I have three sheets. A raw data sheet, a sheet of formatted data, and a third sheet with a list of invoice numbers.
I've already developed the code to format the raw data to the formatted data sheet. What I need is to populate the third sheet with the invoice numbers I've used, and not use the data from the data sheet if the invoice numbers are on the sheet with the list of invoice numbers.
I need to do this via a macro.

When I enter a value for 'Number of Steps' from a drop down a table is generated with the x values changing accordingly.
For example:
Number of Steps 5
x x^2

0 0
1 1
2 4
3 9
4 16
Number of Steps 9

1.5 2.25
2 4
2.5 6.25

3.5 12.25
4 16
You will notice that the number of steps is the number of x values that take us up to 4. The 4 is fixed. I would be able to work out the maths myself as I am a maths teacher but I was wondering how I could autopopulate the table based on a drop down box selection. If it involves going into VBA then don't worry my son needs to get to grips with what I have done.
Edit. The formatting does not seem to work above. On the left of each table is supposed to be the x value and on the right is x^2.

I have a worksheet which contains all the details of the medical equipment in the county that i'm responsible for.
This worksheet posesses amongst others; two columns titled location and sublocation.
I need a technique which will allow me to select a location from a dropdown list, select a sublocation again from a list and for these two conditions to then populate a list containing data such as asset code and description of all the items in the location and sublocation (possibly a little like an advanced filter, but only for the selected conditions)
This list will then be used to provide an engineers report on equipment holdings at various locations. I'm open to any ideas fellas.

I then have 5 additional sheets.
I want to populate cell D2 on each additional sheet with the values from Sheet1
Sheet2 - Value1 in "D2"
Sheet3 - Value2 in "d2"
and so on...

I am attempting to populate a row of several cells on a worksheet using a drop-down list, using data from a seperate worksheet in the same workbook. The worksheet containing the data will be hidden (I do not think that matters in this case). Do I place a VLOOKUP function in the first worksheet cells? see attached sample

As a follow-up question, as time goes by, the data in the source worksheet will be appended with new items (additional rows of data). As each new item is added, will I need to edit the formulas, or is there a way for Excel to dynamically add the new data? This might be stretching my wish list a bit but I thought I'd ask.

[URL]....When I select a name in column B, it populates column C's dropdown with that name's list of units. When I select a unity type in column C, I'd like it to automatically populate column E in the same row with the value associated with that unit. The values associated with a particular unit can be found to the right of the sheet. So if in row 2 I select Blake in column B, then Unit 5 in column C, I'd like column E to be populated with 14.
Edit: using Excel 2007.
I attached stripped down version of the sheet which is small enough to post. None of the things I removed should affect the topic at hand. The full sheet is available at rapidshare.

I'm trying to work out how to have cells R11 - Rxx generate the correct date, based on the rest of the calculations.
Please note that the attached is a crude cut down version of the larger spreadsheet, for the purpose of highlighting my problem.
SO, if E7 is changed, subsequently the values in K11:Rxx will be respectively updated.
D12 and G12 are entered manually. (although I'll probably make these drop downs or date choosers at some point...)
Depending on the value in E7 and time in D12, the required break period is listed in K11: Kxx.
The time that these periods of rest are required to occur before is then calculated and listed in O11:Oxx.
I need R11:Rxx to calculated the appropriate date from these calculations, relative to the date in G12.
For example, the rest required in K11, is required on the same day, as such it need to populate with the value in G12.
However the rest required in K13:Kxx, is required by a time (O13:Oxx) on the following day - G12+1
In some case, this time variance could run over 2 or more days.
I figure it's got something to do with the value in D12 also including the date of 0/1/1900.
I'm happy to add hidden cells for formulas/results to work around it, as the end product will print as an A4 document, where many cells will be locked.
Would prefer not go with any VBA unless it's my only option as I haven't done any VBA stuff as yet.
NB (the value in P5 is static only in this example)

I have this concept of a table of responses that have to be generated every month or on command. These reports export from a website into a certain format, its easy for me to adjust it so it can populate a the table. Although, i want to incorparate my date picker so everytime i pick a certain date a diffrent set of data will populate from the report. it seems very possible, just need to know where to go from. Either a VBA code or a fomula to allow for this to happen.
Heres and example..(cell linked to date picker)........column1 column2 column3,(date picker from microsoft),,each has a corresponding month
.....................................................................jan
.....................................................................feb
.....................................................................etc.
say i pick january, i want these columns to give me my data from a sheet or other workbook(the january report). i want everything linked so it will do this for virtually every month of the year. ive attached an example, the only thing i can think of is to make the cell that changes with when i pick a date to link to the report criteria.

I am trying to have the calendar in the second tab of the attached excel file to auto populate based on info in the first tab.
In the first tab, there is the start and end dates of certain projects. The calendar will need to only show the project name of every project being worked on that specific day.
Some days will have more than one project being worked on, the Calendar will just need to list them all under that day. The Start and End dates count as days the project being worked on as well. We will also need the calendar to auto update whenever we modify the dates in the first tab or add/remove projects (rows).

Is it possible to be able to select a range of dates, and a time interval, and then to automatically fill in cells in a column? to be more specific, I want to be able to select, say 1 Jan 2013 to 31 dec 2013 in one box, then specify a time interval, for example "hourly" and then a column is populated with each interval, i.e. 1 jan 2013 00:00, and then the next one is 1 jan 2013 01:00 etc. I have tired the normal automatic fill tool but it never seems to get it right. It works for the first few days then it all goes funny.

I want to display the percentage of occupancy for each month for condo rentals.
I have columns with dates that represent bookings throughout the year. check in and check out dates to be more precise. (A1 and B1 for example) and I have columns with months Jan, Feb, etc. (C1, D1, etc. for example)
The problem I run in to is that I can calculate the number of days between the dates and the fraction of the year (*12 to get a monthly value, but I fail to understand how I can break that up so that I can populate each month with a correct percentage of the total term.
E.g. A1=1-jan-2014 and B1=20-jan-2014 is an easy one because it only covers 1 month:
formula: =(YEARFRAC(A1,B1,3))*12 gives me 62,47% which I could just use as is for that month.
So far so good, but when the period covers more than one month or when the months overlaps, I don't know how to break the outcome up into the appropriate months to display the correct percentage for each month in its own column.
e.g. A1=1-jan-2014 and B1=20-Mar-2014 gives me a result of 253% with the same formula.
100% for November, 100% for December and 63% for January, which I could somehow formulate to break up over different Months.
But then it gets more tricky. What if the booking starts on a day other than the 1st of the Month?
e.g. A1=5-jan-2014 and B1=20-Mar-2014
The result of the formula (243%) is correct, but isn't sufficient to put the correct percentages for each month in their respective column.
What formula(s) should I use to break down the percentages to match the correct fraction of each individual month?

I'm using Excel 2010 on a Windows 7 machine.
I have one sheet with a large list of dates and total prices.
I have a second sheet with a list of dates and unit prices.
I want to divide the total price in my first list by the unit price on my second list.
I want to somehow point Excel to the date in the first list, and then lookup the corresponding date in the second list to use the correct unit price.
My thoughts thus far have been along using VLOOKUP with WEEKNUM and YEAR but I've been unsuccessful.

In the following extract, I would like to have today's date placed into Col K when an entry is made into Col J.
Entry into Col J is from a validation list of 3 options. What I desire is that when one of these options is selected ("Complete"), then I would like today's date to be written into Col K.
Currently Col K has a validation list which comprises dates from 1st of each month from July to June.
I need a fixed date as text preferably, so was thinking the VBA function "Date" on a Change Workbook Sub.
The information is currently part of a Table in Excel 2007 that has about 500 records.

My current list if from A2:B300
I am trying to have a piece of code go through all the records in this list, if any of the dates are within the next 2 weeks (from now()) then copy this record (name, date) and put in sheet2. And loop through all 300 records or possibly additional records.

I'm working with 2 date columns and trying to filter a view to only include projects with dates within 3 months of today's date.
I've attached a current working file of the data and the end result i'm hoping to achieve via a macro of some sort.
I've manually got it to work via formula by inserting 2 additional columns (highlighted yellow) which determine if the dates "YES" fall in this 3 month time frame of "" blank if not.
create a macro which does all of this automatically without modifying any columns if this is possible

I have collected some data on economic factors for different countries. Unfortunately, the dates when I started to calculated my economic factors are different for each country (due to the data available to me).
What I would like Excel to have done is to take the date when I started to measure for e.g. country A (D3 ie 30/06/2007), copy it into column "I" (for country A, it's cell I3) and fill in the following months in the rows below (with always the date of the last day of a month) until it reaches 28th of Feb 2013. Then, it should go up to the next country (country B) take the starting date (D4, ie 31/07/2007), go to the last entry in "I" (ie I71) and paste the date in, fill in the months until 28th of Feb 2013, do the same for country C and so on.
I have started to code a VBA but I am unfortunately a beginner in VBA and totally stuck at the moment. My VBA code does paste in the months but for some reason, it also changes the starting date of the first month.
Moreover, I tried a workaround for the fact that Excel doesnt know when to stop; ie I introduced a "monthdiff" variable which should calculate the number of months between the starting date (which is variable and unique for each country) and the end date (which is always 28th of Feb 2013). At the moment, it only does this for country A.
VB:

I have tried to make this dynamic but have been unsuccessful so far.

I see there is a data filter option for "next quarter" but not 100% sure if this covers the quarter from today's date?

I am now trying to create a excel macro to auto populate all the dates with reference to a start date and end date. The catch is that only working days are required in the range. My reference cells (start and end date) are in Sheet 1 while the destination cell range are in Sheet 2. The reason for creating a macro instead of a function is that the intervals between the start date and end date changes frequently (annual, semi-annual and quarterly) Best case scenario would be a button which I can just press after i input the dates to generate the range of dates in another sheet.

I have a start date for a contract in cell AM1. I need AN1 show a date six months from the start date in AM1. I am fine with that part.
However, I would like for AN1 to calculate not only a six-month date but also to auto-update to the next six month date from AM1 once the first six month date is about, let's say, one month past. What I am doing is calculating when a six-month inspection needs to be completed; these inspections are ongoing, so I need them to auto-update.
So let's say a contract was awarded today, 25 JAN 2010. That would be value in AM1.
I want AN1 to produce a date six months from 25 JAN 2010, which would be 25 JUL 2010 (yes, this way of calculating the six month date is fine). Then around, let's say, 25 AUG 2010, I want AN1 to auto-update to produce the next six month date, which would be 25 JAN 2011 (six months from 25 JUL). Obviously the function would need to relate to TODAY() in some way.

I'm creating a spreadsheet to keep track of my costs of production in an online game. Within the game there are a range of spawned resources that appear for only a short time before being unobtainable these resources have specific types that is shared between multiple spawns of the resource but each resource spawn has a unique name.
My first worksheet lists all the resources and their various qualities and the later worksheets are meant to allow me to choose from a list resources matching the requirements of the item I'm looking to craft. The example i have shown in the second picture requires Tatooinian Fiberplast and Lokian Wild Wheat to craft so in the Chosen Resource column I would like to have a drop down list allowing me to select the named resource type i would like to use - for Tatooinian Fiberplast the only thing on the list should be Omnitwixi and for the Wild Wheat it should show Fizi and Krad

In cell A1 I have a drop down list with all the months of the year. What I want to do is if A1 has January selected, B1 becomes February and C1 becomes March. Basically I want the next 2 months.
What happens when December is selected? How would i have January in B1 and February in C1?

My boss asked me to create a workbook that notify you when the date in the sheet is more than 11 months old.
In column A has list of street names and in column B is where the dates of completed Footpath Replacement occured by the contractors.
We have to check those new footpaths before 12 months up otherwise contractors will not have to return to fix any fault they made.
So what is the code be in Visual Basic Editor with the message box to warn you of any date that is 11 months old?

I have managed to create a formula to add a date (contained in cell E3) to a number of months (contained in cell F3).
This formula is in cell G3
=DATE(YEAR(E3), MONTH(E3)+(F3+1), 0)
This works fine. Apart from before I put information into E3 and or F3 then G3 displays "31/01/1900". I wish G3 to remain empty until information is entered into both E3 and F3.
I have used data validation on cell E3 to restrict users to enter a date between 01/01/1980 and 01/01/2099.

I have a macro that adds a text in column H if criteria is met. In column Q I have a date field. I'd like to add 3 months to that date and put the result after my text below, so it would look something like this:
