Pivot Table - How To Filter Only Last Dates And Show Related Rest Column Status
Apr 16, 2014
I've a table of historical members status list. with this table, I could track each member status history, since the beginning they become a member.
Here is the short of table
Name
Member Status
Date
Adel
New Member
1-Jan-14
[Code] ....
I expect to use Pivot table to show how many people which are still "New Member" and/or "Junior Member" up to now. From the table above, there should be: only one person who still as New Member. because it is only Smith, and only two people with Junior Member. they are Adel and Jhon.
I've search around and found the following useful link, viewing only the last date in a pivot table for each user
also A quick way to return the latest date in a subset in Excel
How to know the last status of each user (each member in my case).
I would like to be able to filter my pivot table to shows the rows with no data ?
I can make "no value" appear in the pivot table in 2 ways - either by using column field as well as row fields or by using the "show items with no data" option in value field settings but I cant get filter to show only the "no value" rows
Rather then this showing all values between these dates, I was hoping to see only those two dates. This will enable my to compare weekdays for a Dashboard.
I have an issue with a Pivot table: I am using the 'show report filter pages' function and prior to this I have ensured my character length of that field is equal or less than 31 however when I hit the function the tab names are shortened to 26.
I am trying to figure how to show in one pivot table a current column and a proposed column. I have 15k rows of data. My data columns are employee, month, task, hours, proposed month. I can get a table that has months as columns and tasks as rows with sum of hours. What I would like to do is incorporate the proposed month, so that it shows hours in the months by current and proposed. That way my result would be January current, January proposed columns etc. I can change the propsed months by formulae so I want to play with the proposed task month the refresh the pivot table to see the results.
I want to get the FAIL count of SN in which PASS > 0 (First two rows)
BUT I can not figure out how I can filter based on the values of the pivot table itself (rather than the values of the original list). When I try to use 'Result' field as report filter, I can not get it as a Column label (and vice-versa). In this case I get:
I get: ****|PASS ------------ 111 | ...1 222 | ...1
I have a master list that is updated in real time by linked worksheets from several people. While my actual report covers 7 managers and 7 different products (“contract types” in this example), I have summarized and simplified the input in the attached file. There are three pertinent dates – the date assigned to the manager (col A), the date completed by the manager (col F), and the date approved by the executive (Col G).
These dates will span month ends and I need to be able to provide monthly reports that provide details on the number of contracts and the dollar value all contracts assigned and completed by the manager during the month (say, February) as well as any contracts assigned in any month which remain uncompleted at the current month-end (e.g. the $7,500 Smith contract assigned on Feb 21st that remains uncompleted and the Feb 26th $200 Jones contract which was uncompleted at Feb 28th, but completed in early March, in this example). Can this be done directly in a Pivot table from the full master list, or will I need to have separate sheets in my workbook where I extract the pertinent records for that month?
On a sheet called, "Details", I have a pivot table that has three fields in the column area, Calendar type, Description, and Dates. I want to filter the pivot table based on a label filter in the Dates column. The filter should be between two dates (in D4 and D5) that are entered on another sheet and passed to the Details sheet through formulas in cells D4 and D5.
I have attached the following code to a button on a different sheet.
The code successfully filters for the employee name (which is a report filter in the pivot table) which is in a named cell.
I am having trouble with passing the start and end dates to my pivot table filter. I do not get any errors, the filter is simply blank.
Private Sub CommandButton3_Click() Sheets("Details").Select Dim pt As PivotTable Dim Employee As String Dim SDate As String Dim EDate As String
I need to create a formula that will calculate the status of a customer based upon an input code and the relevent date.
The attached workbook is very simplified but should help.
Sheet1 contains the date of input (col A) for the client (col B) plus a code in column C to help ascertain the initial status of the a/c.
In Sheet2 (col B) I need a formula or possibly a VBA solution that will create a commission status for clients with 'N' in column C of Sheet1 which is current for 8 weeks after the input date in Sheet1. Thereafter this status then need to show say an 'S' for standard commission.
This result will be linked to the date shown in B2 on Sheet2. Just to make it clear, I only need a letter as the result to trigger off the actual commission calculations.
I have a database of roughly 9000 rows. My first sheet is this data in a raw format (Masterdata!). Each row is a fire-rescue response call and therfore has a time stamp. The raw data uses different formats to provide the time stamp. My second sheet is my filtered data (Filtereddata!). In order to make these time stamps uniform I have a formula that looks at the Masterdata! timestamp column and if it is in a numeric format changes it to a text date and if it is a text date perserves it.
This gives me the "timestamp" which has both the incident start time and the date. I have =left and =right formulas breaking apart the date and the time. Therefore I have two columns on my Filtereddata! for the date of the incident and the time the call came in. What I would like to do is run some pivot tables and group incidents by month. I am unable to group them once I run the pivot table. I get a "Unable to group these items" (or something like this) message. I have assured multiple times that the date column is in DATE format. However, when I change the date to long date or short date I see no changes in the column so I am assuming there is something happening that I'm missing. The formula populating the date column on Filtereddata! is as such:
I have a worksheet that is just a list of items with a location listed next to each item. I took that list and made it into a pivot table and would like it to have it list the items with each location it is in displayed across. I have already set it to tabular form in the pivot table options, but if there are multiple locations it lists them vertically and I want them list horizontally for printing purposes. I have attached a screen shot to explain.
I have made a pivot table and I dlike to identify with a macro the documents with net value over 1000. Then extract these values next to the respective sales documents in an are near the pivot table somewhere. The fields are called Document and Sum of Net value. Of course the pivot is very variable one time it has 3000 records and another 5000.
there are a multitude of issues with US date formats when you're not in the US but I've run across one that I can't figure out.
I have a source table that has approx 5000 lines on it, everything looks correct and all the dates are in the correct (Australian) format. However when I use it to make a pivot table, any dates that are before the 12/m/yyyy gets changed to the mmddyyyy format in the pivot table only, all the source dates are still correct.
I have a pivot table with a date variable in a row. I would like to filter these to only show dates equal to, or older than a date value in a cell, when opening the workbook. The max date value is based on the today() function minus 12 months.
I'm trying to have a command button clear all filters on a pivot table (PivotTable1) and apply a new filter equal to a cell value (C4). If the cell value can't be found I want the filter to equal "No Meeting". I'm trying to recycle the code from another workbook I built a long time ago, I just can't get it to convert to this application.
Code: Dim County As IntegerDim pvtTable As PivotTable Dim pvtField As PivotField Dim pvtItem As PivotItem
I am trying to form a macro in VBA that will basically uncheck the "Show All" function of the Pivot Table filter user interface, and then select only the one PivotItem that I want. In context, I have about 50+ different project numbers, each with a different worksheet and its corresponding pivot table. Here is what I have so far:
Dim pvtitem With ActiveSheet.PivotTables("PivotTable1").PivotFields("Project #") For Each pvtitem In .PivotItems pvtitem.Visible = False Next End With With ActiveSheet.PivotTables("PivotTable1").PivotFields("Project #") .PivotItems("525064").Visible = True End With
When I try to run it, it gives me the error: "Unable to set the Visible property of the PivotItem class". It looks like the error occurs in the loop part of the macro.
I have a huge excel file. This file contains Projects, Project Manager, departments and sales for different quarters. Each department has sales and the quarter the sale was done. Now I want to create a pivot table where I can see the sales for each quarter for each project or each project manager. Attached file may elaborate the problem. ShaA1.xlsx
I've created a PivotTable using VBA that contains hundreds of PivotItems, which would look bad when a PivotChart is made.
I'd like to set the PivotTable to make visible only the first X items (let's say 10). How would I do this in VBA?The macro recorder gives me the name of the PivotItem, but this varies so I'd like to use an index:
I want my report title is more dynamic which is based on the pivot table's <Status Date> filter. It mean if I select the <Status Date> filter option as 6-23-2014. Then the report title will automatic update as "Statistic Report 6-23-2014" instead of I have to change the date each time I run the report.
I have this code for setting a filter on my pivot table to show all data occuring after a certain date. Is there a way to add code so that instead of it saying "Value1:="31/10/2011"" that it would work out the last day of the current month and use that.
I need to filter a pivot table based on a field property. Sort of strange, but the database I get the PivotTable data from returns the Week in the accounting month. as the field name. It has several properties which I have figured out how to expose including the period end date. Now I need to figure out how to filter the PT based on that.
The following shows the property:
Code: ActiveSheet.PivotTables("PivotTable4").CubeFields("[Time]").AddMemberPropertyField Property:="[Time].[Week in Month].[End Date]
Now if I just knew how to filter with that value I could move on the the next issue ....
I have a summary worksheet, which has a drop down cell. on another tab I have a few pivot tables, is there a way I could get one of the pivot tables to auto filter based on the selection in the summary worksheet?
How to use an array of multiple values in code I want to use the array of values "jan" "feb" "mar" in the code instead of "jan"
Code: Private Sub Worksheet_Activate() ActiveSheet.PivotTables("Pivottable1").PivotCache.Refresh ActiveSheet.PivotTables("Pivottable1").PivotFields("cat").ClearAllFilters ActiveSheet.PivotTables("Pivottable1").PivotFields("cat").PivotFilters.Add _ Type:=xlCaptionDoesNotEqual, Value1:="jan" End Sub
My goal is for any of my team members to be able to use a macro to delete all of the unwanted text from a fairly large worksheet and only show their specific information. I created it for myself and posted a slimmed down version of it below. Instead of the macro deleting any rows that do not have BRANDON SCOTT in column D, I want a pop up box to enter your name, and then any rows that do not have your name in column D will be deleted. I’m sure it is something simple, but I have not been able to find another forum with this information.
Sub MyTeam2() With Columns("D") . AutoFilter field:=1, Criteria1:="<>BRANDON SCOTT*" .Resize(Rows.Count - 1).Offset(1).EntireRow.Delete .AutoFilter End With End Sub
