that. It requires that something be inSheet8 A6 before it will even paste, then it pastes the info from A5:K5 but it doesn't do just the values nor does it keep the formatting. What I mean about not doing just the values is some of the info that needs to be copied comes from a drop down they can choose from and it copies the actual drop down menu. Also, it seems to copy all of the ranges from each sheet and paste it into just A5:K5 on Sheet8 and overwrites each other instead of pasting Sheet2 just below the information from Sheet1. So the only information shown after the entire process is completed is the information from the last visible sheet.

I have a file with multiple sheets. Most of the sheets are named for states. I will import a worksheet monthly that has sales data that needs to be copied one line at a time and pasted to the correct company on the sheet that corresponds to the appropriate state. I want to do this by macro.

I have a workbook that has 397 sheets. On many of the sheets (but not all) they have some of the same data. On sheet 1 cell B5 is ContactID, Sheet 15 cell B32 is also ContactID. Sheet 1 A5 needs to reflect Contact ID and Sheet 15 A32 needs to reflect Contact ID. I need to find all sheets that contain the data "ContactID" and place (paste?) Contact ID in the same row, but in Column A.
Right now I am doing a Find all and clicking through the sheets 1 at a time (some of these finds though have 30+ sheets).
for my school project, I am right now doing time tracking for all of my activities throughout the day with excel. Here is basically what I am doing: For everything I do, I record and put in start time and end time for the activity.(I use simple formula to subtract these twos) If my day goes on like study, break, study, meal, study, break and each activity takes one hour for each, I have total of 3 hours studying, 2 hours taking break and one hour for meal. I am using pivot table to show all totals for each activity.
Pivot table is working best as far as my knowledge goes as I can choose and look up total of multiple activity combined. The problem here is I am making one sheet per a day and I need to continue this for three months. (So that seems like 90 worksheet). What I was thinking is I make Sheet 1 as master sheet. Then, copy and paste the entire sheet for 90 sheets assuming all formulas including pivot table go along with them. then, when I put in new data to other sheet,magic happens and values in pivot tables will change relatively after refresh. You might be probably laughing hard at me right now. I know..I tried it for like 3 sheets. Simple formula to subtract endtime and start time still work accordingly with new data. But, Pivotal table is playing dead at all.
I researched and found that that might be problem with reference and absolute cell reference thingy. ( to make pivotal table work for different worksheet). All the cells used ( including column and row ) will be entirely the same for all worksheets. The only difference aka problem is different sheet. I want to use sheet 1 as a template and copy it down to next 90 sheets taking all contents except data. Is there anyway I can copy and paste the whole template to another 90 sheets while making pivot table work and calculate and update itself according to relative data from each own worksheet? I use excel 2007 btw
I am trying to count the number of rows on sheets 11 To 2 in my workbook. I want to count the rows (excluding the header) on each sheet one at a time and place them on a "Summary" Sheet. So for example. The row count for Sheet 11 would go in cell B2 of the "Summary" Sheet. The row count for Sheet 10 would go in cell B3 on the "Summary" tab. The row count for Sheet 9 would go in cell b4 on the "Summary" Tab. I have taken a crack at the sub procedure but can't get the syntax and/or the logic correct.

I have 1 workbook, with 3 sheets. Sheet1 (EVER) has 3000+ rows and 12 columns of customer information. This sheet is for all customers who have ever placed an order. Sheet2 (06-07) has 1500+ rows and 12 columns of customer information. This sheet has all customers who have placed an order in the last 2 years. Sheet3 has 1 row, which consists of the column titles (12 columns) that are on Sheet1 and Sheet2.
I need to put all customers that are on Sheet1, but not on Sheet2 in Sheet3. I have tried VLookup; advanced Filter and a number of codes in the last 3 days and have not been able to figure this out.
I need a coding for count of "Reconciled" items and insert that number of template sheets.

With the help of attached example I need a coding which will count the number of items the word "reconciled" appears in control sheet (L:L) and should insert that number of template sheets. In this example the count is 16 so it should insert 16 new template sheets.
Pls note the count would not always be the same and count would not always be in cell L123.
After inserting the template it should be renamed as the combined value from the cells.

Step 1: I have data coming from a data dump which is placed on the "Summary" sheet of my excel workbook. I need to take column A (beginning at A8) and create a new sheet (based on "Template" located in the same workbook) for each name in column A.
Step 2: I need to place the name of the new sheets in cell C4 of each sheet so I can do a lookup using C4 as my lookup_value, so this can't be a formula like "=MID(CELL("filename",A1),FIND("]",CELL("filename",A1))+1,256)" because lookup doesn't function properly.
Step 3: Delete "Template", so that the only things left are the "Summary" sheet and the new sheets.
Each department will have their own workbook with a "summary" sheet and different sheet names although they will all start off with the same data dump and will all be in the same format. Each department could also have a different number of new sheets added depending on information from the data dump.
I found a utility (ASAP Utilities) which will do the steps I need done, but it won't record in the macro.
Budget time is fast approaching and each department needs their worksheets.
I have a Workbook, that I would like to copy over to an existing PowerPoint template.
The order that the sheets are currently in, is the same order I would like the presentation to be.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI need to create multiple workbooks from a template, but the header on the sheets need to change based on a list of numbers. I know you can generate multiple sheets from a template within the same workbook. Can you export all the sheets once they are generated to separate workbooks/files? Also I need to change the text in lets say cell A1 on every sheet based on a list from the main sheet. So the main sheet has a list in column A: 1, 2, 3, 4 etc. Once the sheets are generated from the template cell A1 on each generated sheet needs to have a different number from the list i.e. 1, 2, 3, 4 etc. It would be nice if i can set the format of cell A1 on the generated sheets so when then number is inserted it large text and bold.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am trying to create a workbook in which each person gets a seperate sheet.There are common cells in each sheet like name addrss,phone number, etc (about 10 such cells) and there are other cells which will be unique to each person like hyperlinks to letters I have sent to that particular person.
The tab will be named using that person's surname. (I use "find" on the surname and i can locate the particular worksheet).I can add the unique ones as and when needed in each particular sheet, but what i would like to do is to create the first sheet containing all the necessary common cells with a blank cell next to it and then (maybe run a macro?) to create multiple sheets all containing the same info so that with each sheet I only have to fill in the blanks (name,address,age,etc) .
At the moment I am using "copy sheet" each time using an unfilled template sheet and it is a pain.
I Have a number(30+) of excel files based off of one template. I have since updated the template, thus making the the old ones obsolete. Is there a way to update the older files to use the new template without having to copy and paste the addition's row by row column by column?
None of the additions to the template will change the placement of existing data, nor will it change the data itself. It will however add Values to cells that were previously empty.

I have .Raw data in 3 different configurations, which can be opened in Excel.
I want to automatically extract relevant data (Columns) from these 3 different types of .Raw data before running analysis using chart using Macros.
Now here is the problem, Data from the .Rawdata needs to be accumulated. That is, I have multiple sheets of excel, which I have to open manually and extract specific data from individual columns onto another sheet to accumulate every data before running analysis.
How to tackle this situation?
1. Able to detect the right type .Raw data for use in Excel.
2. Extract data from many excel onto one main sheet, using Macros.
