Sep 2, 2009I have spent several hours searching the forum but have not been able to find any code that I could tailor to my specific need.
Basically, when I press a button on a 'Util' sheet, I need to cut every row on the 'Source' sheet with 'Closed' in column 'B', paste the rows to the next blank row on the 'Closed_Requests' sheet, and delete the resulting blank row from the 'Source' sheet.

Dec 5, 2008I have mananged to find and tweak the following code in order to serve my copy / paste to master sheet requirements.
At the bottom of the code I have added a delete rows based on column contents routine although I'm not sure if it is actually the right one to use.
I have included it in the same module in order to tidy up the whole process and have it all operate under one click.
As stated on the sheet in this exmple, The paste could consist of any number of sheets although the range is always the same on each sheet. (only amounting to around 20 rows that we are dealing with so no reams of data with odd empty rows that would take an age to find otherwise).
The data can look like it does on Sheet 2 here and also could look like it does on sheet 3. (this data is coming from a sales rep's order sheet)
From the routine in module 1, I just don't know where an "add an empty row" or delete all empty rows bar 1" code would need to be inserted in order to keep the process going until all sheets are copied.
I'm aware that with the delete code at the bottom, the whole copy process is completing before the delete process then does it's bit so think I'm on the right track in thinking that the delete all empty rows but leave one" requirements needs to be further up the code but I just don't how to get the result I need or where that code should break into the routine.
The only other way I can think to acheive the result is to allow the range to increase by 1 row on the form but somehow make sure that the last row in the range contains a character in column B to "trick/force" the delete routine to leave that row in. That would be do-able but the trouble is, how do you get a value into a cell that the delete proces would treat as data but not be visible so keeping my spacer line tidy? I've tried just putting a space in the last row of the range in column B but the row still gets deleted.

Jan 29, 2014I would like to implement specific cell ranges from two specific worksheets each within 33 workbooks (which all have several tabs) into a summary page in a separate workbook.
The cell ranges are going across my spreadsheet in rows and I would like for them to transpose into a columns depending on the data which I have separated by catergory on the summary page. They are all on the same location in each workbook which is separated by country. The cell ranges are E26:P37 and I would like to transpose them and have them put below eachother without overwriting for my format on the summary page, how I can put this together in a macro?

I enter values in worksheet 1 that calculate a comparison of 2 items.
I recorded a macro that pastes these 4 rows into worksheet 2 and clears data entered in worksheet 1.
So far - easy.
What I would like to do is find some code that would let me enter new values in worksheet 1, and when the macro is executed, it would find the first blank row on worksheet 2, skip a row, and paste the info.
By doing it this way, I would be able to keep adding new items, compare them and add them to worksheet 2.

May 20, 2009I have been tinkering with a code for a few days now and managed to finally get it working . The Code basically copies data from one spreadsheet (Macro Tester6), opens up another spreadsheet (Macro Tester Master), pastes the data, Saves the file (Macro Tester Master) and then closes it.
The Macro Tester6 file is then left open as I prefer.
The problem I have is that the data always paste into the same row, hence overwrites data already inserted.
the code finds the next blank row to paste the data in.

I would like a macro that copies the data from the first of the worksheets and paste it in a blank one(lets call it Results), then copy the data from the worksheet two immediately below and do the same with data contained in worksheets 3,4,5.

Apr 25, 2014The task I have in front of me is that I have a very large spreadsheet (28,000 +rows) that has data that was exported from a legacy system that we no longer have. It has data in columns A thru G. I must get this data prepped to have ready for importation into the new system. What I'm trying to do is copy the data in cell A and cell B, everytime the value in column D = 1, and insert one blank row above and copy the values from cell A and cell B to cell A and cell B on the newly created row.

May 14, 2014This work is challenging for me, now am doing Comparing the Data between One Sheet to Another Sheet, and Paste into Different Sheet.
I am Manually Comparing the Data between two different sheet, If the Data is matching, or Not matching, those data i have document in other sheet, So i have lots of records available. so manually doing its very difficult, but macro can compare the data. I will give the details of my process and example sheet is attached here....
Data 1.xls == This sheet have multiple tab with data and different order no.(Multiple Tab with thousands of records available)
orderNumberModified.xls == Modified data available. (Compare the OrderNumber to Data1.xls)
Now we have to compare the modified.xls and Data1.xls... For modified.xls have ORDERNUMBER available, that Numbers match with all tabs from Data 1.xls sheet.
If ORDERNUMBERS are matching, Need to copy the entire row from modified.xls To AVAILABLE TAB from Comparedata.xls sheet
If ORDERNUMBERS is not matching, copy the entire row from modified.xls To NOTAVAILABLE DATA tab from comparedata.xls sheet

I want to write a macro to select the data I need from each sheet and colaberate together in a 'data' sheet so I can combine all the info to run time and expense reports per client showing combination of all time and expense incurred from all 4 staff.
I have named cell ranges in each of the 4 time-sheets. I proceed to record a macro, select the first named range, copy and paste into my data sheet, do a control home then control down arrow, then one more down arrow to get to the first blank cell and repeat the process for all four time-sheets.
This works until I add a new line and then the data will only appear for the last time-sheet (last row of data).

This will be continuous so each time i need it to add the score as a new row in the correct field (restaurant name), IF the restaurant isnt listed, I want a new field named with the restaurant name and then place the score in the correct row and column. i get wht i want, but why it's like there's no blank cells anymore on my worksheet.
like you know, if u want to jump from a filled cell to the blank cell, you would hit Ctrl + Down, it jump to the very end of the datas that i paste value before.
so when i hit Ctrl + Down from A1, it jumps to A500, meanwhile the filled cells only 10 cells.

Mar 19, 2013I am currently working in an excel file for which i want to create a macro. I am using colomn F as the base from which it should be determined whether a row should be copied. In colomn F the user can select three options through data validation. If 'completed' is selected, the whole row should be copied to the second sheet, and each copied row should be pasted to the next empty row. The data on the source sheet starts at row 11 and should be copied to sheet 2, starting from row 11 as well.
