Jan 9, 2014I am working on an email marketing project and i have a small problem. I have two different email list. One (List A) is a large list of potential leads. The other (List B) is a list of leads we are not supposed to market to. I need to delete every lead on List A whose email address is also in List B, so that we do not send unwanted emails to our clients.
The best way i have to do this so far is to go through line by line, which is very impractical.
In case it matters here is out list format. Each list has 10,000 + leads. Each lead occupies a row. The row stretches across 13 columns and each column holds a different variable about the lead (names, state, email address).
Excel 2013 :: Can Sort List A-Z Then Numbers At Bottom Of List
Jun 5, 2014Does excel 2013 have a fence way to sort a list of alpha numeric numbers and alphabetize in this order A - Z and then 0 - 9.

May 31, 2009I'm using Excel 2007 and have created a spreadsheet for invoicing. I have created a dropdown list which then imports the address data using vlookup.
My problem is this. If there is no text in say, address field 4 the resulting field in the invoice shows as a 0 eg,
NAME
ADD1
ADD2
ADD3
0
POSTCODE
Is there a way to move the Postcode to the empty cell showing 0? and/or how do I make the cell to show blank instead of a 0.
Outlook Address List Too Big
Apr 30, 2009I am using this peice of code from another post in order to fill a ListBox with Outlook addresses. It works fine, but the the list has thousands upon thousands of names and it takes forever to run. I thought I'd add code to only add specific entries based on what a user inputs to a TextBox, but it doesn't seem to speed-up the process. how I can get to the user-defined data more quickly?

Jul 26, 2013I'm trying to copy a list of addresses from a website and paste that into Excel. I'm having problems because Excel doesn't separate each address. The original website address list has clear separation of addresses (returns, tabs, etc). For example:
John Doe
111 Fox Street
Van Nuys, CA 91403 (See there's no separation between addresses)
Michael Smith
2759 Apple Street
Encino, CA 93727

Paste Address List From Website To Excel?
Jun 19, 2014I am trying cut and paste a list into Excel, and have Excel separate the different fields for me. There are 12 lines per each entry on the list. I use Firefox as my browser, and when I cut and paste using Firefox into Excel, this is how it looks:

I'm hoping for the final product to look like this:

Feb 21, 2014I am trying to see if an email address matches with a list of names in a worksheet. If so, it would proceed with code. For example, I have an email address 'middlesburg.john@gmail.com' that we get through an input box and in the list, we find John Middlesburg. Since it is obvious that John Middlesburg is middlesburg.john@gmail.com, how can I get it to go on through?

I want a macro (that will be attached to a button or text in column H) that will copy that entire row (as well as the headers in ROW 4) and email that info via the default email application being used on the users PC (most likely to be MS outlook). i.e if i click on the button or text in column H for Task A (Row 5), an email will be sent to JB@excel.com (column G), for Task E (Row 9), an email will be sent to TB@excel.com,...etc.
I would prefer it if the info was sent as the actual message in the email instead of an excel attachment.
Convert Address List To Multiple Columns
Apr 10, 2009I'm looking for a way to convert an old church address list that is formatted in a single column. There are no blank rows, but the amount of rows for each entry can vary. For instance, there could be as little as 3 rows of data (church name, address, city/state/zip) or more if email addresses and websites are provided.
The data is currently in the format below (notice how one entry has a website while the other does not).
First Church
102 Main Street
Dallas, TX 12345
email@whatever.com
Second Church
500 Second Street
Austin, TX 12376
email2@whatever.com

So I'm looking for the data to be formatted like the following:

I was able to find the following code from a Google search, but it can't dynamically adjust the range.

I think what I need to make this code work is a way to dynamically adjust the range so that it can determine when to move to the next row of data. Static ranges break the process due to the amount of data being provided not being uniform. What I was thinking is that I could use the word "church" as a start point and end point in a loop so the script knows when to jump to the next row and begin copying the proper number of columns. I'm just not sure how to accomplish this in vba.
Cleaning Up Address List - Some Are Single Cells / Some Are Double?
Mar 7, 2013My problem has to do with an list of over 22,000 addresses (don't want to think about going through it manually )
The names are in column A and the addresses are in column B. The problem is, is that some of the addresses fit in one cell and others are spread over two (Oklahoma City, OK in one cell, 73034 in the one below it, for example.)
The names with corresponding addresses taking up two squares have been placed in merged cells, so that they line up with their addresses. Here is a picture below.

What I need is each address in one cell next to its address in one cell (to make it searchable, etc.) I thought I was being really clever when I copied Column A, then pasted the formatting onto Column B (so that the cells would be 1:1, one name cell, one address cell) but didn't realize I would be losing the information in the cells being merged.
Address Formatting From Wordpad To Make Mailing List
Mar 11, 2013I have a data set for over 9000 addresses and can't get it formatted the way I need to. Attached is a small version of the doc. I need colums with "Name, address, zip, state, etc." and need to get rid of any duplicate addresses. address mock1.xlsx.
The main issue i'm running into is some of the addresses are 3 rows, some are 4 or 5. If there is a way to group all the data automatically between the "----------------------" that seperate them I think the offset or concatenate tools might work?

I need to get this data into the form ...

I would think this has been done, but I've searched the web and this forum without success.
Long List Won't Sort?
Jul 22, 2013I am trying to sort a fairly long list of tasks into a custom calendar order. I have created the custom list as Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan etc through to Aug, with one additional heading of "Recurring". The list won't seem to sort by the column where these headings occur. See attachment.

May 7, 2009Is it possible to sort numerous worksheets based off a list of cells that are the names of the worksheets within the same file? For example my worksheet names are:
YTD Texas
YTD Florida
Period Texas
Period Florida
I can sort the sheets by alpha but it puts the two YTD worksheets together when I need the two Texas sheets side by side (I need this on a file that contains over 100 worksheets otherwise I would do it manually) I was wondering if I could create my order of sheet name in another worksheet and reference that list through vba code?
Getting A List To Automatically Sort
Oct 17, 2013I am trying to get a list to sort automatically. I am running a competition over an 11 week period and entering weekly data that is totalled on a separate "Totals" sheet.
This "Totals" sheet, in turn, feeds a "Scores" sheet which I want to automatically sort in descending order of score in order to show the current positions in the competition.
The data in the list isn't entered directly but comes from formulas that reference cells in other workbooks.
I have found ways of sorting a list when you enter data into the list itself but what I need is a macro that will update the sort order automatically whenever a new value is entered in one of the other workbooks.
Sort List By No Of Characters
Feb 18, 2007I have a large list of phrases, about 30,000 all in Col A. (From A3 to be exact)
What I want is to sort by number of characters.
I know excel can sort A-Z,,, but I can't see by number of characters??
Is there anyway I can sort this list by No of Characters please??
List does include letters and numbers.
But they are mainly 3-4 keyword phrases.
This is so from a large list all the least amount of characters will be at the top of the list so I can easily see them,, and probably delete most of the 1,2,3,4 character returned results.

Sort List With X Exceptions
Aug 22, 2007I need to create a custom sort which will cause entries "TBD" and blank to appear at the bottom of my spreadsheet. Any other value will be sorted alphabetically. I'm not sure how to create my sort list to do this. I tried "*, TBD " but this did not work.

Add Custom Sort List To VBA Code
Mar 12, 2009I have a Macro that I have recorded that autosorts several columns for me. This works fine as I have 5 columns that need to be sorted in a particular way.
The problem is that I have a custom list which I stored using the: Tools>Options>Custom List tab. Now this works fine on my pc as I have the custom list stored on my PC.however the problem is when someone else uses it on their PC it may no longer work as they won't have my custom list stored on their PCs.
Is there a way to store the custom list in a Macro and then use that list to sort to the criteria needed. For example "One, Two, Three, Four" will not store in alphabetically, so hope would I be able to sort so that they would appear in a chronological manner? Below is the code for the Macro I recorded. As you can see one of the lines says "OrderCustom:=6"; this I am assuming is reading from the list I created.
