Remove Space Between Variable And Constant Part Of File Name?

I have 800+ files the problem is that the file name ends in 80 different combination so I need to try all of those for each file.

eg: one of the 800 is "109 st no 103 av" the file could be called:
"109 st no 103 av nb1_cleaned.xls" or
"109 st no 103 av nb 1_cleaned.xls" or
"109 st no 103 av nb 1._cleaned.xls" or
"109 st no 103 av sb1_cleaned.xls"
.
.
.
.etc

I wrote a code to try all those combinations, the issue lies a space the code adds before _cleaned, how to remove it?.

So the name should be
"109 st no 103 av nb1_cleaned.xls"
but my code is letting it be
109 st no 103 av nb1 _cleaned.xls

Where the variable Ord is the "1" after nb.

1 I need to open a csv file in order to use data in it at location "C:BarkingEMCIN" to input into an xls spreadsheet. I then need to use the info from the xls spreadsheet along with other info input by users to produce another .csv and it be deposited at "C:BarkingEMCOUT"

The name of the file at "C:BarkingEMCIN" will change everyday or even multiple times a day and be in the format "AVA_DA_260208_BPL_EDF_001.CSV" "AVA DA " will remain the same "260208" will be todays date the next 2 will be interchangeable depending on requirements and use BPL EDF and SSE will be interchangeable depending on requirements and 001 will be the version whcih will be changable. _ underscores will be used as seperators

They will then be save in the format "NOM_DA_260208_BPL_EDF_001.CSV" using the same prinipals as before but automatically saving as the next available when needed with a prompt to tell the user what it will be

Is there any way to remove the first part of a string of text in a cell and save the second part?

The first part of the text string is a team code that has a variable number of numbers, capital letters and sometimes spaces. The second part of the text string is a variable number of words in a team name that all start with a capital letter and have lower case letters. Every line has a different team code and team name.

The original spreadsheet also has a column with just team code. Is there a way of using this column to "subtract" the team code from the text string to just leave the team name?

I want to basically set a varible that can be called back into a multiple of documents I will try and explain this as best as I can but it is a fortnightly pay date... i.e. 22/04/2009 Wednesday... as the payroll is fortnightly I want to be able to use the current date or todays date in a future proof macro.

i.e. if todays date is the 14/04/09 then the next pay date has to be the 22/04/09, if this was run in two weeks it would be 06/05/2009.

I was thinking a long the lines of lock in one start date... 14/01/09, then adding increments of 14 days until todays date - variable + 14 * r = "-"

SourceData:="claim_export!R1C1:R[" & numbers & "]C[23]" OR
SourceData:="claim_export!R1C1:R[" & numbers & "]C23

They all produce the same resulting error:

Run-time error '5': Invalid procedure call or argument.

Note* I am sure my variable is working, because when I "step into" (F8) my code and hover over my variable I can see it showing the number I expect.

I have the following array function that I am trying to get to work properly:

ActiveCell.FormulaArray = "=SUM(IF(NCR!O2:O100=39326,NCR!Q2:Q100,0))"
39326 is the value of 9/1/2007, and this formula works properly.

I am looking for a way to use this formula but replace 39326 with whatever date is in the first row of the same column as the active cell when it is run.

That is, if the macro was run with cell B8 as the active cell, "39326" would be replaced with whatever value was in cell B1.

Adding A Constant To Sets Of Rows Of Variable Size

I have data from 100 trials. Each trial has a variable number of data points (rows), but each row is labeled in the first column with the trial number. I would like a macro to identify the first row of each trial, calculate the difference of the value of the cell in column G of that row from a constant (718), and then add that difference to that cell and all other cells in that column of that trial.

So based on the attached sample, I would like all values in column G for trial 2 to be +1, for trial 3 to be -5, and for trial 4 to be +2.

In the file, I've cleared all the data from the impertinent columns. Eventually, I will also want to perform a similar process on column H but with a different constant.

Only thing is that a constant, to the best of my knowledge, must be an expression and not a variable. Mainly, I'm trying to avoid declaring the myName variable in each Sub within Form2, which it will be needed for a ton of Sub's.

I need to delete a leading space from multiple cells, 200 or more. The leading space is in front of text that is often more than one word so I can't just copy into Word and do a find and replace on the spaces.

I looked in many places and found out about the Trim function but when I tried it, it didn't work for me. I created a column next to the column that I want to remove the leading spaces from.

Then I put =TRIM(B2) in the first cell, =TRIM (B3) in the next one, etc. But all it did was put the exact same thing as before (with the leading space still in it) in that column?

I want to remove the front zero(s) from the front and put a space before the last two letters for the following column of data in Excel:

0001MG
0020MG
0100MG
1000MG

Final result will have this format and the data are right aligned.

1000 MG

The numbers can vary (e.g. 0150MG, 0025MG,etc.) but the arrangement is always the same: four figures for the first 4 characters and two letters for the last two characters.
The format of the cells containing the data is: “General”

My table has 7 columns and these data are in the 5th column in a worksheet called “ProductSummary”. The number of rows for the records can vary from 10 to over a couple of hundred.

How can I use VBA to: 1) automatically select the table range in that worksheet and reformat all the data in the 5th column.

I generate a somewhat textual report of my calculations. Dependent upon the variables, some lines of my generated text end up blank. I need a way to automatically condense the report, eliminating all unnecessary blank lines.

For example:
