Retrieve Cell Data From Another Excel File And Paste Into Specified Cells In Current Spreadsheet

I have a spreadsheet witht the following design:
Column A = Date
Column B = Value 1
Column C = Value 2
I have a folder with excel files named by date (e.g. 081212 = 8th December 12). Within each of those files is Value 1 and Value 2. They are always in the same cell (B6= Value 1, B16= Value 2).
How can i create a macro/script where the Values in Column B and Column C in my spreadsheet are automatically updated where there is a Date in Column A but no values in Column B or C?
In other words, i need the script to read the date in Column A and if Column B and Column C are blank, then it needs to find the corresponding date excel file and copy Value 1 and Value 2 into the cells in my spreadsheet.

I have to Browse 3 excel sheets and copy the sheets from those excel sheets and paste in one sheet of current active excel sheet.
all the data from 3 excel sheets should be present in one sheet of current excel which is one next to other.

Excel 2010, Windows 8.1. I want to retrieve a photo from a folder and paste it into a cell. I have the paste and format process figured out but I'm having trouble putting the file path together to retrieve the photo. If I use the full path, the statement below retrieves "IMAG1234.jpg" and puts it where I want it.

But if I have a different photo file name as a string in a cell (e.g. "IMAG5678.jpg") what is the syntax to attach it to the file path? i.e
ActSheet.Pictures.Insert("C:UsersEljafeDocuments1-QCReport_Photos") & "IMAG5678.jpg".Select '(which of course doesn't work)
So, I have a path but I want to attach different photo number to the path from a sting in a cell.

On sheet1 I have 6 products in E15:E20 and their prices in AB15:AB20.
I have created userform1:
Step 1. When the form shows I'd like the products in E15:E20 to show under "Product" and prices in AB15:AB20 to show under "Price".
Step 2. The user needs to be able to add a price value in either the "-Disc" and/or "+Fees" fields, from this the adjusted price should show in "New Price"
Step 3. When the user hits "Add", the value under "New Price" needs to show up in AB15:AB20. To complicated this last step (maybe) in cells AB15:AB20 is:

I still do not have my dummy files ready but wanted to start the discussion on Retrieving Specific Data form Txt file.
Later I will post sample files.
For now, I will appreciate any ideas on how can I refer to specific place in the txt file and get the relevant information to excel spreadsheet.
The criteria for searching the text file must be:
1.Look for specific ABC
2.right below must be a date: 01/20/2010
3.When those two criteria are met then go down and find the first occurrence of the word: “Test”
4.When you find the word, on the right of this word must find numbers
5.Get those numbers to excel

I have a blank file and a data file for current year with formulas.
So I am trying to take a couple of tabs from current year data file and pasting them into the blank file.
My question when is do that all the formulas get referenced to the current years file. i want to keep the same formulas but reference the tabs on blank file.
Is there a quicker way to do this rather and going into all the cells and changing reference from current years files data to blank files data.

I have numerous spreadsheets that I need to open and unhide a sheet, that has XML data stored in cell A1. What I need to do is copy that data in cell A1 and paste it into a text document and save that as an XML file saved as the XLS workbook name with a date stamp.
I'm running into many issues, the main issue is the saving as current file name, and the formatting of the text/XML file.
Here is my current code, which doesn't reference the current file name and is just very generic. Once I get the saving as file-name correct and the formatting of the xml file correct, I will work on it a bit more.

I have created a userform with multipage, has two page that add new record in a excel sheet. Data has a unique reference no.(TxtRef.Value) for each record. I am trying to add a button to load the added data for a specific record using reference no back to userform so that it can be updated and overwrite back to the sheet in the same row, So far it is adding new record correctly. I do not know how to populate all the fields of the of an existing record and overwrite it back to the same row instead of adding a new record. Below is my codes

Excel macro to retrieve some valid data from one sheet to another which has some values.
Description;- I have made an excel sheet for daily stock details which contains data like stock in, out, daily production for various products. I have made a menu which contains button of stock in, out and production, and one sheet for current stock where I enter In and out. I wand a macro when I click the button from the main menu it gives me all the production details taking from one sheet and past it in different sheet in the same workbook but it should not give the details of those products which does not have and production.

I have a system running Windows 7 Professional (32 bit) and MS Office 2010.
In Excel 2010, I have a spreadsheet that contains several hundred rows of data. When I cut and paste a section of data, Excel jumps to the top of the spreadsheet. This does not happen when I copy/paste, just cut/paste.

I have created an action plan in Excel, with a column containing the values Yes, No and Partial to show prgress against the actions. I have used CountIF (in cells D72 to D74) to count the number of each Yes, No and Partial. I want to be able to put these figures in a chart each month. I am using columns F to Q for the chart data. the headings of the chart columns are month values, e.g, F1 is "6" (for June).
I have used Month(Now()) to generate the current month value in cell B1. I now need a macro that will check the value in B1 against the chart table headings in F1 to Q1 and if it finds a match, will copy the values D72 to D74 into the chart table below the relevant heading.

I have two spreadsheets in Excel 2003.
Spreadsheet 1 has 10 columns of data (A-J). I want to copy a variable number of rows from spreadsheet 1 to spreadsheet 2.
When I paste into spreadsheet 2, I'd like to automatically insert blank cells in three places, taking the total number of columns to 13. I'd like columns C, F and I to be blank, and the last column with data to be M.
I will perform this task regularly, and add the copied cells to the bottom of spreadsheet 2, so I'd only like to insert blank cells within the range that I'm copying, not the entire spreadsheet.
I will then populate the blank cells with a VLOOKUP function. Do I need another macro to automatically add the formula to the cells, or is there a way to include this in the cell-inserting macro?

Can I retrieve, from VBA, the exact value of a cell?
If in A1 I write 0.12348 with general, number or text format, from vba with MsgBox ActiveSheet.Cells(1, 1) I obtain 0.12348.
If in A1 write 0.12348 with currency or accounting formats, from vba with MsgBox ActiveSheet.Cells(1, 1) I obtain 0.1235.
Naturally, I need retrieve complete values from cells with format accounting?

I have attached a sample workbook. The list of file name is in sheet 1. An example of the output is in sheet 2. The data in column A is dummy data generally spans 100's of rows not just 10 as in the example.
The purpose of the code is to be able to put a list of file names in column a in sheet 1 and extract data from those files in a folder. The data extraction works fine. The reson for adding the file names is so that I know what file the data came from.
